Enjoyable Stay!

The property was very much the way it was described. It is a little dated, but a great value for the location. Bed and pull-out couch were very comfortable and plenty of bedding supplies. Overall, it was great place to stay!

Functional condo. The sofa bed was very comfortable. There were a lot of stairs to manage in ski boots. Overall we had a great stay.

The place was neat and clean, easy shuttle service to get around town. My only complaint was the 1992 TV, please upgrade.

Overall nice place

Very nice condo a bit smaller than expected based on the pictures. Good location albeit not truly ski in / ski out as it was a short walk to the slope. Couldn’t getbthevfureplacevtovwork which was z as big disappointing but overall nc a nice place in a good location and would recommend and rent again.

Long weekend ski trip

First time to Steamboat, just needed a clean, convenient, comfortable place to stay with easy access to the slopes. This unit was perfect for our needs. Easy walk for ski access via the gondola and ski'd back to the edge of the complex. Shuttle service very convenient to get to/from town and dinner. Unit was stocked with all we needed. Dauther and son in law slept on the sofa pull out for a night and said it was surprising comfortable for a pull out, no springs or metal rods in their backs. Happy with our stay, and enjoyed our time in Steamboat.

Great location with a few logistical kinks.

Good deal for the cost and location. The condo was even nicer and roomier than the pictures and description. To check in, we had to go to a couple places to get our keys during the after hours check in process because they weren't where the check in information said they'd be. Also, the hot tub requires reservations - understandable during the pandemic and I'm glad they still keep it open - but they double booked our time and wouldn't honor our reservation, even through we signed up first. The staff was very nice and you can't beat the location.

Nice stay overall!!

Let me start by saying that we'd use this property again. It was a great deal (price-wise) for Steamboat, given the location and accommodation quality. The only issue we had was that the extra comforter (provided for the pull-out sofa bed) had dried blood stains. To be fair, we didn't contact the accommodation provider about it, so I can't comment on their action to remedy the issue, but I would have hoped the cleaning crew would have noticed the issue and gotten rid of the comforter.

Great location and great management

This place is a little old school, but you can't beat the location. It was our first ski in, ski out location and it was awesome. There are regular shuttles to the base and beyond, and you can also walk there in less than 10 minutes. The check in area has some great outdoor hot tubs too. But what really made our stay great was the management of Retreatia. Some of the pots and pans were in rough shape and the toaster was broken. Later that day, Pistol Pete and Matt showed up with new pots, pans, toaster, and spatulas—along with a few treats for our trouble. The only weak part of the place was now fixed. They really went above and beyond to fix our problem easily and quickly.

The good and bad

The unit was clean and as it appears in the sales brochure. However the tub and the sink would not drain. After trying to plunge it and 3 people coming in to try we finally got a mechanic to snake it out. Leaving one very big mess. My partner was so upset having spent the entire day dealing with this that Retreatia moved us to another unit. Overall the locals were great. Very much appreciated.

The property is in a great location. It's close to the base of the mountain and you can ski right up to the building from the slopes. The condo is nicely appointed with plenty of seating and storage for all your ski garb. The bathroom is a little small, but that's typical for the age of the building. There are a lot of stairs to get in and out of the building which can be a little cumbersome with skis but there are private ski lockers as you come into the building. A few things I would change are the bed size from queen to king, raising the shower head from 6' to 7', and requesting housekeeping clean the glass inside the gas fireplace when it gets dirty. I would also talk to the shuttle service and see if they can tone down the beep when they're backing up. For the price we paid, this was an excellent property. There are a lot of fees added when booking the way we did. Hopefully we can find a way to book with the owners directly should we decide to come back and stay there.

Good location but that's about it

The good: clean and good location. The not so good: you overlook a parking lot and other condos. There is no slope-side view AS STATED in the details, unless you go onto the balcony. Winter time visit? Don't plan on seeing the slopes or watching the Gondola as they advertised. The place is very small. there is no room in the bedroom to put any luggage so we had to clear out the living room and put our two suitcases on the coffee table for the 5 days we were there. TV is small and a channel guide is needed. Kitchen had enough utensils and cookware but avg supplies were not there...suggestion would be some PAM, a few spices. Some lack of communication and confusion between the two management companies... Retreatia who we rented from and Vacasa who manages the entire property.

Great Steamboat ski in condo!!

Loved our slopeside location, cozy condo & great deck for basking in late afternoon sunshine. Easy ski in location but we opted to grab the free shuttle to the base area in the mornings. (Looper runs about ev 15 min all day) Loved the free shuttle Svc that takes you anywhere in town. Great skiing & great town! Great staff!

Ski inn review

Overall it was a great experience. Although it was okay, I do think the cleanliness could have been better when we first arrived. There were crumbs on counter, old sugar left out not covered or packaged, and I ended up disinfecting the entire place myself to make sure my brother and I felt safe from Covid-19. Everything else was great and the front desk is very nice. However, there needs to be better instructions regarding the vacasa shuttle service. For example, I requested a ride to a restaurant to pick up a take out order. Got a ride within 5 minutes and when I got on the bus I asked bus driver if he had time to take us back. He said he did and then when I got my food order and we were on the way back to place dispatch said over radio that we should not have done that, that was not part of the agreement to take us back to place and not to do it again over the loud speaker on the bus for myself and my brother to hear. I did not know we needed to make full agreements for the shuttle service, I thought the bus driver could take anywhere if he has time and no one else. There needs to be more information and instructions should be given regarding the shuttle service, unless I missed the information. It says free shuttle included but no information about the limitations on where you go, for instance I was told Vacasa will only go to Billo and not Golden leaf or other dispensaries. Wish I knew these types of things before coming. However, I really enjoyed my stay and everything else was great!
