Welcome to TroutChasers!

Our suite consists of two bedrooms (the Yellowstone River Room & Madison River Room) each with their own private bathroom. The rooms are connected by a short hallway, which has hooks for hanging up coats, bags, and fishing/ski gear. The exterior entrances and kitchenette are located in the Yellowstone River Room.

YELLOWSTONE RIVER ROOM:
This room is furnished with two queen size beds, horizontal dresser, luggage racks, arm chair, and a desk & two chairs; it is the larger of the two rooms measuring approximately 400 square feet. The room also has a Roku enabled TV.

The bathroom has a tub/shower combo and is stocked with shampoo, soap, toilet tissue, hair dryer, and various other toiletries (in case you forget something). All bed and bath linens are provided.

Clothes hangers and a bath robe are stocked in the closet.

In the kitchenette is a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker (with reusable filter), electric skillet, single electric plug-in burner, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, dishes, glassware, silverware, and pots/pans. Dish towels, sponge/dish brush, and dish soap are also provided.

Outside the sliding patio door is a Weber propane grill and an outdoor dining table and chairs.

MADISON RIVER ROOM:
Furnished with two full/double beds and horizontal dresser, this is the smaller of the two rooms at approximately 225 square feet. The room also has a Roku enabled TV.

Bathroom has tub/shower combo and is stocked with shampoo, soap, toilet tissue, hair dryer, and various other toiletries (in case you forget something). All bed and bath linens are provided.

Clothes hangers and bath robe are provided in closet. There is also a built-in desk and chair in the walk-in closet.

PROPERTY:
TroutChasers Lodge & Fly Fishing Outfitters sits on 30 acres (only 20 minutes to downtown Bozeman and 25 minutes to the airport), which is bisected by the Gallatin River and Cottonwood Creek.

There is a one-room, rustic, custom-built cabin on the banks of the Gallatin River/Cottonwood Creek for guests to relax in and enjoy the property. In addition, there is an outdoor fire pit and seating for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the beautiful evenings.

We welcome and encourage guests to take the short walk (approximately 200 yards) down to the Gallatin River to enjoy the scenery or to cast a line (MT fishing license required and catch & release fly fishing only, please).

There is also a flower and vegetable garden with a chicken coop that houses the hens that provide fresh eggs.

The resident horses love when guests visit and say hello.

Other amenities on the property include hammocks, picnic tables, walking trails, and benches.

* Please note that guests DO NOT have access to the Lodge's common areas which includes the fenced side yard to the west of the Lodge.
** Pets are NOT permitted as part of this lodging package.
*** We are happy to offer flexible check-in and check-out times if our booking calendar allows.
**** The owners reside on-property, and they are happy to assist guests or make local recommendations. On-site fly fishing guide services are also available for all local waters, including the Gallatin River, which runs through the property.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the TroutChasers Suite. The wade fishing on the Gallatin was excellent, and we enjoyed a campfire near the river. The property is scenic and relaxing, and the accommodations were comfortable.

Lovely peaceful place

The suite was very nice! Clean with quaint decor and the kitchen had all the basics we needed. The Lodge is not far from restaurants and shopping and is on the Gallatin River which was beautiful. We booked a guided fly fishing excursion and our guide Jason made my first time fly fishing less intimidating and I was able to land several fish! He was able to give my husband pointers in his technique that had him hauling in an abundance of trout. The packed lunch that Julie supplied was farm fresh and delicious! Both Julie and Jason are warm and welcoming and were enjoyable to talk to. We will definitely return!

We enjoyed 3 nights at this amazing property right on the Gallatin River. Julie is a wonderful host, we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for our family of 4. Very clean, comfy beds, nice kitchenette, quiet, close to Bozeman. Must try Coffee Pot for pastries and coffee. Stacy’s for dinner! My son and husband enjoyed their fly fishing excursion very much! We will be back hopefully next year for longer!

Loves the Lodge!

Staying at Troutchasers Lodge added to our Montana experience! What could be better than having s'mores next to a woodland cabin along the Gallatin River? The rooms were spotless and much better equiped that any hotel. The owners were super friendly and available for any questions. On the map this property may look a bit off the beaten path, but the 18 minute drive to MSU is on a beautifully scenic road (Blackwood)...don't miss it!

Perfect holiday stay

I rented the Yellowstone Room and the Madison River Room as a holiday suite to spend some time with family for Christmas. What an incredibly comfortable, tidy and lovely home away from home! The property location is ideal to get away from it all, but close enough to enjoy all that Bozeman has to offer. Julie is a very welcoming and attentive host, and is quick to respond to any need or inquiry. Overall an excellent experience that I will gladly seek to repeat in the future, and maybe next time I will be able to take advantage of their guided fly fishing tours.

The rentals are great, the property is even better. Peaceful, yet convenient to Bozeman. We did a fly fishing lesson and did it right there on the property. I've never seen a river like this. Our family had the best time fishing. Julie was also good with communication prior to our trip, as I had a few questions during the booking process. Recommended

Wonderful Montana vacation

The property and suite were beautiful. All 4 of us (me, my wife and 2 teenage sons) had plenty of space to relax and rest after long days of rafting, hiking and exploring the Bozeman area. All utensils and other kitchen items were readily available to use. The grill worked like a charm...and made a pretty mean steak. :-) All in all, a great vacation and we would stay here again for sure.

Their family has since grown to include two daughters who are very much a part of the family-run business. They enjoy the simple things: playing outside, eating delicious food, and forming long-lasting friendships with their guests.

We (and you!) get the best of both worlds - convenient access to all of the fantastic things the college town of Bozeman affords (wonderful restaurants, breweries/distilleries, locally-owned shops & galleries, university happenings, cultural events) AND the relaxing experience of staying on spacious acreage surrounded by nature and the free-flowing Gallatin River.
