Great get away

Our stay was amazing. Very clean and set up and decorations of room were so picture perfect. We will definitely come back and bring our family. Very cool that there are several domes so that you can come with a group of people.

Perfect Getaway

The perfect mix of complete privacy and being alone in the wilderness while feeling safe in a gated In property. The dome we spotlessly clean and beautifully set up. Make sure to set aside time to hike to the waterfall on the property. Will definitely be back again.

This was the most amazing relaxing getaway, so peaceful quiet in the woods surrounded by nature, and to have a place to stay with air condition was an amazing experience. I strongly recommend this place. The owner and host were very nice. The host came check up on us second day to see if we need anything. I would definitely come here again. Thank you

Geodome stay

We stayed at this dome during a super cold weekend and even though we could not enjoy the property because of the temperatures, we still had a great time. Our dome was exactly as described and so cute and clean. The outhouse was very clean and well maintained and did not feel like you were “outside”. Kristen was super helpful and attentive which was great! Would definitely return again and hopefully in warmer weather!

Beautiful and Super Cozy!

We just needed a place to lay our heads for a very quick and last minute trip to the area and this rental far surpassed our expectations. Katie was super welcoming and accommodating. She was kind enough to quickly show us the ins & outs of the Dome upon our arrival as she knew we were in a rush to get to a concert. The Dome was cute, modern, and SO cozy! Camping vibes (fire pit, outhouse, outdoor shower, hiking access) but with all the amenities (mini-fridge, heat/ac unit, electricity, comfortable bed, and outlets to charge our phones). If you’re looking for a peaceful and unique place to stay this is definitely the place! 10/10

What a Great Place!

We stayed at the Geodome on Awosting Club's property and what a great experience we had.. We were greeted by Scott the property manager - who by the way is amazing - with home baked cookies --- delicious! Scott showed us around and explained to us all that we needed to know about the property and all it's unique traits.. We entered the Geodome and it was warm, welcoming and inviting... It was beautifully furnished and so accommodating with all the amenities you could possibly think of yet still being amongst nature.. Even the outhouse was great.. Scott cooked us some wonderful meals and we really enjoyed the tour of the lodge along with all its great history.. We would do this again in a heart beat! Thank you for such a relaxing, tranquil weekend.

Just beautiful!

This place is absolutely gorgeous, a gem! A nature lover’s dream. Beginning with the beautiful continuous sound of the running stream and waterfalls as soon as you exit your vehicle my senses immediately awakened being a city person. Beautiful mountains, endless nature, numerous hiking trails on the property… I felt like I was in a private national park. In addition to the endless natural beauty, is an overall terrific staff who was extremely helpful, and responsive. And a host in Camila, who was just super… everything! Just above and beyond what I was expecting and I couldn’t be happier. Not to forget the biodome accommodations, it was clean and well appointed, has everything I needed to be comfortable, and take in all of the natural beauty of the surroundings. On my drive away from the property I started calling and recommending it and I will definitely be back!

Fantastic Family Getaway - Escape & Adventure

Our weekend family getaway to the Awosting Club Geodomes was fantastic! The Domes themselves are completely amazing! They are cozy, comfortable, tastefully decorated with bright fun colors, bigger than expected, and toasty warm. The bed is super comfortable with lovely, fluffy linens. The couch with extra pillows and hammock seat makes hang out time fun and easy for the kids, and the outdoor red Adirondack chairs on the Dome’s deck overlooking the river are perfect for a sunset beer! The mini red frig is super cute and functional too for snacks and drinks. Scott, the very attentive and friendly resident property manager, host, and chef made our stay relaxing and easy. He prepared us 3 delicious meals a day and answered our endless questions about the history of the property and surrounding structures. The roasted potatoes for breakfast and French style shepherd’s pie for our arrival dinner were my favorites. The kids loved the nachos, homemade mac & cheese, and fresh chocolate chip cookies! The property, trails, waterfalls, and hiking are awe inspiring. The property owner, Camila, gave us detailed advice on the best hiking options to fill our days – everything she suggested was a true adventure and maximized our time on this special property. We found our way up to the top of Gertrude’s Nose via a steep, hidden rock chimney which was absolutely incredible. The "scrambley" vertical hiking, which required some athletic (and daring) skills, resulted in even our teenage girls saying they loved the trails and hiking! The kids also quickly found their way down to the river and waterfall below the DOME to explore and adventure – despite it being winter and not exactly seasonal for river play. We can’t wait to come back again in the warmer months so we can swim in the river, play in the waterfall, and tackle some more rocky hikes! We have already recommended to friends and family; and are strategizing our return plans! Thank you - Whitney, Matt, and 2 teenage girls.

City clueless folks glamping

Kristen was at the gate to welcome us. Helped is with dumb questions like where do we brush cur teeth? And provided hot water and a shower with a lovely enthusiasm and friendliness. If you want boiling water on demand bring a kettle. We would come back anytime of year, as super snug and romantic. Love the place, location, geodome and host. We will be back!

Peaceful Retreat

We had a fantastic stay. The grounds were tranquil and beautiful. Our dome was comfy and welcoming. Scott was very attentive. The site is close to great trails. We will definitely be back!

Exceeded our expectations

Our weekend visit exceeded our expectations. We arrived and were greeted by Scott who was helpful the entire stay. He delivered coffee and muffins every morning and was on point. Highly recommend booking this spot. So relaxing and peaceful. Just wish we were staying longer. We will be back.

Wonder-full weekend at Awosting Club!

THE AWOSTING CLUB Spent two wonder-full nights in a dome at THE AWOSTING CLUB last weekend. Deep in the forest, with a babbling brook for company, and Scott as a terrific host, the dome was comfy, well designed and well decorated. Scott was always available, had fresh baked goodies and coffee waiting for us on our porch in the morning, and regaled us with some of his life stories along with the very interesting history of the Club. We went to the annual Moosic Fest at Kiernan’s Farm on Saturday and the air show at the Rhinebeck Aerodrome on Sunday for a full weekend. And our pup Cozi loved exploring the Awosting forest. We will be back!!

Gorgeous property

Such a fun night spent in the geodesic dome. Beautiful view, comfortable bed, and Scott’s lasagna was delicious. Recommended!

Lovely getaway

My stay was lovely; located in a peaceful forest, the beautiful geo dome was clean and cozy. Scott (the groundskeeper) was fantastic. Very helpful and friendly, and gave us home baked cookies on arrival! Absolutely great experience and I plan to return in the future.

Exceptional stay at the Geodome

We had an exceptional stay at the Geodome (#1). The dome is so unique & beautifully decorated. It's the perfect outdoorsy, yet cozy getaway - comfy bed, relaxing Adirondack & hammock chairs, and all the fresh air you need! The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed hiking through the property & adjacent reserve. Communication was excellent during the booking process & with the on-site manager. Scott was so accommodating & helpful throughout our entire stay! We had meals delivered to our dome - and they were delicious - highly recommend this add on.

I cannot recommend this stay enough. The property is beautiful and the dome is such a unique exprience. The bed is very comfortable and you really feel like you're at a luxary resort. Note -- you do have to walk outside and off of your platform to get to the bathroom. It is the nicest outhouse I've ever seen, but still an outhouse, so no running water. If you can work with that, then this is the stay for you. Scott went above and beyond to make us comfortable and make our trip special. My (now) fiance told him he was going to propose to me a few days before our trip and together they planned some incredible surprises. In addition to the delicious meals Scott cooked for us and delivered to our dome, he also made up a lovely backpack lunch for us to bring on a hike. He recommended an easy walk to a nearby lake because it was dog friendly and we brought our pup with us. We found the perfect picnic spot at Tillson Lake and it was there that my fiance proposed. We had a picnic blanket, wraps, and snacks packed by Scott to make the moment all the better. When we got back to the dome, Scott set up a lovely charcuterie board, three bouquets of flowers, and had the champagne my fiance had brought chilling on ice for us. Later, he came back to our dome to take some photos for us and then went out of his way to pick up dinner from a local resturant he recommended for us. It was a perfect weekend due in large part to Scott. We will be back!

Nice room but a strange experience (for such a high price, we expected more)

The geodome itself is very nice and cozy, and it overlooks a ravine where you can hear running water. Overall the place was clean except for some of the dishes and cups provided. The outhouse was actually very nice for an outhouse (clean and no smell) but there is no shower (which they advertised in the VRBO listing.) The main thing that made this experience strange was the host. When we arrived, without an explanation, he made us take a tour of this old house that belongs to the property owner. It was cluttered and messy and we did not understand why we were there. Before we arrived, we had arranged for him to make dinner for us. We regretted this decision when the host gave us a tour through a dirty kitchen in the old cabin and showed us the piece of salmon he planned to cook for us. I do not suggest getting the food. It was loaded with butter and just not very good. After the very strange check-in process, we were able to settle in and enjoy the natural surroundings. However, as mentioned above, there is no shower, so extended stays may be challenging if this isn't expected. Overall, it was a neat thing to do but in order for this to feel like a real getaway, they need to work on their professionalism and hospitality. The high cost per night made us expect a little more.
