Overview

About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4 in beds)

PLEASE SEE GUEST REVIEWS BELOW. Our WIFI (secure) Aspen getaway at Chateau Roaring Fork is one of the best locations in Aspen, located right on the Roaring Fork River, on the road up to Independence Pass.

Our HOA is currently undergoing an exterior renovation of the property (new facade) as well as renovation of the interior hallways. The renovation will be complete by December. All of the facilities will be available during the renovation including the awesome pool! The contractors are doing their best to minimize the impact on the units, however at times there may be inconveniences. Because of the renovation, rates have been reduced.

We are a 5 minute walk to the gondola. Store your skis in our private ski locker, and walk to the gondola in the morning for a great day of skiing at Ajax. Our complex has one of Aspen's best year round outdoor large swimming pools, a kiddie pool, and two awesome hot tubs. Kids (and adults)love the pools and tubs. Summer in Aspen is unbelievable.

Our deck overlooks the year round outdoor pool and hot tubs and you can talk to your friends in the pool from our deck. Master bedroom with private bathroom has one queen bed. Guest bedroom had 2 twin beds. We also have 2 blow up queen mattresses for the kids.

Enjoy our wood burning fireplace and private outdoor gas grill right on our deck. Wireless internet access. Walk to Aspen's best restaurants and nightlife. Park your car in our parking lot and never drive again for the rest of your vacation!

All of the rooms have flat screen TV's. We have alarm clocks and humidifiers in both bedrooms. We have a front end loader washer and dryer in the unit.

We stock you with all the essentials - TP, paper towels, napkins shampoo and conditioner, soap, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap and detergent, salt and pepper, cooking oil, all the basic spices, cooking spray, sweet n low, tin foil, saran wrap, iron, hair dryer. We think we have thought of all the basics! You won't have to go to the grocery store and spend your time and money buying the basic items for your stay. Our guests love that we provide these items in our condo. If you had to stock these items on your own for a week stay, the dollars would add up quickly.

We live in Telluride now, but love Aspen just as much and just could not give up our vacation spot in Aspen. We have 4 kids who love this location and the pool/tub amentities as much as we do. The freedom to walk anywhere in town makes this the perfect location for you and your family. Upon booking confirmation, we will mail you information about Aspen, and the places we love in Aspen, along with all your needed information to get into our home. The guests who have stayed with us love our guide to Aspen.

Location is great - renovation and bed impact rating

  • 3 of 5

Location is amazing - walk to downtown in a few blocks

Main bed needs replacing (super firm). Renovation phase means noise and not being able to access outside things such as balcony, walkways, etc, plus several workers close to unit.

What else could you want?

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable, clean, cozy and tucked into a corner of town - it fit exactly what I wanted. Did the hot tub while snowing, ordered good food for delivery so we didn't have to leave at night and walked around town in a postcard setting-- and we don't even ski ! An economic value, good photo ops and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Incredible Quiet Place with Great Access and Value

  • 5 of 5

I had a party of 3 that stayed in this condo for 4 days but even more room. Great access to bus route to Aspen Mountain and more convenient than walking even though you could do it. Also an easy walk to town and grocery store even in Winter. Everything worked well. Quiet place away from crowds. Great beds for sleep. Victoria and Tamara were very helpful and made the visit clear and easy. Will go back.

Aspen Family Vacation

  • 4 of 5

This is a nice condo, walking distance to the Gondola and town with a great outdoor pool and hot tub area. We had some issues with the second bathroom and barking dogs next door and below us, but the management company handled our complaints quickly. If you're looking for luxury this is not for you, however this condo gets the job done at a reasonable price (for Aspen). We had a great vacation!

Great base for skiing

  • 5 of 5

This condo worked out really well for us. We had a party of 4 guys. We wanted to be close to skiing and close to good nightlife and restaurants and we did not want to rent a car. This was perfect. Very comfy condo. The wifi, kitchen, beds, TV were all great. Quiet at night when you wanted to get some sleep. Big heated pool and 2 or 3?) hot hot jacuzzis about 100 feet away. A 10 minute 5-6 block easy walk puts you at the base of Aspen Mountain for ski rentals and immediate access to the Aspen Mountain gondola. If you wanted to go ski at Aspen Highlands or Snowmass, then just store your skis at this base, then change into your ski boots there and jump on the free shuttles with your skis to the resort you want. The same walk at night gets you to the restaurants. There is a great market towards town only about 3-4 blocks away which has all types of food and drink if you want to spent the evening at home. We all thought it was a perfect setup. I'd go back in a minute. The only negative, and it has nothing to do with the condo, is that Aspen is relatively isolated with a small high (7800 ft or so) airport surrounded by mountains. Flying in and out is a dice roll; significant snowfall and poor visibility (which is what you pray for at least sometimes on a ski trip) led to cancellations of our, and many other, departing flights, and we had to rebook out of Denver to LAX, and we made the 5 hour drive to Denver Int'l in a one-way rental car for $225. But even that ended up being part of the adventure and it all worked out. Next time I might fly into Eagle (about 1 hr 20 mins away, bigger airport, more reliable but obviously not as convenient. That is the only thing i MIGHT do differently, esp if you HAVE to get back to work and/or you have little kids.

Great place to stay during Aspen Food & Wine Classic!

  • 4 of 5

We were fortunate to stay here during the Aspen Food & Wine Classic. The location was great..we were able to park the car in the lot and walk to all the events. Being able to pick up groceries at City Market, right down the street, was very convenient, as well as getting deli items at the butcher shop next door to the market. The updated bathrooms are so nice and we enjoyed the rain type showers. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was nice to have all the basic panty supplies available to use. You can hear the neighbors, so if you want extreme quiet, it might not be the place for you. Dave was very accommodating, and available by text, and helped me during the reservation process as well as checking in with us after we arrived. He also saved me with a quick unlocking when I got locked out. You will enjoy staying here.
