About this property

Stunning garden flat in a gracious Georgian terraced town house

Stunning garden flat in a gracious Georgian terrace of town houses, within level walking distance of Bath city centre. Large living room with comfy sofas, open fire (gas coal effect) and dining area. Fully equipped kitchen. Romantic double bedroom with vaulted ceiling and concealed lighting, leads through open archway to dressing room with two single beds (suit children or close friends!) Characterful vaulted bathroom. Walled garden with patio. Free parking outside, easy access to local shops, pubs, theatre and pleasant walks.

About Bath: Bath is Britain’s only World Heritage City with Roman baths, glorious Georgian architecture and a myriad of fascinating shops, restaurants and bars.

'Must sees' include the Roman Baths, Assembly Rooms, Royal Crescent, Pump Room and Pulteney Bridge - the choice is yours.

Grosvenor Place offers the rarety of unrestricted parking outside, there is also private parking at the back, easy access to city centre and a small walled garden. Local pubs and shops within five minutes walk, and the city centre is about 15 minutes level walk away either along London Road or via the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath.

The exciting new Thermae Bath Spa opened in Spring, 2004, with the chance to bathe in thermal mineral waters and enjoy a range of therapeutic treatments in the first new spa to be built in the UK for at least 200 years!

The city itself is a shoppers' paradise, with many interesting and unusual independent shops. There's also a vast array of restaurants and pubs to suit just about every taste and pocket.

Within Reach: Further afield the choices for days out range from Bristol, with its exciting new hands-on interactive science centre and SS Great Britain, to the Cotswolds. The ancient sites of Stonehenge and Avebury are also close by, while Wells and Glastonbury continue the historic theme.

The National Trust village of Lacock is also a short drive away - see if you can spot familiar scenes from the film version of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' and the Harry Potter series, while Castle Combe is just one of the many delightful country villages on the doorstep.

The area around Bath offers wonderful opportunities for walking - the Cotswolds Way starts and finishes at the abbey doors, and the surrounding hills and woods are criss-crossed with public footpaths, many offering spectacular views of the city below.

For the less energetic, Bath makes an excellent centre from which to tour the Cotswolds, as well as the beautiful countryside of Somerset, Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire.

What's On?: Bath hosts a whole string of festivals throughout the year. The International Music Festival runs from mid-May to early June, there's a wine festival in June, a real-ale fandago in October, and a Film Festival and Mozart Festival both in November. The Christmas lights run through the whole of December, and there's always a performance of Handel's Messiah in Bath Abbey on the first weekend in December. Lovely experience!
Our American family of 3 loved our 2 night stay. We used the back parking spot for our rental car. We enjoyed a lovely summer evening out in the back garden. The walk to Bath city center wasn’t too much and gave us a chance to view the river and snap some unbelievable photos of the city. The location was just perfect for us! The apartment was so spacious. We had plenty of room for our luggage and brought it in from the back where we parked. We had full control of the thermostat to keep the temp to our preference. We did not cook but did enjoy the provided tea and reheated some food we brought. We did use the provided washing machine which was a great option for us to do some laundry mid trip. The curtains kept out the light for a really nice dark apartment at night. The view from the windows was gorgeous! My 8 yo daughter loved the nook she had off the main bedroom. Just a curtain to separate but she felt it was a cozy, private place to sleep. The bathroom shower is built into a curved wall making it a tight squeeze for my 6 ft tall husband. There is a hand held shower head so although standing straight up was very close to touching the ceiling, the hand held made showering easier. The place was so clean, looked just like the photos and furniture all in working order. The host was so nice! And had prompt communication about everything. She offers a lovely place like no other to experience English living and enjoy Bath.

Wonderfully Comfortable, Very Well Appointed Flat
My sister and I walked the Cotswold Way and ended in Bath with 5 days in this fabulous flat. My husband joined us there. It had everything we needed, laundry, dishwasher and great little private garden. We ate in every night, kitchen was fully equipped. Short 1 1/2 mile walk to historic Bath center. Also lovely trails along the River Avon just behind the flat. Wish we’d had time to explore them a little more. Sue, our host, was so accommodating. I can’t say enough good things about this location!

Charming, convenient
Sue was the perfect host! She met us at the apartment, showed us where everything was., and told us how to catch the bus. That was so helpful. The apartment itself was well-equipped, very clean, and very conveniently located. We really enjoyed staying there!

Great Location To Explore Bath
Had a wonderful stay! Such a lovely spot to headquarter while exploring Bath. We had everything that was needed for our stay and it felt like home. Very quiet. Easy parking at the back. You can walk into town by the canal from just out the back door. We would definitely stay again!

Cute Home
We enjoyed our stay here. It was about a 20-30 min walk into Bath, but there's a path that takes you there and it's beautiful walk. The home was perfect for our family. There were games and toys for our small children. It was spacious and comfortable.

Great location and awesome hosr
Secure parking and distance to Bath. Comfortable rental. Only issue was shower was too short with the curved wall; my husband had to kneel in tub to wash his hair. Otherwise, great space.

Great place to explore Bath
It was exactly as advertised. Very clean, and well equipped. It easy walk into the city center to all of the Bath sites. We often took a $6-10 cab ride back to the apartment after days of sightseeing. It was a great spot for easy day trips like Stonehenge.

Lovely Apartment with Great Host
Well-appointed and decorated for Christmas, this place had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable, and was a pleasant 30 min walk along the canal to city center. Sue really helped us out with an early check in to leave our bags so we could explore the city. Convenient parking behind flat with entry through lovely garden space. Highly recommend!

A real gem
The garden apartment was immaculate and looked brand new. As it was warm in Bath, we enjoyed the garden and ate outside. The apartment is huge. A small grocery store, deli and pub are nearby. We found the flat so enjoyable that we didn’t even go into Bath the second day. I highly recommend this flat and the owner.

Excellent place to stay
Beautifully renovated and huge for the price you pay. Sue was amazing at showing us our suite and how to get to Bath along with all the shops, food and pubs in the area. Meeting in person with Sue was great as she makes the transaction into the rental smooth. The only thing that was of mild concern was the fact that it is a 25 minute walk to and from Bath. But there is a bus stop near the suite, which takes you directly into the town centre. Overall, a great place to stay and Sue was phenomenal in getting guests settled in.
