Wonderful little neighborhood

We visit Put in Bay every August and have such a wonderful time. The neighborhood at this vacation rental is a cute little place with the feel almost like a campground. We loved that they offered golf cart rentals right there at the office. The house was cozy and perfectly sized for us. We had a few minor issues which the owner was fast to address. We had a great time and will definitely try to book again in the future.

Beds were nice. Bathrooms were pretty clean but the water came out black first in the one shower. Furniture and kitchen is outdated. Make sure to wear shoes or sandals in the house because your feet will turn black. Pool was nice.

Great place to crash for the weekend. HVAC wouldn’t keep up with the 95 degree days. House was somewhat clean. A lot of cob webs but no visible bugs or critters. Three coffee pots. One coffee cup. Lol. Nice washer and dryer. All in all I’d stay here again but she’s not the Hilton.

Hi Steve Thanks for the review and the details. If you ever stay again, feel free to reach out. We have a portable AC in the shed just in case something happens to the AC or it's too hot and it can't keep up. We could have helped in that instance. Also, thanks for the message about the coffee cups. This is the first I have heard and will order some right away.

Pretty Much Perfect

The house had a few minor things that needed attention (1 sink dripped, a few small tears in the couch), but the owner said he will take care of them. The area was VERY quiet. The pool was close enough and nice. Could use another step by the side door. Other than that, it was just what we were looking for!

We were notified a few hours before checkin that there was an issue with this house and it wouldn't be suitable to stay. I appreciated the communication and they were able to find us a similar place to stay very close to the original house. We were very happy with our stay and the proactive communication.

Very dirty

We visit the island every year. This was the first year staying in the neighborhood. 2021. Not a bad place but for the price we paid you would expect a clean place to sleep at the least. We seen cleaning crews around other house in and out within 5 mins. The floor were so dirty you couldn't walk bare feet without them turning black. Water pressure was terrible. Dishes in the cabinet were filthy. Sheets/pillowcases were dirty. This is just what I can remember to list. The owner was very respectful leading up to the stay and would answer any questions I had but when I messaged him the last night with concerns, there was no response. This is why I post a review. You would think in the middle of a pandemic, this would be a top concern. At least have the place cleaned thoroughly between guest.

Not as expected

When I first saw this rental, I messaged the owner and asked about the bedroom accommodations. He said the master has a big bed and then the other two bedrooms have bunk beds. I said I don’t think that is going to work and I would check around. He told me he could put a full or queen size bed in one of the rooms. I thank him and booked the condo. Something came up and I was not able to go. But my bf and the other 2 couples still went. I have rented VRBO numerous times and have always been very pleased, most of the time they are better than I thought. Not this time! They told me their were ants everywhere and when they got there the sink had a lot of food sitting in the drain. And the ants seemed to be coming or attracted to that. One of the woman said she spent the better part of the morning cleaning up. He did NOT remove the one set of bunk beds as he has indicated. Very upsetting, because I reassured everyone that they would have “big” beds and my bf and I would take the bunk beds. You go on vacation to reconnect with your partner, bunk beds ummm no! It had 2 bathrooms as described, but the main bathroom had no water pressure and everyone was forced to use the master bedroom bathroom. 1 man did shower in the main bathroom and said the tub did not drain either. My bf called the owner who said, ya I know I have had that problem for 2 years and just can’t seem to get it fixed! Wow seriously??? If he knew he should have listed it on his description of property. Main bathroom has a low water pressure but is still usable. They did say the property was in a very nice location, it was very roomy, and 3 couples had plenty of room to move about. They grilled out one night and they said the grill looked like it was ready for the scrap yard. Another thing I thought odd was that he called them one day and said did my cleaning lady leave a big set of keys in your condo today? There was no indication that they would have a cleaning service during our stay. So to have someone in the condo when we didn’t know that was bothersome. Overall we will not stay there again. We all love put-in-bay and go once a year. As I said VRBO has never let me down. I have talked friends into using it and they all love it. I just hope I don’t get Leary about booking with them again. Just be upfront about yout property. We have been told things about places and have said ya I can live with that. And still booked. No surprises!!!

#94 Vacation Rental

Loved out time with family on Put N Bay. The house had plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was fully equipped and you can't beat the location! A pool in the community is a nice perk also. That we could bring our family dog was also a plus that many rentals don't offer. Will definitely be booking next year!

Great Lake Weekend

We loved the house! Three friends and I stayed here for 4 days and had a great time. Everything was clean and we had plenty of room in the house. Our dogs loved it too! Although we did have to buy our own toilet paper and garbage bags, which seemed odd. That aside, we had ana amazing, relaxing time at the house, and as always we had lots of fun exploring the island.
