Beachside with Billiard Room & Beach Cruisers!

The Ruby Sea Turtle is a newly renovated Family Friendly 3 Bedroom 2 Bath Home located blocks from the Atlantic Ocean in North Jacksonville Beach. We provide a clean, comfortable, and private beach experience for all of our guests. Sleeping arrangements can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. After a long day at the beach, come back and relax in front of the 70inch TV or challenge a friend to a game of pool!

So why The Ruby Sea Turtle?
Founded in 1884 by the Scull family, Jacksonville Beach was first known as Ruby Beach. William E. and Eleanor Scull were the first family to settle the area, working a post office and general store while living in tents on the beach with their two children, "Ruby" and Bessie. What began as a small, nearly unpopulated, nineteenth-century outpost on the route between Mayport and St. Augustine eventually grew into the thriving and lively Jacksonville Beach we know today. With our love for local history and wildlife, we decided to name the house after a combination of the historical Ruby Beach and the beautiful Sea Turtles that nest along our shores.

All Bikes when not is use must be secured with provided lock. Renter will be Charged for Lost or Stolen Bikes.

We were celebrating our daughter’s college graduation from UNF. The house was perfect and the host was terrific. You can really feel a sense of community in the neighborhood as well. Overall great stay!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious, featuring a well-equipped kitchen and a delightful game room complete with a pool table. Absolutely perfect little home; very thought out and cared for. Hate it didn’t have a icemaker, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Would have loved to have had more dresser space and curtains or blinds that dimmed the bright light in the bedrooms but they weren’t dealbreakers either. Great location for a great stay. The pool table room was so much fun and we spent most of our time in there.

I would like to give compliments to the host of this property. Although it is a smaller/older property, the home is extremely clean, well maintained and most of all exceeded expectations on amenities provided by the host! We could not have asked for a better say. The location is super convenient to beach access and local restaurants. Would not hesitate to rent this property again in the future :)

Cozy and clean!

Came for a short stay to enjoy the beach with our kids. They had a great time playing pool, loved all the cozy details of the home. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Perfect location for quick drive or bike ride to the beach, quiet neighborhood. We would definitely come stay again!

Perfect size for a family of 5

We went for a soccer tournament at the Patton Park. Perfect location, also near the pier and restaurants. We made the right move renting this nice house.

Great property and great owners

We only had a short stay, but will definitely stay here again. It’s close proximity to the beach, the home is clean and well-kept, and the owners are close by if you need anything at all during your stay. I would definitely recommend staying here!

This was a great property. The billiard room was a great plus in bad weather and the bikes and proximity to the beach were a hit when the weather improved. Property owner was very responsive, we will definitely stay here again!

Hey friends! We are a local family with a passion for hosting and entertaining. We discovered Jax Beach during college back in the early 2000's. Thomas is a Marine Corps Veteran and after several years of being stationed in various locations across the country, our hearts drew us back to this small beach town. We love our community and are currently raising three beach groms (kiddos) while growing our business and building lasting relationships.
