Choosing a property with “Patty’s Casitas”(we also have a have a a 2 bedroom Loft in the same building #338304 and in Amador by the Causeway a 1 bedroom + 1 office with Twin bed #2464014 + a 1 bedroom in the same building #116555) means a well taken care home, responsive and dedicated hosts (who are also the owners) and the possibility of a full rounded experience with offering of airport transfers & tours.

Come and enjoy Panama by staying in this little gem - best location around the corner from “El Rey” supermarket…Casco’s only grocery store!

Want to stay in beautiful Casco Antiguo (also known as Casco Viejo) in the Unesco World Heritage neighborhood (the 'gem' of Panama City) at a reasonable price without giving up on quality and comfort?

The studio has all the comfort and more as it has been fitted with crown molding, bamboo floors, king size bed and custom made furniture. The setting is elegant yet homey and the kitchen is set aside from the main living area and is fully equipped…no kitchenette here;-)

If you like tranquility this is the perfect 'pied à terre' as the studio overlooks the internal patio but with views on other buildings which are not restored yet so you get a glimpse of the authentic life of the real Casco's inhabitants.

LOCATION:

It is near the famous “La Merced” Church which façade was transported stone by stone after the 1st city (Panama La Vieja) was destroyed…the building was actually the living quarters of the monks;-)

The condo is steps away from restaurants, bars & cafés, the famous Plaza Cathedral with the Museum of the canal & Plaza Herrera with its famous roof-top bar.

NEIGHBORHOOD:

Casco Viejo (also known as Casco Antiguo) is an effervescent neighborhood with its beautiful restored colonial buildings, home to the President Palace, the French Embassy & a gorgeous promenade with awesome views to the city's skyline & the Amador Causeway (entrance of the Panama Canal).

It also offers fine dining & entertainment with the National Theatre, great outdoor cafés for a nice drink on one of the charming plazas...an enjoyment by itself!

It's perfect location between down-town & Amador, a 5 to 10 Min's taxi ride, makes it a conveniently central “pied-a-terre”!

Patty and Rudy are awesome hosts. They were very attentive, kind and considerate. The condo is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Patty has provided amenities and services for cost that are well thought out and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. One should note that there is no elevator, so you will need to be able to walk up several flights of stairs to reach the condo. Overall, good exercise

Perfect Getaway for Two

A great stay in the heart of Old Panama

My fiance and I had a wonderful time here on vacation. It was centrally located, easy to check-in and had top notch amenities. The apartment was well decorated and having access to laundry was really nice. The hosts were excellent and were extremely accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again or at any of their other properties!

Amazing Stay

The flat was just amazing and a welcome retreat after a few days of travel on the Caribbean side. The location was perfect, quaint & clean. The fact that there was no elevator wasn’t a bad thing. We got our steps in to burn all those extra calories w eating out AND Rudy helped with the luggage upon arrival & on our way out…also taking us to the airport. Thank you Patty & Rudy!!!

Great condo in central and quiet location

5 stars all around! Patty & Rudy were fantastic hosts. The condo was exactly as advertised and was very welcoming and comfortable. The condo is centrally located with restaurants, bars, and shops a few steps away. Even though it is very centrally located it was very quiet at night. I would also highly recommend signing up for a tour with Rudy.

Wonderful Find in Old Town Panama City, Panama

A Very Nice, Quiet Studio Apartment with all the amenities needed. Located in the heart of Casco Antiguo a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, transportation, and great views of the city. Patty and Rudy are extremely easy to work with and truly care that your stay is wonderful. Rudy is a licensed tour operator, who is very knowledgeable and helpful. Providing airport/cruise pick up and drop off along with a variety of private tour options. Definitely will stay at Patty's Casitas again and use Rudy's Tours also.

What a gem!

Patty and Rudy's property exceeded our expectations in every way. Wow, what an incredible property! From the location, to the furnishings, to the quiet and the comfort, book nowhere else! And if you get a chance, take one of Rudy's tours. We toured the canal for a day, and it made my husband's bucket list item a dream come true.

A great start in Panama City

Patty and Rudy were among some of the best hosts we have ever had in all our bookings with VRBO. From the pickup at the airport to the restaurant recommendations and map of the neighborhood, they made sure our arrival and our stay was more than comfortable. Patty is an excellent communicator and was always available to assist. Would LOVE to come back to Panama City just to stay in this beautiful property again!

Fabulous place !

It was super clean ! The air conditioner worked great ! Great location ! The room was 20x20. Really large with tables in all the right places. They had extras under the sink. Bug spray, aloe vera, toothbrush. They left Panamanian coffee for us. The kitchen was well stopped with snacks, tea, spices. TV with cable. Rudy picked us up at the airport and showed us where to go. We couldn't ask for more.

Great stay in Casco Viejo

We had an excellent stay at this property, and we would certainly stay again. Patty was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with. The apartment is nicely appointed and works very well for two adults. It is on the third floor of a quiet building with an inner courtyard, with laundry facilities. The building itself is just across the street from the Mayor's office, and within a minute's walk to a Rey's, a grocery store. We really liked the location, with many restaurant options available as well as good walkability to parks and markets. We also took a great all day tour with Rudy, who was an excellent tour guide. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Just Wonderful

We have nothing but praise for the job Patty and Rudy have done. From the time we checked in until the time we left our hosts were spot on. They met us upon arrival and departure. The condo was spotless, well stocked and very comfortable. The bed was super comfy. The immediate neighborhood has great restaurants. Mahalo was our personal favorite but there are many other options within walking distance. We highly recommend this rental for your visit to Casco Viejo. Great job Patty and Rudy. When we return you will definitely be our #1 choice.

Everything is at your fingertips

This amazing property offers everything- great location, super comfortable accommodation and an unprecedented level of comforts. A fully stocked kitchen with everything you can imagine, umbrellas if it rains and full range of toiletries if you’ve forgotten something. The website photos are 100% accurate. Over all a truly delightful experience.

Awesome Place to Stay

We cannot say enough about Patty and Rudy's studio suite. It was well furnished and came with everything needed to make our stay very comfortable. All appliances were modern and worked well. The location is perfect for site seeing, shopping, and restaurants. We felt very safe the entire time we were there. Patty and Rudy are super fine folks and very knowledgeable about this area and all of Panama. We highly recommend Ruby's tours. He can provide much more information about the area and personalize your experience. Patty ensured our stay was comfortable. Carlos (building maintenance) ensured all the common areas were clean and was always eager to help in any way. We made many friends during our stay here. We HIGHLY recommend

Amazing property and hosts!

This property was in the perfect area for waking around and exploring. Is exactly as the photos show. The hosts are great and very responsive. Be sure to book a tour with Rudy. It was a highlight of our time in all of Panama! Very knowledgeable and super nice guy! 5 stars all the way around!

Retirement Exploration

The property was conveniently located. Within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, stores and churches. The condo was very clean with upscale amenities. Patty made check-in very easy and provided us great dining recommendations. Would highly recommended this property and Manager to anyone looking to stay in Casco Viejo.

A Perfect Place in El Casco Viejo

Patty’s Casitas is your best choice if you are planning to visit Panama. I stayed in the studio condo in the Casco Viejo from 22nd of September to the 24th, spent four days in Boquete and then returned to el studio from 28th until 1st October. I do have a lot of memories in El Casco Viejo, I am from here. I moved to this area in 1968, attended Simon Bolivar elementary school from 1971 until 1978, first communion in La Catedral in 1975, confirmation in La Merced in 1987 and wedding in La Merced in 2004. I am now an US Army servicemember retiree (after 26 years) and travel to Panama every six months to visit my mother who still lives in El Casco Viejo. Patty and Rudy are the people you want to talk if you are planning a trip to Panama and El Casco Viejo. They are great host and people that would do the ultimate to make your stay in Panama a nice memory. The studio room is so comfortable, clean and quiet that will make you believe you are by yourself in this building. El Casco Viejo is loud per nature because of all the new remodeling, restaurants, cars and people but the studio room is located in the back of the building and you will not hear anything. Rudy and Patty accommodated me between their busy schedule to ensure that I had no concerns with the room or my stay in my country. From the studio, I walked all over El Casco Viejo with my mother and it is amazing how it has changed from a quiet place back in the days to one of most visited places in Panama. I recommend Patty’s Casitas to anyone. In conclusion, everything is perfect in this place, A great place to stay!!! Kenny Rivera US Army (Ret) PS. I forgot the delicious coffee that you could make in the studio to start the day with smile and energy.

Perfect Spot and Amazing Hosts!

Fantastic place to stay in Panama City! Best possible location and beautiful apartment. The apartment was absolutely perfect and the hosts Patty and Rudy were so lovely and helpful. We did a tour with Rudy and it was definitely a highlight of our trip - he is so passionate and knowledgeable. And also the nicest guy! You can walk absolutely everywhere from the location of this apartment and there are a few little grocery stores within a 2 minute walk. I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Panama City!

We chose to purchase this property because it is such a vibrant neighborhood and has some of the best restaurants in town...not to mention that it is fascinating to wonder about in its little colonial streets admiring the buildings' amazing architectures.
Its central location between the banking district (2 min’s drive) and the Amador Causeway (5 min’s drive) makes it a perfect vacation spot.

It offers lots of entertainments like the national Theater and all the different venues: the Jazz and Music festival. You’ll find a variety of little shops with beautiful Panamanian handcrafts and every Sunday the flea market.
Casco Viejo is a great walking neighborhood home to the Presidential Palace, the Mayor’s Office (in our street) and the French Embassy.
