Summary:

Quiet, private family retreat!



The Space:

This beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 bath home will accommodate the whole family; and it is just a 5 minute walk to the beach! There are peek-a-boo beach views from both the main deck and upper deck, perfect for sitting to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail.



The open concept living and dining area is light and spacious, featuring seating for all, a large TV, and high speed internet. The beautifully designed kitchen has plenty of space to cook meals for the family, and coffee lovers will appreciate the Keurig and regular drip coffeemakers.



The upstairs and main floor each offer two bedrooms - an awesome layout for two families. Upstairs, the primary bedroom features a king bed and a twin day bed, as well as a private furnished deck! Bedroom two features 2 queen beds.

On the main floor, bedroom one features a king bed, while bedroom two has 2 sets of full over full bunk beds.



After a day at the beach, you can rinse off in the outdoor shower, or hang out in the large downstairs patio area with picnic table and charcoal grill. Make memories to last a lifetime at Melody of the Sea!



Small dogs (under 35 pounds) are welcome with a pet fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Family vacation

The stay was good. Only a few items need to be addressed. The stairs going up to the front door need to be braced or better supported. The shower temperature adjustment needs to be fixed the shower head upstairs has a leak squatting out onto the floor.

Nice weekend away at Melody of the Sea

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Melody of the Sea is a great vacation home very close to one of our favorite beach spots. This was a perfect place for our extended family of 10 to get together over a weekend. The layout of the bedrooms and baths fit our group well. The only issue we had was that the house was not very clean when we arrived. Visible dirt on the floor perimeter and window sills, as well as dead bugs. Also there is an ant problem, as we had them crawling on rugs and several other locations throughout the house. I notified management of the problem and they did offer to send someone out to clean and spray for the ants. I would rent this property again and hope that there will be more attention to cleanliness in the future.

Me encantó la casa todo muy bonito pero !!!

Nos encantó la casa solo hubieron unos detalles en la cocina no tenían toalla de papel bolsas para basura q se supone las tienen q dar no tenían una licuadora!! Y lo peor fue q salimos un poco rápido y olvide una flores q me regalaron x mi cumpleaños llame el mismo día para recogerlas y dijeron q no son responsables x cosas olvidadas olvide otras cosas q según ellos los tiran a la basura creo q hacen mal xq deberían de guardar cosas mas si son importantes si hubiera olvidado un anillo de oro no lo van a tirar a la basura o si ? Tal ves piensan q las flores no son importantes pero para mi si lo eran debieron esperar x lo menos ese día de la salida x si las quería recoger y las otras cosas q dejamos en la casa eso los haría mejores anfitriones x eso solo les doy 3 x no q no fueron amables al decir q no son responsables deberían de tener un lugar para guardar cosas x si las pueden recoger en unos días yo iba x mis flores y las otras el mismo día y ya según lo había tirado y eso no creo q lo hayan hecho eso lo deberían de hacer xq uno paga mucho dinero x 3 días de renta deberían de ser considerados un poco

Gave 4 stars on the general condition only because the jacuzzi tub in the second floor bathroom did not work, but spent most of the time on the beach anyway. I would definitely book another stay at this property.

Nightmare of Melody of the Sea

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I first found Melody of the Sea I believe in March. I made an appointment and drove the 2 hours to inspect the property and found it satisfactory for my needs. Agreed to rent, paid deposit for my May vacation. About 2 weeks before my stay I was told the rental has so damage from plumping issues so, I had to scramble and find another location.Fast forward to October. I looked online again and found this location back on the rental list. I did not go down and look at it this time I just took their word. This vacation rental was so nasty dirty when we arrived with or 4month old and our 5-year-old. I had to go buy cleaning product before we could even unpack our things. I contacted Jim with the problems immediately and was told he didn't make much money on this rental and would not even compensate me for the $100.00 cleaning products. Told me the filth was normal wear and tear. And would not be refunding any of my money told me to have a good Thanksgiving and hung up on me. This agent has been in business for years, not sure how, guess in order to be fully covered by the local scammers, is not to rent from this Agencey.

Vacay Fall 2022

Overall experience was great! The floors were not as clean as expected and there was some trash upstairs on one of the window sills. Also, the downstairs bathroom sink drain is draining super slow and there were towels left in the washer from another renter I guess. Otherwise, everything was just fine! Love this house and the room it gives us. It's a great place for families.

The stay was very nice, quite, and clean!

I had no problems renting this property out, the communication was great! If I needed any thing, the response was within less that 30 minutes! I would definitely rent this property out again!

However we are people who take things as they come. while staying here the upstairs toilet overflowed because tank chain somehow did not allow the plug to stop the water. once we stopped the flow it was several minutes before the water came through the ceiling in the kitchen. we dealt with it, cleaned it up and informed management. it was late so no response til early AM. we understand that beach houses have very sensitive toilets so we did our best with 13 people and 1 bathroom which overflowed twice during the stay. but we dealt. The house itself is lovely and pretty clean. There are places with water damage , but again it’s to be expected with beach properties. I wish more cleaners were available specifically sanitizers since our problems involved toilet water. But other than that....The overall feel and condition of the home is very cozy, visually pleasing and in good sturdy condition. The real estate office was so nice, kind, helpful and understanding. The maintenance men who came out were also nice, quick and very respectful. We would use this property again.

Fall 2021 Beach Trip

Our overall stay at the home was wonderful. I informed them of a couple of the bar stools that were shaky. It would also be appreciated if there were full rolls of toilet paper upon arrival. I know that paper goods are not provided, but it would be nice to have a roll of toilet paper there in each bathroom, especially after driving a long distance. Just my suggestion. Also, in one of the bedrooms upstairs, water leaked through the window when it rained.

Linens & Supplies

There was an "extra" fee for the linens, which was whatever, but the least that could have been done is put the linens on the beds for $140.00. There was nothing at this house, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags or even hand soap. Wish that was a little more spelt out. The house wasn't cleaned very well at all & has a horrible ant issue in the upstairs bedroom.

Spacious and Cute Cabin!

My family and I stayed here over the weekend and we really enjoyed the cabin. It's very spacious and has plenty of beds for sleeping. Most of the beds were a bit stiff, but some may prefer that. The kitchen has a good amount of counter space, but the kitchen wasn't as well equipped as we would have hoped. We really enjoyed our stay here and would come back again.

Great fam reunion beach house

Location was more secluded than the other beach house neighborhoods. Easy access to the beach. The linens were cleaned but they were old. Upstairs bathroom was cleaner than the downstairs. Kitchen was big enough for our whole family. Deck was fun to hang out and play. It was also clean.

Melody of the Sea

Loved the space in this house. We had a big group and there was plenty of room for everyone. Very close to beach and in an area that did not have lots of people. Comforters and mattress pads did not look like they had been washed. Fridge needed wiping down on the inside it had stuff on shelves from previous renters. The house was not nasty it just had a few things that could have been cleaner. I will definitely rent this house again.
