Marie-France & Gilles welcome you to a majestic 13th-century fortified house steeped in history (once linked to a now-vanished medieval castle), boasting rare and elegant brick architecture, carefully restored and transformed into a very comfortable holiday home. Located in the heart of the Bresse agricultural countryside, between fields and meadows, bordering the center of a small residential village nestled between the banks of the nearby Doubs River (a paradise for kayakers and anglers, famous for its catfish, zander, and carp, with natural beaches), a remarkable protected ecosystem classified as a "Natura 2000 Zone" (an exceptional bird sanctuary rich in 160 species of birds and very rare plant varieties), and the vast neighboring Pourlans state forest, a veritable "green lung" crisscrossed with footpaths (to be explored on foot or by mountain bike). A vast, enclosed 1.4-hectare natural park, partly wooded (a perfect playground and adventure area for children), includes two large terraces (one sunny, one shaded) and a small ornamental pond. The cottage offers excellent comfort and is very spacious with generous proportions. It boasts a warm, bourgeois charm with contemporary touches, creating a luxurious and refined atmosphere that blends tradition and modernity, enhanced by rich historical features including an unusual chapel (brick walls, stone fireplace mantel, beams, ceilings, magnificent timber frame, terracotta tiles, vaulted cellars, etc.). Enjoyed our stay at the castle

Super séjour dans un petit château très agréable

Super séjour entre amis. Visite de Caveau, et beaucoup de temps dans l’agréable jardin du château. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et la maison est parfaitement conformes aux attentes! N’hésitez pas à réserver le Château de Pourlans pour un séjour champêtre à deux pas des vignes!
