Cottage is very clean. Beautiful and serene location in the woods. The property owner was very easy to contact and quick with replies. Everything was great!
Such a beautiful and cozy space nestled in the woods. We loved that we could bring our pup and the cabin had everything we needed for a home away from home.
Such an amazing stay! Very private property, was amazing for the dogs to run. Still close to downtown Manistee. We went into town for lunch for days and had a great time. Everything was very clean and as expected.
We loved our stay at the cottage in the woods. Was grateful to find such a great pet friendly option. The cabin was clean and nice with everything we needed. It was quiet and secluded which made for a relaxing stay. The lake and the Pine River were not too far of a drive and got to enjoy kayaking/hiking. Will definitely come back again!
It was a perfect little cabin for our relaxing getaway. Set up nicely for a chill weekend, perfect for a couple. Host was very responsive with any questions we had- would recommend!
I booked the rental and the owner never sent the key pad code. I had to look for a new place to stay that night. VRBO refunded my money but what a terrible experience. VRBO tried to contact owner with no response, I hope no one books this place it’s a scam

I sincerely apologize for the experience you had. I understand how frustrating it must have been to arrive without access.
This was the result of an internal communication oversight, and I take full responsibility for ensuring every guest has a seamless check-in experience. The cabin is a well-established rental with many successful stays, and this situation was an isolated breakdown that does not reflect our usual standards.
We have now implemented additional safeguards and automated systems to ensure all guests receive their access information with backup measures in place.
I have reached out directly to you to make this right and truly regret the inconvenience this caused.
Kindly, Karen
Enjoyed our stay. Lots of great hiking and biking nearby, plus easy access to beaches and restaurants up and down the Lake Michigan coast. We wish our schedules would have allowed us to stay longer.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed this cozy cabin for it's amenities and for being tucked in a secluded spot. We made the short drive to downtown Manistee for some shops and the beach. And we enjoyed the Bear Creek river access nearby for some kayaking/SUPing.
