Tucked away in the wooded beauty of Monteagle Mountain, Leprechaun Lodge is a peaceful hideaway offering 400 square feet of serene comfort. Located within the gated community of The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls, this luxury tiny home is surrounded by nature’s finest, from tranquil walking trails to cascading waterfalls.

Inside, you’ll enjoy all the comforts of home, including a fully equipped kitchen, cozy fireplace, loft space, private bath, and a serene master bedroom. Whether you’re sipping coffee under the trees or gathering around the community fire pits, this is the perfect place to unwind from life’s hustle.

Just minutes from South Cumberland State Park, The University of the South, and endless hiking, biking, and outdoor fun. Leprechaun Lodge is your mountain escape—full of charm, culture, and quiet.

Located halfway between Chattanooga and Nashville, Monteagle is a gateway to the outdoor adventure within South Cumberland State Park (3 minutes away). Monteagle is part of a unique cultural history that developed along the Cumberland Plateau in the late 19th century that is still being celebrated today.

The community is equipped with fire pits, walking trails, water falls, a playground, and a camp-like setting with all the amenities, including a fully-equipped kitchen, loft, private bath, cozy fireplace, and private master bedroom. 400 square feet of big living!

There's tons to do in the surrounding area such as hiking green trails, golfing, mountain biking, zip lining, etc.

We were only there for 12 hours but it was a very cute place! I want to go back when we can spend more time. We went to a concert at The Caverns and it was approximately 15 min drive.

So cute and perfect for our stay!

Stayed with 4 other couple that also stayed in Deer Lick retreat. Perfect fire pit right in the center of our tiny home plus one at each house. So nice to sit and visit with everyone. We’ll be back for sure! Clean and comfy!

Lovely little cabin for us to visit with our Daughter at Sewanee. The weather was not great - but we were comfortable in the location . The other cabins are spaced well enough apart that we were able to have privacy. Had all of the amenities we needed and the roads were easy to navigate.

Wonderful Time

We had a wonderful time! The property was just as described. It was so cozy! My husband and I spent the night and went and had dinner at High Point restaurant. I definitely plan on coming back and bringing our kids.

Great family getaway

This is our second stay the Leprechaun Lodge. We are a family of 5 (kids 7,7,9). We love this place. It is well stocked with all the things you need and always very clean. The 2 queen beds upstairs are perfect for the 3 kids to share. There is not a lot of head room but they think it’s so fun! The firepit out back is nice with the string lights and a private little area to hang out. We always go with a large group and the firepit in the middle of the cul de sac is perfect when the group rents the other cabins in the cul de sac. We will stay in the small place again next year!

Perfect Tiny Home(:

We stayed here for an epic concert at the Caverns. This tiny home is quite adorable and very clean! Everything we needed it had! We had steady rain both days so unfortunately we didn't get to chill outside but what an awesome setup outside too! Definitely would recommend!

Different than the first tiny home, a few suggestions

I stayed in 2 tiny homes during my month stay. Due to a safety issue in another home, management moved me to this home for the last 2 weeks. It is very nice, but I felt the other cabin had better amenities. This shower is a little small, almost have to turn sideways to shower. The main bed was not as comfortable and I was not going to sleep in what felt like being in an MRI machine in the loft area (great for kids, not for adults). I do appreciate you having one, but the washer is unbalanced and very noisy when using. The other cabin had areas you could store items, this one was harder to organize for a longer stay. The other home had a cabinet and shelf for personal items, just a suggestion for yours. It is a beautiful home, I just had the opportunity to compare some things between the two, that make stays more comfortable. The rest of this review is for management, who gets negative 10 stars.....Your lack of organization when reservation changes arise and not honoring their promises, are the reason I would never stay at The Retreat again. The owners of these tiny homes are going to be affected by your choices, do better.

Perfect weekend family trip

We are a family of 5 (3 kids 8/6/6) and stayed here for a Friendsgiving weekend. We all booked cabins in the same culdesac and it was SO much fun. The cabin was clean, fairly well stocked with kitchen things, and very comfortable. The upstairs loft was perfect for my 3 kiddos with 2 queen/full beds and then another bedroom downstairs for the adults. The fire pit in the middle was the perfect spot for our whole group to hang out and do smores. The only thing we missed was a table inside to eat at (there was a great patio with lots of seats and a table and chairs but it was SO cold that weekend) but that’s just something to plan for next time as there really isn’t a good place inside for a table. I’d 100% stay here again!

Beautiful place to get away

This little lodge was perfect. The comforts of home, it was clean (awesome electric fireplace), the stillness and quiet each AM. We rested so well and could also be out in nature with trails nearby. It was the perfect getaway for us for a long weekend ❤️ we will be back.

Little Gem

Visiting for Parents Weekend at Sewanee, This tiny house at The Retreat was perfect. 8 minutes from the campus, easy in and out, with all of the necessary amenities to make the brief stay comfortable. Highly recommend.

Perfect location

We absolutely loved our stay at this home and in the resort. The location is PERFECT if you are going to the Caverns for a concert. We enjoyed hiking the property and can’t wait to get back!

There were a couple of minor inconveniences. Propane tanks for grill and fire pit needed refills. And the battery powered candles didn't work.
