Paradise Retreat is your own private resort on Hawai'i’s Big Island. Relax and enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub in our private, fully enclosed back yard. Lounge poolside in the sun-soaked chaise chairs or stay cool on the covered lanai. In the evenings, enjoy starry nights and listen for the waves crashing just a few blocks away.

The home is designed to collect the island trade-winds and naturally cool the interior, especially during the evening hours with the A/C off and the windows open. Our A/C systems efficiently cools the home during warm days, if necessary, using only solar during the day-light hours.

Our home has been recently updated, is fully furnished and stocked with linens, pool towels and all the kitchen items you'll need for cooking your favorite meals. Water from our well is filtered and UV-treated before entering the home.

Paradise Retreat has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The main bedroom suite has a king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom with slate tiled shower AND jetted bathtub. The two additional bedrooms share a bathroom with a bathtub and shower. One of these bedrooms has a queen size bed and the other has a king size bed. The fourth bedroom has a twin bed with an AC unit. The third bathroom is in the large laundry room near bedroom four. We provide a washer and dryer for laundry and a starter supply of laundry strips to avoid large plastic detergent jugs.

Located in Keaau just south of Hilo, Paradise Retreat is in a great place for day trips to Volcanoes National Park, Hilo, Pahoa and the heritage Hamakua Coast. Let us point you in the right direction for adventures, cultural sites and ocean activities. Our neighborhood is quiet at night except for the mesmerizing Coqui frogs. Please respect quiet hours 9pm to 8am by keeping noise levels low. If you can’t hear the Coquis, it’s too loud.
