The house: 5* Attractive house, three exceptionally clean bathrooms and good, hot, strong showers. Well equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, microwave coffee machine, freezer). All the bedrooms had working aircon. Outdoor space with a huge dining table, in addition to lounge chairs and table tennis table (all equipment provided). Salvatore and his parents prepare the property beautifully - welcome pack of food and water, wine in fridge. Anti-mosquito plug-ins provided throughout house. Soap in bathrooms, coffee capsules and staples such as olive oil, vinegar, salt. Swimming pool lovely and sunbeds and towels are provided. Outside space has nice lighting in the evening. The Location: The train station (Lascari) is a few minutes walk away and we used it to take a day trip to Palermo where we did a street food tour which we recommend. Trains are punctual and reliable. We had a car rental and used this to get into Cefalu (huge car park at Lungomare Guiseppe Giardini. Charming town with lovely sandy beach. Clear sea on calm days and fun waves on windier days. Lots of restaurants - we tried Tinchitè, Al Gabbiano, Porta Ossuna Cefalu and Ostaria Del Duomo - all recommended. Nearer to the house we liked Voce del Mare and Da Piero (nice takeaway pizza). Recommended Activities: Zipline Sicilia, Gole Di Tiberius (a gorge in Madonie), Horse Riding in Madonie,(Sicily Horse Tours), Parco Avventurea Madonie. There is an acqua park nearby too but we didn’t try it.

Our group covered friends and family aged 21 - 80+. This beautiful property had everything we needed; gorgeous views, multiple eating areas, lovely pool, fruit trees, lovely bedrooms, table tennis area, BBQ and even a pizza oven. Plus Amica, the gorgeous and adorable owners dog. The photographs do not do it justice! We had a great two weeks, and wished it could have been longer The local area is great, The hosts were charm themselves and so helpful. Top quality holiday location .

This was a really fabulous week in Caltavuturo. Susanne has a created a welcoming and beautifully styled home and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. There are many hidden places around the property to relax, whether it’s by the pool, on the terrace on the long outdoor sofa or upstairs on the terrace outside the main apartment. The kitchen is really well stocked with appliances. There are two fridges so plenty of storage space. The Weber grill was perfectly clean and easy to use. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and nice and cool with AC. We had a couple of minor problems which were swiftly resolved by the Susanne and her wonderful helpers, Leah and Vincenzo. They couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful. Overall, this was a lovely holiday with our kids who are 9 & 11. It would also be really suitable for slightly older kids who would have space to roam. If I had any hesitation at all it would be the amount of driving required as the property really is quite remote, but that was also a benefit so we could have a quiet week. I am sure we will be back and thank you to Susanne again for a lovely stay.

Great villa set in elevated and secluded setting with fantastic views over the coastline with sun-sets over the sea. The extensive landscaped grounds are spacious with super pool and golf pitch & put facilities directly from the villa. Villa itself is modern, well laid out and we exclusively used the outside kitchen and BBQ facilities. Ideal for our family of 5 (2 adults + 3 children all16+) relaxing round the pool and visiting the excellent local beaches. Good location for days out across the beautiful island of Sicily (we visited, Palermo and Cefalu, climbed Etna and explored the mountains inland from the villa). Our excellent host, Natale, welcomed us with cakes, drinks and fruit from the gardens and hosted a BBQ for us and the family from the other onsite villa. He's very friendly and likeable and went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Thank you Natale. We all had a fabulous time, thouroughly recommend the villa and will be back to Sicily in the future.
