Amazing view

We had a wonderful stay at Jaques place. The apartment is very spacious with a kitchen and everything we needed. We mostly loved the view from the apartment and our kids loved the black sand at the beach at the front. As we arrived late, it was very convenient that there is a restaurant at the bottom of the complex, so we didn't need to go grocery shopping straight away. There was also a show on at 7.30pm on Thursdays and live music on the weekend. The big Carrefour is only about 7min by car away which was handy as going out can be quite costly in French Polynesia. Jaques met us at the apartment and showed us around and was very helpful with great tips. We highly recommend staying here.

Had a great time! The condo is spacious, well furnished, and clean. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with a wonderful view. You can hear the waves with the sliding doors open. Jacques was an excellent communicator. All was good!

Lovely place to stay!

Although we didn’t get to spend much time in Papeete, we thoroughly enjoyed the condo here. I would highly recommend it!

There was music at the bar on Friday and Sunday during our stay, plus a happy hour each night. Loved the chickens and kittens.

Fantastic host Jacques, great communication, very helpful, even dropped us at avis rental to collect our car. Apartment was very clean and roomy and very well equipped. Definitely recommend staying here and would stay again. Thanks Jacques.

Great place at a great location

The location is perfect! Overlooking the pool, on the black sand beach...paradise! The condo is perfectly clean and ready when you arrive. Jacques, the VRBO owner, is a wonderful host with lots of great ideas of what not to miss nearby. Use his wealth of local knowledge to find out where to eat, what to see, where to swim, and more! This is our second stay here, and we'll be back!

Our host, Jacques, was incredible! He greeted us at the property, gave a great orientation, and provided great ideas for activities in Tahiti. He eas available throughout for conwultation and it really enhanced our stay. The property itself is special, a lovely 1 BR 1 1/2BA apartment, yet on the grounds of a very nice full service hotel, with a beautiful infinity pool overlooking a protected black sand beach.

Beach Blast!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful vacation at this amazing place in paradise on the beach in the South Pacific. Our host Jacques and his family are truly good and generous folks and he went over and above to provide everything we needed. We give him the highest rating.

Historic and Convenient Stay

A Capt. Cook fan we enjoyed staying at - and swimming in - historic Matavai Bay. Relaxing, well kept, extraordinary appointments and great access to the hotel pool and restaurant. Jacque is an incredible host, helpful and knowledgable. Only one concern about this location - neighborhood dogs barking through day (but not night) and some street noise… Would definitely stay here again!

Wife and I arrived 8:30 pm. Jacques was there to meet us and show us into the apartment and get us settled. He went out of his way during our 4-night stay to ensure our comfort. The apartment is large, freshly refurbished and well air conditioned. The king size bed was comfortable as is the furniture. We could not be happier with our choice to stay here! View is of the pool and ocean and we enjoyed the amenities of the resort. Can't wait to return!

Our accommodation met all our expectations. Spotless, providing everything you will need to enjoy your vacation. Especially loved the bonus washing machine and second bathroom. Our host Jacques was the very best ever. He was super attentive answering all my questions before booking. Once we arrived he helped us in so many ways. He was a five star host! We stayed three weeks and the adjoining resort was perfect too. Great huge pool, restaurant and bar too. Shops and spa. The ocean was rough and we had lots of rain but it was an amazing.

Short but Sweet

Due to unforeseen circumstances, instead of staying in this beautiful location in Jacques’s exquisite accommodations, we were only able to stay for one evening. As our plans kept on changing, our host was in constant communication with us and extremely flexible and accommodating, including picking us up personally at the airport and returning again to bring us back to the airport when we left. Not to mention that he offered to take us on a tour of Tahiti as we return prior to boarding our final evening flight back to the U.S.. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet and stay with Jacques, even if it was Short but Sweet.

If you found this property, take it and you won't regret it! We stayed at the suite for 1 week and have not enough words to describe how we felt. Amazing place and Jacques is the kindest and most accommodating person you could ever meet. If I could I would give 10 stars not 5. The ap is clean, and is part of a complex with all the amenities you would need at your disposal. What you need is just to fly there and bring your good spirits. Tahiti will cover for all the rest and more. LOVED IT !!!

Epic experience with an amazingly helpful and caring VBRO host

We truly can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay at this VBRO. The host here is beyond helpful, from picking us up from the airport, to showing us around the property, to ensuring that all of our questions were answered and giving us amazing tips to see and experience the local Tahitian culture. This apartment has everything you would ever need and so much more, it’s the perfect amount of space for a couple to enjoy a relaxing vacation with all the amenities you would need if you chose to stay inside. The hotel next door offers one of the best Tahitian shows I have ever experienced, Jacques will give you all the information for the best way to get the most out of the show- we definitely did. The apartment also offers incredible views and amazing sunsets. It’s quiet and comfortable, it’s exactly what we needed to enjoy our perfect honeymoon. 10 out of 10 for sure we will be back.

Wonderful host and location

The apartment was the perfect set up for us. Being attached to the hotel property and having access to those amenities was fantastic. Our only issue with the location is it was hard to access a food market if you do not have a car. For what we did, we did not need a car except for that which would make groceries very expensive. The hotel also has a shuttle to town twice a day M-S which was another reason we did not rent a car. Jacques is a wonderful host, always making sure we had what we needed and offering us additional help. We could not say enough nice things about him. He met us late at night and walked us through the property. It was close to midnight before we arrived from the airport. He even gave us a mini tour and ride to the port on our depature. We would recommend this property to anyone staying on Tahiti.

Can't wait to go back!

From the time we booked until the time we left the property, Jacques was the most fun, attentive property manager we've ever met. It was my birthday week, and he brought us a very nice bottle of French wine to celebrate. He has lived on the island for decades, so he knows all of the hidden gems to visit. He sent us to some very cool places we would have never found without his recommendations. He made sure that we enjoyed ourselves from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. They have redone the condo, and it is immaculate! Far cleaner than many hotels! There is a well-kept pool as well as being on the beach, so you have your choice of swimming options. Onsite is also a good restaurant and bar with a happy hour every day. Thursday night is "show night," which was a ton of fun! Jacques made sure we had the best experience possible. Can't wait to go back!

Great amenities, beautiful views!

The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed to have an enjoyable vacation. But what made our stay most special was our hosts who went above and beyond with their helpful tips and suggestions throughout our stay. Lovely people and a beautiful view. We will be back!
