The Barefoot Beach House sits on a sandy beach

The Barefoot Beach House is one of the nicest guest house offered in South Palmetto Point...just south of Governor's Harbour in Eleuthera. This is offered as a 2 bed/2bath. See Home Away 4279742 for an additional bedroom and bath if you need 3bed/3baths. Step out the door to a beautiful crystal clear turquoise beach. We have a rowboat that can double as a sailboat, a canoe and kayaks for your use. Inside the tropically decorated home you will have all the luxuries of home...hair dryer, iron, cable TV, WI FI ,games & water toys. Fully equipped kitchen and 8' wrap around patio with patio furniture and gas grills. Relax in the hammock under the palm trees, catch a bonefish right off the beach, explore the many beaches on the island, take day trips to the north & south and do some island exploring or just relax on the sandy beach and soak up some sun. Come back and enjoy the oversized shower with room for 2 or sit out on the patio and enjoy the stars that sparkle like diamonds in the sky.
Easy commute to local attractions: Located about the middle of the island it makes it great for day trips to the north and south. We offer a book with directions to all the beaches and attractions...explore at your leisure. There are several stores and restaurants located within a 5-7 mile radius. You might not want to leave the property as we are located on a sandy beach and have a boat that can double as a sailboat, a canoe and kayaks for your use. Enjoy relaxing in the swaying hammock under the palm trees, work on your tan on the beach or explore the island and find hidden beaches. With our unique location we have sunrises to the east over a point of land and sunsets over the Pineapple Cays which are right off shore. You will have breathtaking views of the stars at night..like diamonds in the sky. You will find The Barefoot Beach House relaxing, squeaky clean and comfortable.

Please leave all your worries at home. We expect you to relax...we even provide you with a complimentary BOTTLE OF LOCAL RUM! Our motto is: Enter as a guest, leave as a friend. Once you have visited Eleuthera you will not want to go home. With our repeat guests we know that you will want to come back again and again.

Birthday get away

We loved everything about the property. The access was excellent and the rental car assistance was a huge help, and much cheaper. We enjoyed the fading light in the calm surf a couple of steps back to the house. We can’t wait to come back to this treasure.

Great location

We had a great time and enjoyed the quiet surroundings . The kayaks were a plus and the grill came in handy for dinner. This house was centrally located and made our daily explorations an easy drive. We would definitely stay here again . Thanks again for the Rum we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Barefoot Beach House

This house has a great location centrally located on the island and sits on a beautiful sandy beach. The Owner takes pride in her house and keeps it very clean and pristine. The grounds are tropical and well maintained. This was our first time exploring the island but honestly we could have stayed at the house and just enjoyed everything this house had to offer.

Perfect location

Met Skip as I arrived at the house. Beautiful spot in front of a sandy beach. Since Palmetto is in the middle of the island it made for a great starting point to explore the whole island. The house was comfortable and had what we needed for a relaxing stay. If I ever make it back to Eleuthera I’ll definitely stay with them again.

We had a wonderful time at the Barefoot Beach House! The house is very clean and well supplied with towels and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. The rum was a wonderful touch. The owners anticipated all our needs.The house was located in a quiet location which gave a real feel of the island and its simple serenity. Great trip. We will definitely return.

Spectacular beachfront cottage

Firstly the cottage is one of the most impeccably clean places we have ever stayed at. Skip and Sharon have done an amazing job at making this cottage wam and welcoming. The location in palmatto point is conveniently located to grocery/liquor stores nearby. The beachfront is fantastic. Literally 50 steps from bedroom to the warm carribbean waters. We will definitely be back again.

Beautiful Location.

My husband, adult nephew and I stayed a week in the Mermaid/Seashell Combo. It was the perfect size for us. The house was equipped with everything we needed and the mid island location was ideal for us to explore north and south. Sharon and Skip were welcoming and they live next door so they are accessible at any time. The beach was beautiful, calm and private. It was great for swimming and snorkeling around the little cays. I highly recommend staying at Barefoot Beach House and visiting Eleuthera.

Gorgeous view!

We stayed in Sharon and Skip's rental home for a week. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by Sharon who was a fabulous host. The house was immaculate as were the grounds. Everything we needed was provided. Sharon had an information book ready for our use which was extremely helpful. The views from this place were out of this world!!! I would definitely recommend the Barefoot beach house for anyone coming to Eleuthera.

Terrific Place

A hidden gem, S. Palmetto Point was great. close to every where it is some where in the middle of Eleuthera. We explore the north to get to boat tours and my grandson had a blast swimming with the pigs,turtles,snorkeling and more. But the truth is that the beach in front of the house is all you need. the house had everything you need, very comfy and very well decorated, the hosts are great and will help you with direction, Maps helped a lot. You want to stay longer, the people are very friendly there. We are returning next year God willing.

Above expectations

The pictures on the internet do not do the cottage justice. We counted the people we saw on the beach during the seven days we were there; 8. Everyone of them spoke to us. Every interaction on the Island was pleasant and folks generally went out of their way to accommodate. Our host was most gracious and a wealth of local information which took away all the guesswork. We're headed back as soon as we can lock in a date.

FABULOUS HOUSE ON THE BEACH!

This is a beautiful home in a lovely area right in South Palmetto Point. Spacious and fabulous, with a comfortable beds, nicely equipped kitchen, and cozy living room area., and the best part is the BEACH that is right out the front door! Definitely highly recommended! Skip and Sharon were a delight, although their home is on the property, they gave us our privacy and great conversations when we did see them. I could go on and on but, I will end with, GO! you will not be disappointed in this gem!! if they will have me, my family and I will certainly be back!

I would give 6 stars if that were an option!

You will hear a lot about the island and how magical it is….and I was very disappointed in the pink sand. All the pictures you see are taken with filters. If you want to see pink sand, wear pink sunglasses!! I have to say that the island people are super nice and the island holds a decent amount of magic but if I am ever able to go back, I would stay at the rental on the patio overlooking the Caribbean all day every day! Perfect place with perfect hosts. Thanks, Skip and Sharon
