LAKE LEVELS: Douglas Lake is a seasonal dam controlled lake. Lake levels vary. TVA (TN Valley Authority) starts releasing water from the dam in the Fall in order to make room for winter storms and snow run-off. This lowers the water in the cove in early Fall. The lake is at it's fullest from early May and late August. The home owners do not control the lake levels or rain accumulation. However, the cabin and its location are beautiful year round. Please check TVA website for more accurate lake Level information. https://www.tva.com/environment/lake-levels
FIRE PIT: We have a lovely fire pit for very small fires. If it is dry due to a lack of rain, there are fire bans which much be observed.
