Start each day on the furnished balcony as you breathe in the salty air and watch the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean. Inside, a microwave and mini-fridge are ready to assist in quick snacks. Though this is a studio, the sofa separates the space to create a living area to watch TV, and groups of four can easily call this space home, making it ideal for small families or groups of friends to enjoy! When days heat up, don't hesitate to take a dip in the shared pool or simply walk along the harbor at sunset to end days on a dreamy.

Sitting right on the water of Yaquina Bay, this hideaway will be the perfect jumping-off point for exploring everything that Newport has to offer. The main drag of downtown is just over a mile away, where you will find a plethora of local restaurants and shops to explore. Make your way a little further, and you can be on the pristine sand of Nye Beach just two miles from your front door or hike around Yaquina Bay State Recreation Site, also two miles away.

Our Snowy Stay!

Quiet and simple. Just far enough from the Sea Lions to hear them but not be overwhelmed. :) Terrific place.

Nice get away

We found this place to be adequate with a lovely view of the Marina and beyond . It was clean; the bed comfortable but the plastic mattress protector was annoying. Tiny kitchen ok for light feedings. Bathroom in good repair . The steep 3 flights of stairs might be an issue for older folks. The place served it's purpose for us for this trip.

Cute little apt

Cute place. I had no idea I would have to climb up so many stairs to get there. I probably would have kept looking for a ground floor place to rent. But I managed one step at a time. The kitchen faucet is not attached so water sprays and the faucet pops off when you turn the water on! Lamp by the couch is very hard to plug in so I didn’t. Other than that I enjoyed my stay very much

Broken heater made very loud noises, half the light bulbs are burned out, little in the way of decoration, cheap ugly furniture and bedding. Broken blinds impeded the bay view that was so expensive. Not worth the exorbitant add on fees like "cleaning" - just go through the main office for a resort owned room...

Nice views, noisy neighbors

Me and my husband stayed here for two nights, and while the location and view were great, the next door neighbor was blaring their music all night and it sounded like it was in our room, the walls are very thin. Also, the light at the bottom of the stairs did not work, so you had to pray you wouldn’t fall going up the stairs in the dark. The room was clean and had everything we needed. However, the soda machines and ice machines are very scarce, the map says that there are two right by our room, but we couldn’t find any, so we had to drive all the way to town to get water/drinks which was kind of a bummer.

Not the getaway I hoped for…

Was super excited to stay on the bay. Upon arrival had to empty fridge of melting ice bag, and lock the upstairs door that was left unlocked to the outside… then was unable to use the pool/hot tub sauna, as it was closed for the entire month. It was one of the big reason I booked. Looking to rest and unwind, I went to bed, but slept horribly! The bed is rock hard and sooo Uncomfortable. I think I slept more on the couch then the bed over my 3 night stay. Was looking for a relaxing mom getaway and was very very disappointed ☹️

Meh, just okay

I had a good time and seafood while staying in Newport, let's start with that. And it's conveniently located close to the bay front and within walking distance, which was really nice. Looking over previous reviews, this place still needs some minor upkeep that wouldn't take too much like replacing lightbulbs, fixing outlets, and replacing blinds that weren't working well. Also, supplying coffee is still needed and it wouldn't be that hard to add single use coffee packages. Not associated with this place but with VRBO/Vacasa is the company upselling check-out time from 1000 to 2 pm. Come one guys, that's low and you need to move checkout time back to normal times of between 11 am and 1 pm. Checking out at 1000 while on vacation is cruel and unusual treatment!

Back breaking mattress!!!!

When we showed up there were cobwebs in the the corners and the bed was visibly broken, after further inspection the bed frame was broken and a beer can was left under the bed. We had no choice but to remove the bed frame and put the box spring and mattress on the floor. The mattress was very old and you could feel every spring in your back, every morning we woke in agony. Only a few outlets worked and some light bulbs were burnt out. Also the shower head is barely 5 feet tall. Hope everyone reads this and knows what they are in for when staying here.

Could be a lot better with a little effort

No cover for the duvet or pillows provided for the pull-out couch. Duvet had wine and other stains. Needs some inexpensive updates and repairs (shower door, needs new dish/drinkware, three way light switch that doesn't work right, etc). Even though we indicated number of people and days, not enough towels were provided. The "loud toilet" mentioned in other reviews wasn't what I expected of just when water is filling the tank after a flush... It happens when neighbors flush or shower, and it is enough to keep you awake, but probably not quite bad enough to wake you unless you're a light sleeper. Overall, you'll probably find this place acceptable if you're not too picky, but it has the potential to be great with some minor investments. Location, view, and Embarcadaro facilities that you get access to are all great.

We booked through Expedia the room was booked through Expedia’s partner Vrbo. Expedia was the initial company, there is no reason to change who the end user is corresponding with. Not only was Vrbo involved so was Vasaco, a company I had no pervious knowledge was involved. I was receiving email after email, way too many, The name of the booked room had two different names: Expedia; Ideal getaway on the water with private balcony, cozy layout, and free WiFi. Vasaca;Harbor Hideaway. I received more requests for reviews than necessary information. The room: no light in the entire, which was a staircase to the third floor room. Kitchen nook was dysfunctional, no shelves, stacked dishes on microwave is awkward & ugly, oversized cheep coffee maker didn’t fit get a good small one (French press). The bed had a thick noise plastics cover (bag) which made a good bed very hot & uncomfortable. The TV was easy to use but very very small. Couldn’t be used (seen) from the bed.

Beautiful But NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY

This place was Nice, clean, and beautiful view, but ISNT YOUNG CHILD FRIENDLY. We had our 2yo son with us & there is a huge staircase up to the living/sleeping area, & the bed is placed right up to a ledge where a toddler or young child could easily climb right over and it drops to the bottom of the stairs atleast 30 feet down, this would be a deadly fall, We had to move the whole bed ourselves (not an easy task) & had to buy a baby gate ($40) to keep our boy safe. That was a huge disappointment considering this place poped up as a family friendly one & These issues were not described or pictured. But I am still giving 4 stars for the cleanliness, easy access no long check in just a lockbox which is nice, and had all the supplies you need. Including cable & a bluray player. And the porch with the harbor view was amazing. I just feel this should not be listed for families with children under 5 or 6. If it's just Adults, &/Or a family with older children this would be a great place for you.

Super disapointing

This property for what we paid is very disapointing, essentially a really bad bed with a view. The room didnt feel very clean, the main bed is very hard and worn out, the sheets on tbe bed are paper thin, 36 grit sand paper would have been better. When we entered the room it was sweltering hot, the basboard heating with one of the only operational plugs in the room seemed sketchy to us causing our chargers to get very hot in the process. Half the electrical out lets did not work in the room, the kitchenet is a very deciving part of the listing. You will get the same amenities as a hotel. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the neighbors toilet flush and the shower start with very loud pipes. The water never gets very hot in the shower. The check in process is very easy, and the view of the bay is amazing thats about the only positive we have about the room.

Tell your renters about everything that does/ doesn't work.

My husband and I checked into this property on Sunday night ~ 7:30pm. Instantly after a long trip, the first thing anyone wants to do is get their stuff in the room and go use the facilities. I instantly had to pee (#1) and the toilet would not go down at all. I call Vacasa and the redirect me to the local Vacasa maintenance person. The woman tells me she's having her tools and healing over. She gets there, "unclogged" it, and tells me she already knew it wouldn't work the right way (the was a trick to it = holding down the handle for at least a minute). She knew it wouldn't work and there wasn't any sign up. She left after having "fixed" it. These next morning... same thing; I went to the restroom and I did her little trick to flush the toilet.... it instantly overflowed. Called vacasa back again, sent the same woman out again. She re-plunged the toilet and said she'd TRY and get a plumber out. Never heard back for a day. The next day, same thing.... toilet overflowed again, called Vacasa again and said I no longer wanted to deal with this "local handy-woman" anymore. I said either fix this toilet or please move us to a place with a working toilet. I finally got a response Tuesday (within 24 hours we're supposed to leave) saying the new spot would be right above the sea-lions that "bark" all night long. I declined and asked if there were any other locations available. By the time my husband and I finally heard back about other locations, I just said screw it and we stayed at the original location. Long story short.... I wish we were either told about this toilet/ plumbing issue when we reserved the location.... or were moved to a new location the first night when we were told they knew there was a problem already.

Stay in Newport

Adequate. The water noise-toilet and shower from the condo next door-was so loud we couldn't hear the TV. It woke my wife up in the morning, too. There was a coffeepot but no coffee or even coffee mugs. The freezer was full of frost so our ice cream barely fit and it was soft the next day. The unit needs to be given some TLC and updating-blinds were broken.

The view was perfect

The room is basic, bed very firm. No coffee in the room is a downer, a .8 mile walk for food and fun is not too bad. The place is decent, but not fancy or high end by any means. A furniture upgrade, coffee in the room, carpet clean or plank flooring and working light bulbs would make this place perfect.

The view, hot tubs and pool are to die for

Loved listening to the sea lions all day and night and enjoying the view from the balcony, couldn't get enough of the hot tubs sadly didn't get the chance to enjoy the sauna but we will definitely be back! Only complaints were bed was pretty hard
