Great condo in hear of Manuel Antonio
I was nervous about booking this property because there were no reviews on VRBO but everything looks just like the pictures and the price was great! We spent Christmas here and really enjoyed our time. It's a unit you tell people live in or visit often because it is furnished and stocked with almost everything you could want or need. We have two kids (9 and 6) and there was plenty of room between the bed and sofa bed, plus the amazing patio provided extra space with a great view, table, sofa, and hammock chair. They have beach towels if you need them and beach chairs which really came in handy (none of our other rentals at other places had this) for a comfortable place to sit while at the beach. There is a restaurant right next door (Agua Azul), so there's noise throughout the day and until around 9 every night, but it never bothered us. We were bummed we never got to try the food but it never worked out. The condo is not really walkable to the beach (especially with young kids)- it's very hilly and steep here so you'd want to drive your car or get a taxi to the beach (only 5 minutes away). Expect to pay 2000-5000 colones for parking at the beach as well. The only bummer was the pool was out of service (this was communicated well before our arrival and we were given the opportunity to cancel). A dip in the pool is nice after a long beach day or when you don't feel like lugging everything to the beach BUT it wasn't that big of a big deal for us and we are glad we kept our booking here anyway.
Unrelated to the condo- there is a Falafel Bar restaurant a 5-minute walk from the condo. Go there to eat one night. It's amazing, fresh, and delicious.
The only thing I might recommend to the owners is a welcome book to the area. We read blogs, etc. but understanding how to most easily access the beach was a little confusing the first time and I always love to hear from owners about their favorite restaurants and/or places to visit in/around the town. Thanks for a great place to spend Christmas while enjoying Manuel Antonio!
