Charming Log Cabin with dock space for your boat on Crosslake

This newly renovated and charming log cabin is just what the doctor ordered. With this property, you get the best of both worlds... First, its situated on Pleasant Lake, which is a quiet environmental, crystal-clear and spring-fed lake that is stocked with rainbow trout. This is an extremely clean lake where no motors are permitted. Its perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and swimming, or just simply relaxing from your large platform dock. We also offer a beautiful 23’ pontoon boat (check in advance for availability) for rent that we keep docked on Cross Lake available for when you want to enjoy all the advantages of the Chain. If you have your own boat we also offer dock space on Cross Lake. This is a unique property in that you can have the best of both...your own private swimming lake AND all the fun amenities of being on Crosslake and the Whitefish Chain. This adorable 2 bedroom, one bath cabin also features 2 large patios for grilling and relaxing. This unique property is located on West Shore Drive which features a wonderful bike path and is conveniently located only 5 minutes from downtown Crosslake.

Our stay was perfect. The cabin has authentic MN charm with the luxuries of home. The location on a quiet environmental lake was a perfect way to relax. The water makes for the best crystal clear swim. The lake even has trout and wonderful MN wildlife including loons. We had an unforgettable stay and we will be back!

Great little spot

Previous reviews were spot on; this is a gem of a little spot. We were two adults and a teenager and the space was just right; we will be back.

Beautiful place!

The property was exactly as listed. It was beautiful, and Rob and Leslie were really accommodating. Would highly recommend the pontoon rental. Great pricing and location! Would definitely stay here again.

A group of 3 girls escaping for the weekend and we picked the perfect spot! The cabin was incredibly charming and clean with everything we needed and more. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolates which was quite a treat. The hosts were kind and very responsive to a few questions we had during our stay. The cabin is close to restaurants, bars and a walking path to be out and about. The lake was exactly what we were looking for to relax, float, listen to music and swim. It’s very clean and surrounded by trees and wild life. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Fantastic family getaway

This was the perfect getaway for our family of four. The property is well-appointed and comfortable. The location is unmatched. It is close to all the action but also has the calm and quiet of Pleasant Lake when you are ready to unwind. We have rented from this owner three years in a row now and have nothing but positive things to say.

Wonderful Cabin

The log cabin is truly charming! It was clean and well stocked. Pleasant lake is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. It was awesome that the rental included a kayak and paddleboard. Our hosts were wonderful, and checked in with us to make sure we didn’t need anything.

Log Cabin Stay On Pleasant Lake - Crosslake MN

Beautiful classic cabin on a private environmental lake was perfect. The grounds and cabin are immaculate and having the small private lake was great for fishing and swimming. The owners are extremely nice and thought of everything to make our stay great. They were even nice to rent us their personal pontoon which was luxurious and perfect for navigating the gorgeous white fish chain.

A pleasant time at pleasant lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin. The owners were great and the cabin had everything needed for a fun and relaxing time. The lake was great for using the kayak and paddle board. There was a great biking and walking path to use. We enjoyed watching and listening to the loons on the lake.

Beautiful cabin in a wonderful location

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing stay in this perfect setting! The cabin is very nicely appointed with comfortable beds, and all the amenities to make the stay enjoyable. Owners are awesome, and have great attention to detail from the decor to comfort to the lovely chairs with umbrella on the dock of Pleasant Lake. Very nice to have access to Cross Lake as well. Thank you so much for your hospitality and for sharing this little slice of heaven!!

Wonderful in so many ways

The cabin was beautiful…comfortable and clean and quiet. The location, near Crosslake, was close enough to town for convenience and easy access to groceries and restaurants yet far enough away to get away from traffic. Rob and Lesley were great hosts and communicated well throughout. Based on the cabin and the hosts, our trip was awesome.

Girls weekend getaway

We had an incredible time at the charming log cabin. The lake, setting and cabin were perfect for four women looking to unplug for a few days. Rob and Leslie were wonderful, they checked in on us and were so quick to respond to questions. The water was so clean and clear, we spent hours on the dock and deck. We will be back!

Rustic & Charming Retreat

Super cute authentic log cabin on a beautiful small lake. Lots of charm and fun decor with the modern conveniences. Large yard, lots of space for parking. Great size kitchen and hosts were gracious and welcoming. Loved the private dock with seating as we watched the loons while drinking our coffee and wine. Nice deck overlooking the lake with grill and lots of seating. Also great fire pit area!

Bring your swimsuit!

This has been the best VRBO stay by far. We definitely over packed. The owners have thought of everything. They had all bathing items available, cooking supplies (spices, olive oil, coffee, ketchup, mustard etc.), plenty of beach towels and swimming gear. Absolutely loved our stay.

Perfect location

The location was wonderful- the quiet lake on one side and the larger Crosslake across the street (and through a neighboring property). The cabin used to be part of a resort, and the (private) tennis courts out front and other cabins close by are reminders of its past. The cabin was very well appointed and we enjoyed the firepit, grill, kayak and private dock as well as the pontoon boat the host graciously rented.

Cozy Cabin

This log cabin is perfectly rustic, clean, and cozy. We enjoyed our long weekend paddle boarding, listening to loon calls, and enjoying the outdoor bonfire. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials, including plastic cups to take outside. The location is convenient to lakes and restaurants. The owners are kind and gracious to share their cabin.

Summer fun

This property is quite the treasure! Location is perfect. Wide selection of things to do in the area but the best part of our stay was the serenity of the lake in our back yard. Cabin and grounds are well kept, clean and the owners are very responsive and accommodating. This was year #2 for us and hoping to make this a regular stop each summer. Susan

Hidden Gem!

This property did not disappoint! The hosts have thought of everything needed to make the stay easy and enjoyable from spices and condiments in the kitchen to a basket of nicely rolled beach towels by the lakeside door. I can be easily uncomfortable in new places but not here. Pleasant Lake was wonderful, clear, and quiet. We enjoyed every minute in and out of the cabin.

Great VRBO

We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our stay at Rob and Leslie’s cabin. They have more than one so check them out. Lovely hosts, so much included in the rental….beach/ boat towels, spices, aluminum foil etc, charging cables… really they have thought this out. I loved the “rustic” aspects but no way think that means uncomfortable. In fact, I’d take that recliner home. The “quiet” lake out back and active Cross Lake a stones throw away. What more could you ask for. Enjoy

Perfect getaway spot

This beautiful log cabin more than lives up to its posting on VRBO. It’s conveniently located within minutes of the Crosslake business area, yet it feels like it’s off the beaten path. The paved, off-street trail that goes past the cabin is great for running or walking. One of the highlights is the large dock with four comfortable chairs and a rug. A ‘heads up’ (more accurately, a ‘heads down’) to anyone over six feet tall: the doorways in this charming cabin are low - about six feet, so you will need to duck when you go from room to room. Other than that, this place is fantastic.

Tranquil Out-of-Time Relaxation....

The cabin is my perfect style...exposed logs, comfortable furniture and bed, decor Ralph Lauren, lake right there, galley kitchen with everything I need (I'm a chef). But, what is exceptional about this property is Pleasant Lake, a serene, all to yourself, clean with no motor boats lake. There is a lovely dock with umbrella and chairs, a kayak and waterboard and 3 loons and an eagle for endless entertainment. My husband and I, wound ever so tight , actually relaxed during our week on Pleasant Lake and we thank Rob and Leslie for all they did to make that happen!

Has everything you want and need.

We loved this cabin, and really appreciated the details we didn’t know we’d have - like the paddle board and kayak, beach towels, bug spray, and any kitchen item you’d want or need…. they have thought of everything. We wanted access to Crosslake and to be near to all the amenities there, so the location was perfect. Pleasant Lake was the icing on the cake. It’s simply beautiful. The second bedroom is very small, and the master bedroom ceiling is open so you hear the main area, but these were both minor details. The decor and bedding is so comfortable! The owners were wonderful. We would stay again for sure!!!
