Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
This home was clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. We felt at home the moment we walked in. Great communication with host. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Enjoyed my first stay as it met all of our needs for a father son weekend fishing trip so we booked a second time. Will stay here in the future as well.
Well kept cabin that had all the amenities needed. The location is great as the shore is just a short walk away so you can fish, bird watch or just enjoy the coast. Lamar in general is outstanding to see wildlife (deer, turkey and more). Another great benefit is the closeness to Goose Island State Park.
My son and I spent the long weekend fishing, hanging out and exploring the coast towns. This place was perfect for our needs, close to the boat ramp, easy access to head to other towns, was extremely clean, organized and the host communicates quickly and effecticely. We have already booked the home again and look forward to our next adventure.

Thank you Aaron! I love sharing our little piece of paradise with others. Looking forward to hosting you both again.
We were astonished to hear the Whoops in the first morning as we stepped outside of cottage. What a treat! The cottage is super clean and comfortable. Thank you!
Good, clean, cute decor and linens, quiet and right across from the pasture with Whooping Cranes, so great for birdwatchers. Lots of deer outside in the evening too. The mini split air conditioning worked well. We usually stay with Air B&B, this was my first time VRBO. Is it customary with VRBO to sweep and take the trash out as were the instructions in the property manual? We try to be really neat and clean and take our trash anyway, plus I like to recycle what I can but I was just curious if this is a VRBO thing. The only other item was the water. It was cloudy and gray looking. I noticed it is on a well. Thankfully we brought our own water to make coffee as my husband was quite upset with the look of the water from the sink in the coffee maker receptacle. We did not shower there after seeing the water.
We are not fisher people, well there was that one deep sea red snapper trip (highly recommended). We spent most of our days on the beach at Port Aransas. The ferry is a 30-minute drive from this cozy little cabin next to Goose Island State Park (deer and wildlife EVERYWHERE). After a day on the beach, it was nice to get out of the chaotic pace of PA. Thye cabin was just perfect for us. It is comfortable, cute and a bargain. It is a few minutes away from many of the great seafood restaurants in Rockport. WE LOVED OUR STAY AT THE CABIN BY THE BAY!
Great time only thing needs washer and dryer. House was nice . Screen door inside handle had alread3been repaired and broke broke again because wind slammed it shut. It needs a shock absorber. But overall cabin was very nice and ac was fantastic.

Sorry about no washer/dryer set up. Cabin is small for a weekend getaway and short term rental. Screen door handle will be replaced this weekend. It’s on my husband’s list of honey-dos. Thank you for taking the time to review our cabin.
Our stay was fantastic! The cabin is cute, cozy and clean. All the amenities and it was the perfect temperature inside. It was perfect weather and we enjoyed the front porch and sea breeze every evening. Also, very much enjoyed the abundance of wildlife everywhere. Rockport Beach is 15 mins away, so very convenient. Goose island state park and big tree are extremely close and could be walked to if desired. Norma is a fantastic host!! She was so friendly, informative and very helpful. The neighborhood is beautiful and everyone was friendly and helpful too. Will book again!
The cabin was a perfect stay for our last minute getaway. Norma was fantastic in answering any questions I had. We arrived and I will say the exterior is older, but has that charm and you go in and it’s just an adorable cabin. I loved the coffee/wine bar. The touches on everything were perfect, from the coffee mugs, to the beach shell lamps. We had everything we needed while we were there. We ventured around Goose Island. Walked to the boat ramps, came across a great deal of wild life. So if you are not used to that, drive, instead of walking. :)
