This beach cottage was very thoughtfully decorated, well appointed, very clean & had a beautiful ocean view with plenty of breezes so we didn’t have to use the AC. The beach directly in front of our cottage was not a swimming beach, but one of the best swimming beaches on the island was a short walk away. Our host was amazing. She was very generous with letting us check in early & depart late. A fruit plate, water, juice & starter items were provided upon arrival. Prior to check out she gave us gifts. She was just the sweetest. We highly recommend this property.

Just a cozy and thoughtful beautiful home right on the beach! We loved all the little touches, I can tell that the owners truly care and want their guests to feel at home. Fully equipped kitchen with cooking oils and seasoning, fresh fruit on arrival. The house is very close to one of the best beaches on the island, but hard to walk over bc of all the rocks and shells. The road is a bit rocky and can be driven through slowly to the Main Street, but plan for about 10 mins. I still highly recommend this place, truly a magical oasis and one of the highlights of our trip.

Perfect, private beachfront property with most charming decor. Rest and relax and sleep to crashing waves just outside. Close to great beach, snorkeling, food and airport. Hinarii and Phillip were excellent hosts. 10/10 stay.

Loved staying at this home. Great location, very safe and clean. Right on the beach, plenty of room inside and outside to chill. Restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!

This property is a true gem. It was so peaceful and to be honest we enjoyed staying here even more than the overwater bungalow that we stayed in. The owner is so sweet and friendly. It feels very private. It was very clean. The surf breaks right outside the back door so if the conditions are right, you'll get to see surfers riding the waves from the back porch. Everything about this place was wonderful. If we ever go back to Moorea we will 100% book our entire stay here.

If this is available, don't over think it and just go ahead and book it! All of the reviews that you can find about this place are spot on. I would say that while the pictures look good and are accurate. IMHO, the place looks even nicer than the pictures. The only negative thing I can say is that I didn't book this long enough. We really didn't want to leave. The property was clean and well maintained. Our host was very kind and accommodating.A bit more about the property. You are in walking distance to Temae Beach. Nothing is terribly far on the island with a short drive (5-15min). Note that the road to the beach & house is not paved and has a lot of potholes to navigate around. You may question if you are going the right way, but don't worry, you are. We were fine in our tiny econo car. As the listing shows it is by the airport, don't worry, you will not hear a thing. There are very few flights and the ones that do come, you don't hear them.We already decided that if we make it back to the beautiful island, that will stay here again, but for a much longer stay. It is quiet and serene with wonderful hosts.

Had a great stay at the beach bungalow near Tenae beach in Moorea. The bungalow was indeed right on the beach with the sight and sounds of crashing waves as advertised. It was lovingly and creatively decorated and appointed with the conveniences you would expect to have. The owner, Hinarii was very polite and nearby, but the bungalow was completely private. Yes the road to the to the property was a bit challenging but our small Hyundai rental handled it fine. It is worth noting the main roads in Moorea are good but most adjoining roads are mostly dirt and minimally maintained. Moorea is a beautiful island is well worth the long flight. The lagoons and mountains are truly spectacular and people of French Polynesia are very patient and welcoming.

Beautiful and Private

We had only a short 3 night/4 day stay, but it was more than we imagined it could be. The bungalow was beautifully decorated and had all the conveniences we needed inside. Outside, the very private sandy yard is steps away from the crashing waves of the ocean, just through a gate. Beach shoes are necessary for walking in both directions, as the shore is rocky here. A short walk in one direction took us to some sandy bottom "baths" and a longer walk in the other direction took us to the white sand beach of the Sofitel resort. Along the way we discovered a public beach that locals access through the soccer fields that we passed on the drive to our place. That drive was the only reason I rated the location and neighborhood a 4 instead of 5. Once off the main road, the access road was extremely bumpy and potholed, but as long as went very slowly, we were fine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone with a car who wanted to stay away from the crowds while remaining close to restaurants and sightseeing activities.

Just as advertised! We loved it!

We loved this property and spent 10 days here! It was everything the description said it was and more! The surf is right at your door and you are right around the corner from Temae beach, which is one of the best in the area. We saw whales almost daily and the host, Hinarii could not have been more gracious or attentive. We loved the privacy and will rent again if we returm to Moorea.

Delightful seaside bungalow

With its spectacular location, artistic interior design, and wonderful hostess Hinarii, this is a truly special and unique place to stay. The property description and photos are 100% accurate. Even so, we found the actual experience of staying here far exceeded our expectations. The bungalow has everything you need with a large comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen and washing machine. The location makes an ideal base to explore Moorea by car, and one of the best swimming and snorkeling beaches on the island is within walking distance. Hinarii is a warm and gracious hostess and we appreciated her regular, in-person check-ins with us. We highly recommend this vacation property.

Magnifique maison dans un magnifique emplacement

Voyage à Moorea. Ce bungalow sur la plage était un lieu vraiment privilégié : le bungalow est superbe et agencé avec beaucoup de goût. Il est proche de l'une des toutes plus belles plages de Moorea, si ce n'est la plus belle !!!

Great stay, great location, great property!

What a wonderful location and property. The listing and images are 100% accurate. The beach is literally a few feet away from the porch from where you can enjoy your morning coffee and look at the sunrise. The property has a very well equipped kitchen, bathroom and washing machine is a real bonus. Host, Hinarii, provided timely responses to any questions asked and made sure we were comfortable upon check-in. Thanks Hinarii! We couldn't recommend this property more.

Slice of Paradise

Right on the beach. Beautiful sunrise every morning. Clean and comfortable. Don't worry about noise from the airport nearby. The sound of the waves is all you hear. Hinarii was a wonderful host. The pictures of the property don't lie. It is a wonderful place. Getting there the first time was an adventure, but worth it. This was a vacation of a lifetime for us and Hinarii's Bungalow was just as we dreamed it would be.

Very nice property, great view, cute cottage, wonderful art work. A challenge to get to Rental car agency charged us a "filthy fee" for bringing car back so dirty from the road to the cottage lol!

Adorable accommodation steps from the ocean

My husband and I had the fortune to spend 3 nights at this property. We had no difficulty finding the property using Google Maps. We had a car so we picked up some groceries to keep food costs down. The kitchen had everything we needed. We packed a picnic lunch and ate at the beach one day. We also spent alot of time sitting on the back porch just staring at the beautiful waves crashing on the shore. This spot is wonderful!

Beautiful bungalow by the sea !

We had a very nice stay at Hinarii's bungalow she was a great hostess. Great location right on the beach equipped with everything you need. The road is a little bumpy getting in an the beach that runs in front of her property is made up mostly of coral pieces so not the easiest to walk on. To make up for that the public beach Temae is very close by, walk-able an has excellent snorkeling not far from the shore, about where the Sofitel property starts. We had a rental car an would advise others to get one, the grocery is close by an not far from ferry terminal. We would happily return an hope to someday !!

Super great house

What a great view. Ocean front at the front door. Just an amazing house. Owner was accessible and really helpful getting settled in. The whole property was maintained every day raked and manicured to perfection. Super great stay. Will definitely come back again.

Serenity on the Ocean

Delightfully rustic, and so relaxing. Well equipped. It was such a treat to hear the sound of ocean waves 24/7. It’s close enough to walk to the best snorkeling beach. We spent some long mornings having coffee and breakfast on the deck and loved having our own little sandy elevated backyard looking out over the ocean, just 20 ft away. Hinari was very responsive to any questions, and was a lovely host. We did have a rental car, which is needed to drive to restaurants, etc. which is why I rated the location a 4.

Delightful Bungalow By The Sea

Wonderful bungalow 10 sandy steps to the sea. If we lived full time on Moorea, we would live here. The bungalow feels like your own private retreat with everything you would have if it was your own! Beautiful sunrise over the ocean. Tinkling lights at night from Tahiti in the distance. Grilling off the lanai & dining under “the shack”. Stepping up to the “treehouse” platform. Everything you need is supplied for you to prepare any meal. Everything working as it should. A/C in bedroom, comfortable bed, Netflix & YouTube. Unobtrusive owner/contact but replied within minutes every time. We would 100% stay here again! Maururu And Mahalo Hinarii!
