Blue Jay has the old lake cabin vibe but with a modern shower. The front porch is a perfect place for morning coffee and a happy hour drink. The beds are comfortable and all necessities are included. Had a wonderful stay and would stay again.

The cottage had an issue upon checking in. Cindy went to great lengths to make it right and make our stay easy and enjoyable. We appreciated her hospitality and look forward to visiting her again!! The lake was beautiful and the entire area is like a storybook. We would highly recommend Cindy and her beautiful property.

Cindy is the best!!! We had a great time. great towels, fully stocked, even down to the q tips. She is so thoughtful, we have never experienced a property owner like Cindy. So happy we stayed and met her.

This historic cottage was charming, spacious and clean. It was very well stocked for enjoying the lake and local area, and the kitchen was very usable. The location is great for the area and the lake is amazing. Renting the kayaks was fun, though we didn't really use them enough to probably justify the cost for the week. But they're great to have, to enjoy the dock and the lake. Cindy was always responsive before hand and during the stay, answering questions very promptly and kindly.

We were a group of 4 adults, ages 19-72 and we all loved the property! It was cozy, clean and perfect for a week up north. The bedding and towels (and beach towels) were wonderful, and we appreciated all the nice touches like having plenty of coffee, paper products, soaps, etc. We prepared most of our meals in the adorable kitchen, and it had everything we needed. The proximity to Glen Arbor and all the beauty of Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Leelanau peninsula made this an ideal locationl Cindy is a wonderful host and we thoroughly loved our stay. Thank you!

Amazing to stay at a historic cottage with such a rich history and so much charm. Perfect location, private dock to enjoy, close to the marina, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor and other destinations within a close drive. Great host as well!

This is a pet friendly cottage on M22 with access to Big Glen. The host was very accommodating & the property was probably the cleanest we have experienced in years of renting in the area. Two bathrooms & three bedrooms. Lots of thoughtful little touches were provided— cinnamon rolls, beach towels, laundry products, etc. This is a 100 year old cottage so no AC. Fans were situated in every room, which helped. There is a lovely private beach across M22. Too bad Glen Arbor has not put in a trail along Big Glen like there is along Little Glen. You have to be very cautious when walking or biking. Wonderful hosts.

From the rustic, cozy cabin complete with everything you need for a comfortable stay, to the dreamy sunrise reflections off the lake, to Kris's attentive and kind hospitality, made the Blue Jay an exceptional experience.

The rustic cabin had a great vibe that screamed summer camp! The cottage was very clean. The owner assisted us throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.

25th Anniversary trip with the Family

It was nice! Had just about everything we needed and more. Ate meals there most days & loved the dining space. This location is one of our favorite spots in Michigan. Enjoyed the lake with a boat & jet skis. Went to many nearby beaches, had nightly fires either at the cottage or at the beach. Even had the northern lights show up in some of my night pictures on the dock. We had plenty of space and Cindy was very attentive to any messages/questions.

Historic Delight

Thank you so much for providing an escape from our daily responsibilities to spend a nostalgic week of smells, sights and memories of our summers spent on beautiful Big Glen. Robin was attentive and quick to address our needs, and the cottage was equipped with what we needed. Glen Lake Getaway

My great aunt has been coming up to Glen Lake for 70 years (but not for 5 years), joined my father, me and my wife to escape the heat. The cottage reminded my aunt of all the quaintness of cottages around the lake. We enjoyed the very comfortable 3 bedrooms and spent most of the time on the front porch admiring the lake view. We were 5 minutes from Glen Arbor and 15 minutes from the many trails and views from the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. Kris was a great host communicating with us regularly as needed and anticipating our needs

Family Cottage

Wonderful! This cottage was in my family from 1940s until 1980s. So wonderful to experience this place with my family! We came from WA state to experience my dads memories and make our own. Robin was wonderful as our host!! This is part of her family memories for decades and means a lot to her and it shows. A great time sharing and reminiscing. Awesome that some cottages are left as they were from 100yrs ago!! Robin and her brother are working hard to make this a place to enjoy again and again.

Cindy has been the most gracious host. We really enjoyed our stay here in this very loved and charming cottage. Beds were very comfortable too. Beautiful, quaint and clean.

Loved this cabin. Kitchen drawers were labeled and very well stocked. Plenty of towels and great location. Even the toilet paper was better than most hotels! Will definitely come back.
