Great location for a 2 BR penthouse right in the middle of town and across the street from Tamarindo Beach! Featured on HGTV's "Live Here, Buy This" show.



The Space:

Rent for less than a hotel!! This two bedroom, two bath penthouse is located in the middle of it all! Cross the street, and you hit the sand at Tamarindo Beach. Hear the waves crash from your private balcony! Luxury and convenience describe this wonderful condo located in the Sunrise gated community. This is the best location in Tamarindo and you are walking distance to restaurants, shopping, medical services and more, so a car is not necessary!



Important Notice:

There is construction taking place near the condominium, which may cause some noise during your stay at certain times. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact us directly. We’ll be happy to assist you.



This exclusive 1200 SF penthouse is nicely furnished and features a king-size bed in the master with private bath. There is also a full size bed and twin size bed in the second bedroom with private bathroom with walk in shower. This home sleeps up to five in beds plus 2 additional guests on the queen size sleeper sofa. Need a travel crib? No problem! Just reach out our concierge team to arrange one. Keep in mind they are subjected to availability and have an additional charge.



The large, gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils and cookware, granite countertops, wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, air fryer, and washer/dryer. The spacious living room features a queen size sleeper sofa, flat screen TV and dining table for 8 guests. Free Wi-Fi, Cable TV, and 24-hour security. The large covered balcony has an outdoor dining area, seating area and gas BBQ grill for your use! Daily maid service available for an additional fee. All linens are provided. Large televisions in living room and both bedrooms. Central air conditioning and ceiling fans in all rooms. Large, resort style pool with cascading waterfall and plenty of space to relax.



As a guest of this property, we also include a complimentary welcome basket with coffee, coffee filters, salt, pepper, cooking oil, and shampoo/soaps. The condo is FULLY stocked with other bonus items for your personal use such as beach towels, a cooler and more!!!

There is plenty to do in Tamarindo! From world-class surfing, diving, fishing, horseback riding, ATV tours, shopping, and dining. Day trips to the Volcano and White water rafting. We are happy to provide free, competitive quotes for private rental cars or transportation to/from Liberia or San Jose International. We are locals and are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this property and the surrounding area. We are here to make your next Costa Rican getaway memorable.

Check-in/out was very easy. The location is perfect. There is access to the beach right across the street, and everything to do in Tamarindo is within easy walking distance. The penthouse had everything we wanted and was a great place to stay.

Fantastic stay in Tamarindo

Great condo!

We enjoyed our time at this condo, the location was close to the beach and restaurants and we loved the pool. The management company was very fast to respond to my questions and also helped us book a ride to the airport. Highly recommended!

Excellent location

The location was great, steps from the beach and tons of shops/restaurants! The condo was very clean and well maintained. The only issue was that when heavy rain occurred, the wall in the master bedroom had some water coming in. Excellent property and easy check-in process. Would stay here again if we return to Tamarindo.

Beachside Condo

Great property across the street from an excellent beach. Restaurants and grocery store within walking distance. Really nice pool for guests to use. Easy check-in process and they provided a shuttle to and from the airport (same price as all competitive shuttles). We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay, Condo was beautiful and centrally located!

Blue Water properties was amazing and were very responsive to our needs and any questions we had. The condo itself was very beautifully furnished with a local flair. The elevator wasn't working in our building but the stairs to the 4th floor were welcomed given the vacation eating and drinking we were doing through the week:) Sunrise property is a great location - just steps from the main beach and just a 5 min walk from basically all restaurants and shopping. Condo 12 has a great view of the ocean and we spent most of our time on the patio when we were in the condo. The condo comes equipped with everything we needed for our stay - major appliances, washer dryer, internet and kitchen supplies. Thanks so much for sharing your unit with us for our first time stay in Tamarindo Costa Rica!

Great location and property, wonderful service!

This was our first visit to Costa Rica/Tamarindo and first rental through VRBO, so were a bit apprehensive about the trip. Turns out, we had nothing to worry about. The Sunrise condo complex is terrific, easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and just about anything else you need in Tamarindo. The layout and amenities of the condo were terrific and the view was outstanding. The pool provided a great respite from the beach and was well kept. and the service provided by the Blue Water staff was super responsive. We had an issue with the safe when we first arrived, but they had someone over to fix it immediately. They also arranged all of our tours and everything on those was perfect. We highly recommend Sunrise and Blue Water for anyone traveling to this wonderful part of the world.

Great view, great location, everything the same as the day it first rented

The kitchen needed more items to be considered fully stocked, we called on the refrigerate almost every day, it did not make ice or keep the beer cold. The place is poorly lit and the toilets run if you do not pull the handle up. For the price I expected better, but the worst is that we got introduced to bed bugs. We called Blue Water Properties, they first sent house keeping and the second call they sent the exterminator of course by then we all had bites. If you plan to tour check around for pricing, check weather and tides. Tamarindo is know to locals as Tamagringo and it does reflect it in the prices. All that said Tamarindo was a great place to vacation. The people are friendly and the country is clean.

Hello Tim: Thanks for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay in town and enjoyed the view from the condo. In regards to the kitchen, it is rather well stocked but we did add the kitchen towels and potholder as requested. In regards to the bed bugs--we had the property fumigated as quickly as we possibly could and sorry that you had to deal with that. The fumigation company could not confirm that it was, in fact, bed bugs. Having said that, we have since removed the mattress and deep cleaned the condo to avoid any further instances. This is the first 'bug' issue we had in this condo and I can assure you the last. Regards, The Team at Blue Water Properties

Beautiful Property!

Checking out Tamarindo

I wanted to check out Tamarindo to see if it was a place I wanted to retire. Sunrise condos was in the most perfect location in town for me to be able to walk and get a feel for what the town was like. Checking in was very easy and the management company was very responsive. At the last moment I realized I needed to extend by 1 day. All I did was send the concierge a note via the VRBO app and within no time at all I received a reply advising it would be no problem at all. The condo was well equipped and the electronic keypad made for easy access to the condo. This condo was exactly what I was looking for.

Perfect Location

This was by far our best stay in Tamarindo...Great location in every way just a block from the beach, close to great restaurants, and the view from the condo is amazing! Some days we just went to the pool which was very easily accessed. We also had great service from the property manager and concierge. A perfect vacation! Will continue to book my vacations through Blue Water!

We really enjoyed sunrise tamarindo, we were on the top floor with gorgeous views of the ocean ... The location is simply perfect, in the heart of town walk anywhere... Perfect location

Very well located and comfortable for our family of 3. Our grandson loved having a surfing beach across the way. We all loved being able to walk to restaurants and to the grocery store. The pool was beautiful and a good place to meet other families.

Great vacation place for families

Great location, short walk to restaurantes and beatiful beaches. The appartment is very comfortable and well equiped. Staff is super friendly!

Beautiful view with every convenience within walking distance

We were lucky enough to spend a month in this beautiful condo. The staff at Blue Water were very helpful and the condo was well stocked and roomy. We loved our stay!
