Just steps to Sea Colony's half mile of private beach and oceanfront pools, this one-level resort retreat features a living and dining area, well-equipped kitchen, full hallway bathroom and bedroom (with a private half bathroom of its own). Accessible without stairs. Central air conditioning, washer, dryer and more. 2 TVs, Blu-ray, Wifi. Notes: Features tile flooring throughout, with an area rug in the bedroom.

This property has a great location and nice ocian view. However, the kitchen was poorly stocked. The bathrooms are extremly outdated. The bed was sagging and creaking.The property description should have a better description of parking and pool fees. These were over 100 for two people.

Poor condition. Bad bulbs. Urine stained mattress! Lamp shades askew. Bathroom caulking awful. Tv not working on arrival. Views and location very good.

Chesapeake house through Vacasa

The condo was in a great location but felt very outdated and wasn’t as clean as we hoped — the toilet didn’t work properly, and the floors needed attention. We also had trouble getting in because we were given the wrong entry code and couldn’t reach anyone at Vacasa, which left us waiting outside with our 4‑month‑old for almost an hour. Thankfully, the Sea Colony staff were wonderful and helped us out. For the price, we expected better communication and upkeep.

Nanas retreat

Liked the location so much. Bed was comfortable!!! Table expanded so we could have the four grandchildren one nite for dinner! Weather was perfect and I was in the pool on the the deck and walking on the community deck .. plus the beach! We loved that we could go to visit the “kids” at their house and have our space!

we had an awesome experience- great location!

When we arrived unti was still dirty- especially the floors and bathroom sinks however, within 10 minutes of me calling, someone new arrived to clean the unit and spent over an hour thoroughly cleaning it.

Kind of a no luxury relaxing place. No loud noise, lovely beach. Friendly. Easy walk to town. Simple appliances. Sand between your toes. Gotta have your I'd badge with you though.

500 steps to the ocean

I like to thank the owner for letting us stay in their home. The following statements had no negative effect on our trip but feel it should be brought up. The dryer had electrical tape for a knob, the instructions for the internet left out the most important part (make sure modem thats in another room is plugged in). The size of television in the bedroom was so small i wouldn't use it for my computer. The main television was maybe 32". Coffee maker wasn't a keurig. (New that going into thou) the bedroom floor looked tiled but was mostly just a giant board hidden by a rug. Like i said nothing that effected our trip negatively and i thank the owner for letting us stay. Almost forgot the foot rest on patio furniture falls off if you put your foot on it. (I only tried 1 and it goes back in easily enough

Disappointing

My family has been coming to Sea Colony for over 40 years, and we've stayed in a variety of units over that time. Many of the units have seen better days, but at our price point, this is to be expected. This is our third year staying in this unit and it just isn't worth the price. We kept reporting issues and hoping for improvements, but very little has been done. The front screen door bottom hinge is missing. The doorstop doesn't work (it slides) and the magnet behind the door was installed improperly and doesn't hold the door. Multiple panels are missing from the blinds in the living room. The vacuum couldn't even handle a few crumbs, and the wooden towel rack fell apart when we tried to hang large towels on it and had to be wedged against a wall to keep from falling over. The dryer is missing its main control knob and the lint screen has a tendency to fall in while it's operating. The kitchen has very little cookware, dull knives, and no blender. The towels and sheets were so rough we used our own instead. The only carpet was worn down area rugs in the living room and bedroom--the latter of which covers bare plywood flooring. The mattress felt like a cardboard hammock, and both TVs were too small. The half bath has a fan that rattles and turns on and off intermittently. The full bath (with the shower) does not have a fan and fogs up after only a few minutes. The hot water heater has barely enough for a 15 minute shower unless you only turn the shower on halfway. When running the old dryer, the humidity in the unit can easily surpass 75%. I doubt this place would pass an electrical inspection. There are no GFCI outlets (which cut power to prevent electrical accidents) and the only way to turn on the ceiling fan in the living room is to turn on the light in the kitchen and the kitchen light dimmer and fan speed are controlled by the same switch. So if you want the fan on but not the kitchen light (or vice versa), well, too bad. The only improvement this year is the switch to keyless entry. All the other issues have not been addressed. It is one of the cheaper units, but it isn't that cheap, and does not hold up to others at this price point. We will be staying elsewhere next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our condo; it provided us with adequate space and a great view!! The deck furniture was great to utilize to view the ocean. Overall the condo was clean, however in the main bathroom there was mold on the shower liner and no exhaust fan usage, so we kept both doors open to allow air flow. Enjoyed our stay and will be visiting again soon!! Thank you

Great view and location

We never tired of looking out at the ocean, which was nice to have as the weather was less than optimal during our stay. Place is comfortable, and bathrooms and kitchen are serviceable, but tiny and outdated. The place was clean but not spotless. Easy check-in and out.

Oceanfront condo perfect for two

We loved this condo, especially the view from the balcony and the 1 1/2 baths. For a couple, it's just the perfect size, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We were particularly impressed with the Sea Colony approach to pandemic-related precautions and felt very safe in their environment.

The place was really good!

We really liked the property. Especially during covid, it was great to be able to get away to a clean, safe place. My kids loved the pools, the beach, etc. The unit was clean, the view from the balcony was great, and we had an amazing week. Some things that could have made the stay better: there isn’t a lobby/front desk. So when it’s 7pm and you realize the unit doesn’t have a can opener, there is no way to get one. When you get locked out, it’s a big hassle to get let back in to the unit. There isn’t an easy way to access the property manager (no phone number, only email through resort quest) so there were some frustrations. My kids also like having some sort of kids activity room. During covid it wouldn’t have been open but in other years it would have been a nice amenity. No restaurant on site or even mini market. We’ve stayed at other time share properties that had some of these extra amenities. Overall it was still a really great week.

Disappointed with the cleanliness

We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the condo. There was black mold on the refrigerator and freezer doors where our food goes. In addition there was a lot of dust under the couch and bed furniture and on the artificial plants. There was also hair on the night stand. The shower has orange caulking on the floor and black caulking around the soap dish in the shower. When we checked in, we verified the condo had been “cleaned” however clearly not to the standard we would expect.

First visit to Bethany Beach

My adult daughter and I decided to take a second vacation this summer and a friend recommended Bethany Beach. We stayed at Sea Colony Resort which was very impressive. We felt super safe and everything was really close. We walked to many of the local restaurants and frequented the Boardwalk. Great trip!
