Overview

About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4-8)

Rehoboth Beach cottage in Dodd’s Addition, beach-side of Rt. 1, with easy access to Rehoboth and Dewey beaches. The cottage is located close to Silver Lake and is a 4-4.5 city-block walk around Silver Lake to the South end of the Rehoboth Beach Board Walk & the beach... or, if you prefer going to Dewey Beach, the walk is about 4 city blocks, winding around Lake Comegy, to the North side of Dewey.

The cottage is a low-stress and relaxing beach-place. The interior is larger than it appears from the picture of the outside of the house. There have been updates to the home, and the character of the traditional architecture has been preserved.

The two bedrooms are comfortable (and both have ceiling fans and TVs), as is the front room which holds the kitchen/dining area and family/ gathering/TV area where the queen pull-out sofa is located. There is a laundry room that is accessible from the 3-season room, main bath and main living area.

The 3-season room is spacious and runs along the back of the house. The room is fully tiled and can either act as an extension of the interior, or with some windows open, an extension of the back yard. In this room there are tables for dining, comfortable spots for reading & playing games or for just relaxing after a day at the beach. There is also another queen size sleeper sofa. During the hot Summer days this room gets hot. It does cool off in the late afternoon/evening with either windows open, or all connecting doors and windows open for exposure to the ac from the rest of the house. This room does not have central air, as the rest of the house does.

The backyard has a patio, Weber grill, outdoor shower and space for kids to play, adults to relax, and towels to dry. The cottage is situated on a low traffic street and has parking for 4 cars. Use of a Rehoboth Beach parking permit is included for convenience.

Re: little kids: there is a pack-n-play available for use at the house, a large Radio Flyer wagon, and a Little Tykes picnic table.

There are many attractions and activities in the area. Fabulous dining (the new Forgotten Mile Ale House is around the block), beaches, great nightlife choices in Rehoboth & Dewey, outlet & boutique shopping, biking, hiking, boardwalk, sports/ water parks and fun-land activities are just a few!!

I rent to individuals and adult groups (30 years+), and to families.

Cleaning fee $100. Refundable security deposit $300.

Perfect "Coastal Living" beach cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage has all the class and charm of a retro Hampton's small beach cottage..... Every amenity is provided.. the decor is so appealing ...it is a warm, comfortable cottage....beach perfect! We loved it....enjoyed our stay in Rehoboth. There is a walk to the beach...but it is a lovely walk...and the owners even provide a wagon for your beach things...or, use the permit and park closer to the beach and town....or ride bicycles....so many alternatives...and, so much to enjoy. Highly recommend!

Quiet & Quaint Beach Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage. It is very comfortable and has a real "beachy" look and feel which is the best, and what we look for when we go to the beach. The owner is nice, considerate, and very prompt. I look forward to returning next year!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I along with our 13 month old had a wonderful stay. It was a great location and the space was perfect for us. The owner was very responsive and returned our deposit quickly. The information the owner provided in emails and our welcome letter was very helpful. The weather didn't cooperate but on the plus side we had a nice place to retreat to when it rained. We would definitely stay here again.

comfortable and great location

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time staying here with our 7 month old. There was enough space that we could have brought more people, especially with all the space on the back room (not a bedroom technically, but could be totally closed in and sleep I think 4). It wasn't fancy, but that was actually a plus for us--we liked that there weren't a whole lot of knicknacks to worry about the baby touching or breaking, and we were really able to relax. The outdoor shower was lovely, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Location-wise it was ideal. Close enough to walk to the beach (took us about 10 minutes, but if you had a ton of beach stuff, it could be a little far to walk), but in a nice quiet neighborhood. Owner was very responsive and returned our deposit quickly. We hope to stay again.

Adorable Cottage by the Sea

  • 5 of 5

We love the Rehoboth area - we vacationed there as kids and now we are bringing our own daughter. We loved staying in this house! The neighborhood is so quiet and perfect for taking walks. The beach and Rehoboth Avenue is not far at all - just a few minutes by bike. The parking permit was greatly appreciated. The house has an awesome screened in porch which is perfect for hanging out, the beds are SO comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools, pans, etc, even some basic spices! The house is clean and decorated nicely. My husband is not easily impressed but even he loved it. It's exactly the kind of place we would like to buy for ourselves one day!! Our only tip is that you bring lots of quarters! Just in case you want to drive to Rehoboth Ave or if you have kids for the rides and games at FUNLAND!

Relaxation at it's best!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six had the most enjoyable stay in this wonderful, quaint and cozy beach house. The pictures at VRBO portray the layout perfectly, but you cannot appreciate how comfortable this cottage is until you come home from a day at the beach, ready to relax and enjoy a quiet evening. The neighborhood is quiet and yet neighbors walking their pets were always so friendly and eager to bid you a good morning or good night! We are Iowans, so this was our first venture into the Northeast and we also give a big "shout-out" to Rehoboth residents for an almost immaculate, litter free town. Great vacation, great people to rent from, freely providing some very important tips and information to make the stay so much easier. Thanks for some terrific memories to start our 2014 summer.
