Welcome to our condo at the Royal Islander, La Terrasse! As you walk through the door you are greeted with an outstanding view of Maho Bay and the Caribbean Sea! Enjoy the beautiful view of the bay and sea, watch the Princess Julianna Airport arrivals, and relax on the private balcony overlooking the wonderful gardens of La Terrasse and its pool. Enjoy the restaurants and night life that the Maho Village has to offer.

You will feel at home in this comfortable condo. Watch it evolve as it matures through its renovation. It is clean, bright and complete with a fully furnished kitchen and private balcony, overlooking the lush gardens leading to the swimming pool, children's pool, hot tub, airport observation area and famous Maho Bay Beach. Just this month (April 2021) we have upgraded both bedrooms with new King Size beds, night stands (with USB charge ports) and large dressers.

Protected from the hustle and bustle of Maho Village, La Terrasse offers you the best of all worlds. The village enjoys numerous restaurants, boutiques, and the island's largest casino offering baccarat, blackjack and more in the Caribbean's only duty free port. Dance to international DJs in the night clubs and enjoy relaxing Spa treatments. The village has a market, pharmacy, and clinic all within walking distance of La Terrasse.

Here at La Terrasse, garage parking is available for $8.00 per day. There is an on site laundry and gym. Our condo has free, private Internet.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, Dr. Phil is not all ways on the Island but when he is and we are not he takes care of things for us... And when we are and he isn't we take care of things for him. It works out well for each of us and for our guests. I am glad your experience was good. Peter and Daryl were great guests. We would be happy to host them again. Through Dr. Phil, they were very communicative. Thank you for choosing our condo for your trip.

Great Second Stay

This was our second time staying at the condo and it was once again a great experience. It is clean, nicely decorated, and in a great location. Hosts kept in touch and made sure the experience was perfect.

Hepei had a change in schedule after booking the property. We were able to, and did, accommodate the change. They chose our condo because their son was interested in watching the airplanes. I suspect they would tell you the views are spectacular yet the condo is very quiet. I would definitely be happy for this family to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Terrasse. Jim was fantastic through the entire process from the moment we made our reservation until our departure. He was always available for any questions we had and responded promptly. The property was exactly what we were looking for and is wonderful for watching planes land at the airport.Highly recommend it.

Sean and family were wonderful guests. We had had a little issue with birds when they arrived that required a little extra cleaning. Sean was very understanding and we had the issue resolved in short order. We would happily rent to them again and hope to see them again in the future.

Great stay in St. Maarten

Had a great stay at this condo. Excellent view of Maho Beach area and planes arriving into SXM. Plane noise was not an issue and most operations take place during the day. Owners kept in contact and were very helpful with any questions and wanted to ensure that we had the best stay possible. Definitely recommend!

Island Paradise

The owners of this property are extremely attentive and responsive and lovely to deal with. This beautiful condo is located in the best location! The condo has amazing views, nicely decorated with all of the amenities. We will be back!

Deanna and her party were a pleasure to deal with. They met and mixed well with several of our island friends and these friends spoke highly of them. Very comfortable, great location and wonderful hosts.

Very comfortable and great location. Jim and Jen‘s condo is conveniently located in Maho village. It is very accessible to multiple restaurants, a grocery store and the beach. It is fully stocked with everything that you would need. It was also updated recently and is very modern inside. The hosts provided plenty of useful information and were extremely responsive. I would recommend their place to anyone looking to spend a few days in Maho.

Gregg and party were Ideal guests. They stayed in touch with us. They had a problem opening the safe after locking their valuables in it and were patient while we made arrangements to have it opened for them. we would be most happy to host them again. Communication is the key to a good traveler/host relationship and they kept us up to date on everything.

Beautiful Condo & View!

Beautiful, well stocked condo - all the comforts of home! View of the airport with incoming & outgoing planes, but no noise when you close the patio doors! Lovely pool, although the bar was never open. 😢 Location was perfect - many restaurants/bars/grocery within walking distance. Would definitely stay again!!

Great place and super wonderful hosts

Jim and Jenny were great hosts and were responsive every step of the way. They offered us help many time during our stay. They place is a great location and you can walk to many places to eat and drink. We also walked to mullet beach from the unit. The unit was clean and had everything that we needed. It overlooks the pool, gardens and ocean. You can also watch planes land and depart which is really quite fascinating. Overall a great place to stay with great hosts!

James and his party were great guests. They shared photos with us and made us feel like we were on vacation with them. We had asked them to let us know what they liked and what they didn't like or needed improvement. James made a suggestion that we have already taken action on and we agreed whole heartedly with making that change. We are new at this rental game and we hope all our guests will be as enjoyable and helpful as James and party.

We stayed in this 2 bedroom suite and it defiantly met our expectations. The suite was on the second floor and had an amazing view of the pool and the in coming planes. The kitchen was nicely stocked and everything was very clean. I felt very comfortable sleeping on the linen and felt safe. The communication with the owners was top tier and he was extremely accommodating. My only suggestion is, because all the TV’s had streaming, to upgrade to cable as there was constant buffering so you couldn’t watch a show without buffering every 2-3 minutes. I would think this would only be a concern for those that watch TV while on vacation, for some this would be a non issue. Everything else was top tier and we plan on returning for sure!

Great location

The unit was super clean , however the toilets bowls were not in the best of shape , they are grungy at the bottoms . We were a party of four and still can’t figure out how the unit was listed as sleeping 6 ,, with only two king size beds and a sofa . I can see five but 6 ?? That’s a stretch . Beyond that all went well and we would definitely use Jim’s place again .

Annmarie, Thank you for your comments. Addressing your comment about the condo sleeping 6, the couch has a queen size pull out which can easily sleep two people. The toilets transform from a smooth finish to a course finish at the bottom of the bowl. It is very hard to get that area spic and span. At some point in the future we will probably have to replace them for that issue. Fortunately they function fine. We look forward to hosting you in the future.

Wonderful Stay

We had an incredible stay in Sint Marten thanks to our hosts and their incredible place! The unit is clean, spacious and updated - perfect for a family or group of four. The kitchen area had everything you need to cook meals of any size and the balcony was a perfect spot to have breakfast on overlooking the ocean and the watching the planes come in. Within a 5 minute walk is everything you need from fantastic restaurants to a grocery store and pharmacy. Be sure to check out The Deli along the strip for great breakfast and lunch options. Mullet Bay is a great beach that is only a 5 min drive away and the unit is a fabulous central location where you can get anywhere you would like to go in 30 min or less with a rental car or taxi. Thank you to our hosts for being so responsive and kind. We loved it and can’t wait to visit again!

Wonderful Vacation

Wow, wow, wow, we had the best time during our stay in St. Maarten. Jim and Jenny are exceptional hosts. The condo is stunning, beautifully decorated and furnished. Immaculately clean with all the comforts of home. We had the best night's sleep as the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Our hosts left us some nice snacks which we enjoyed as we were starving upon arrival. So thoughtful! Communication was a breeze, any time we had a question we reached out and received an immediate response. The location is ideal with shopping, grocery, dining and nightlife right outside your door. There are two beaches within walking distance and an amazing pool at the complex where you can watch the planes land from a prime spot. Jim and Jenny are wonderful people who made our paradise getaway one we will never forget. I would book this beautiful condo again in a heartbeat.

Magnificent Maho Condo

Two couples spent a week in this wonderful condo located right in the middle of Maho. The condo was spotless and had everything we could need. The view from the balcony is breathtaking looking out over the beautiful gardens and then the gorgeous blue green waters. Watching the planes land is an added bonus, and in case you were concerned you do not hear any plane noise inside the condo. The kitchen was fully furnished with all the appliances, eating and drinking utensils you could need along with a large table. The living room had a large TV and came with cable tv. There are two very nice bedrooms both with King size beds. The master bath was en-suite, and the other bath was two steps from the other bedroom. Both baths were spacious with walk-in showers. We loved the location with all the restaurants, bars and a large casino just steps from the condo building. Or in the other direction is Maho Beach with several great beach bars/restaurants along it, great for watching planes land and take off. The condo building has a beautiful pool and deck area beside the gardens and in the afternoon be sure to stop by the pool bar and tell Jesus hello. The owners were outstanding to deal with, providing a large packet of info for the condo and surrounding restaurants before we arrived. Any questions we had were answered promptly, and they even had a special surprise for the couple we travelled with who were celebrating their 40th anniversary! We will definitely return to “The Friendly Island” and when we do this condo will be our “home” again. Thank you Jim and Jenny for sharing your lovely condo with us!

Wow! What a wonderful review from Karen and her party. It was a real pleasure for us to host them. We were frequently in touch with Karen both before and during their stay. All along they assured us that they would take good care of our condo and they certainly did that. We were the next "guests" after their departure and found the condo in excellent shape with the kitchen items already stored in their proper places... and that was before the cleaning staff arrived. We always appreciate our guests' respect for our condo and this group certainly made us very comfortable. We also got comments from the bar tender (Jesus) and another friend indicating how nice Karen and her party were. We will be most happy to host them again when they choose to come back.

Perfect Location, 10 minute ride from the Airport!!

The condo is wonderful, well equipped, tastefully decorated, just as described and pictured. It has a great view of the ocean and planes coming in. It is within walking distance to several shops, a grocery store, restaurants and a casino. The owner, Jim was a very nice gentleman and easy to work with. He had answers to all my questions. I did not get the pleasure of speaking to his wife. My traveling companion was not able to make the trip at the last minute so I went solo. Never having traveled by myself I was a bit leery to go. Maho Bay is a very safe place to go and also St Martin itself. I had no problems. I do not like to rent a car on my vacations, the bus trip downtown was only $2.00 and $2.00 back which is about a 20 minute ride depending on how many stops the bus makes. Anyways I love St. Martin and this condo was perfect!!

Steve and his party were ideal guests. We had a bit of an air conditioning problem while they were there but they were very pleasant while we addressed the issue. They kept in touch with us and provided follow-up information on the air conditioner issue. They were happy with the unit anyway and said air conditioning was satisfactory but just wouldn't cool down to our recommended temperature. The unit was repaired immediately after their visit . I would be most happy to host Steve and his party again!

Amazing Rental

Cathy and guests respected our property very well. We kept in touch both via VRBO and text messaging. They showed interest in our decorations and wanted to know who the artist was. It was a pleasure to share that information with them. They were excellent, respectful guests and we would welcome them back anytime.

Jim and I have traveled to St. Maarten for the last 7 years and fallen in love the with people and island. We love hanging out on Maho beach and in the La Terrasse pool and hot tub. Our La Terrasse family is welcoming and wonderful.

We love being able to watch the air traffic come and go. Maho village offers everything we need. From the market below the La Terrasse pool to wonderful restaurants with a great and diverse choice, there is something for everyone. Shopping is available with a nice selection, a medical clinic and pharmacy too.
