This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom penthouse condo was completed in early 2008 and is located in the center of downtown Playa Del Carmen on the corner of Calle 10 and Avenue 15, only 2 blocks from the famous 5th Avenue and 3 blocks from the beautiful white sand beaches of the Caribbean Sea. This condo complex is small and cozy with only 10 condos.

The master bedroom offers a queen sized bed and private bathroom with ample closet space. The second bedroom offers either a king sized bed or 2 single beds, and a small balcony overlooking the town square.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and microwave oven as well as all the utensils, a coffee maker, toaster, and blender. The dining area has a table and 6 chairs. The comfortable living room has a sofa, loveseat, and chair as well as a television with DVD player and small selection of DVD's as well as access to a private balcony that also overlooks the town square.

With its own private 4 person jacuzzi and view of the ocean and island of Cozumel, the large rooftop solarium is one of the highlights of this condo. There is also a shared swimming pool.

Being centrally located in downtown Playa, there are many fine restaurants and shops within a short walking distance. We have a printed restaurant-dining guide in the condo for your use. Wal-Mart is only 2 blocks away and has a great selection of groceries and other item you may need.

Although driving is not necessary, there is an underground parking space available for your use if you choose to bring or rent a car. Taxis are readily available and very reasonably priced. There is secure access to the condo complex and a security guard on duty during the evening and nighttime hours.

Our local property managers are extremely helpful with any needs you may have and speak excellent English as well as many other languages. Maid service is provided once midweek during weekly stays. Bottled water is delivered as needed. There is a small safe located in the closet of the master bedroom for your use. There is a small convenience store located on the main floor of the building.

This condo is owned by Rick and Diane Odegard of Grand Forks, ND. Rick is a veterinarian and owner of Kindness Animal Hospital in Grand Forks and Diane is a Florist. Rick enjoys hunting, fishing, and flying. Diane's hobbies include quilting and fishing. We both enjoy scuba diving and got our certification in Playa del Carmen. This is a picture of Diane and I with our daughter Kayla and her best friend Carrie at the Dirty Martini in Playa.

Nice condo and location, but noisy from traffic and municipal square

Rick and his local property managers were all responsive and very helpful. The condo was clean and nicely furnished. The overall building was nice and clean too. And the location was convenient. However, the noise from the traffic on 15th Avenue (a very busy street) was very noticeable all night - mainly in the 1st bedroom. Luckily we had brought ear plugs, which made it (mostly) possible to sleep. And the 2nd bedroom was quiet for our little girls, luckily. There were also a lot of music and activities in the town square across the street, which also made sleeping tough. We are not sure if that was a special situation or not. All-in-all it was a pleasant stay. But the traffic noise will have us considering another location, if we come back to Playa.

Great Property, Awesome Location

Great two weeks, property was well equiped and very comfortable, private and secure. It had a huge comfortable living area with magnificent orange leather furniture .The only thing that was in need of a bump up was the upstairs, area, it lacked a BBQ and a good sized table and furnishings. Our front deck looked onto the public park which had great entertainment. It was close to everything Playa Del Carmen has to offer, great shops, restaurants!! And of course the beach!!! Home away Vacations, thanks for making our stay so enjoyable and for looking after our every need.

Perfect location in Playa del Carmen

Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Location is perfect, a short walk to 5th avenue and also close to the beaches. You are surrounded by restaurants, shopping, two blocks from Walmart to stock up on groceries. Nearby there are banks and currency exchanges. Felt safe at all times. Condo is spacious and comfortable. They have everything you need, including wifi. If there is a problem Noemi has it fixed. Great communication. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great experience

Just as advertised. We stayed for 1 week. The place was nice and close to walking distance to almost anything you needed (i.e. stores, food, rental, taxi). Would definitely stay there again.

Great Condo, Great Location

We spent the last two weeks in January in Playa. The condo was nice in that it had two full baths. Full kitchen was great. Everything is provided as advertised. My wife and I go to Playa every year for two weeks and I will no longer be looking at hotels. Elevator was nice since the unit is on the third floor. Rooftop was great. Price was right! Will be back!!

Location, locatoon, location

My husband, sister and I just returned from a great vacation at Rinconada Del Mar. The condo is ideally located as it is walking distance to everything you need for a carefree stay. In addition, it is very comfortable and clean and we found the owner, property manager and even the cleaners very accommodating and helpful. It was a real pleasure to take breakfast up to the huge rooftop patio every morning. With the wonderful breeze and the warmth of the sun it was the perfect way to start the day. Grocery shopping is a 2 min walk as are a number of good restaurants and cafes. There is a great beach club 5 min down at the bottom of the street where the food and drinks are also good. We miss it all already :-)
