IMPORTANT:

Please remember this is our family cabin and not a hotel. We have taken great pride in providing you with a nice, comfortable place to stay, and ask that you treat our cabin with respect.

Due to the mountain location we do not have a yard.

While we welcome families with small children, please note that the house is not child proof. We do provide a high chair and pack n play for your use.

Our cabin is pet friendly! We allow dogs as long as they are at least 1 year old and well trained. We do not allow cats or other pets. There is a pet fee of $100 for up to 2 dogs and $50 per additional dog.

Guests have access to the entire property besides a small owner's closet.

We do not stay on site, however we are available by phone or on the platform for any needs.

We are on the mountain just off the parkway or Spur as the locals call it in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It is a dead end road with only handful of cabins so very private neighborhood.

Parking at the cabin is simple with a freshly paved driveway (2 spaces) and 1 up on the street if needed. Tip for traveling to Gatlinburg where traffic can heavy and parking is $10-$20, if you park at the Gatlinburg Visitor Center and take the trolley into town it is free. You can walk through Gatlinburg and explore then take the trolley back to the visitor center.

Please note that you will be asked to sign a rental agreement as part of our booking process

Secluded and convenient
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary on the last weekend of September and had a great time at this place! The cabin is almost completely surrounded by woods and neighboring cabins are obscured from view making you feel as if you have the woods all to yourself! It is conveniently located between PF and Gatlinburg and an easy drive to either place or the entrance of the Smokies. The cabin was very clean and we appreciated allowing our 10 yr old dog being able to join us...she enjoyed the rug by the fireplace :) The only small complaint we had (which the hosts have no control over at all so should not reflect on them): we apparently chose to visit during a car expo weekend and were surprised to find out that the noisy cars with backfiring tailpipes drove up and down the strip ALL NIGHT LONG and could be heard from the cabin and basically anywhere you went in either town. We were surprised that this is not curtailed by local noise ordinances and allowed but I suppose the noisy folks bring tourist money to the town, too. In the future when traveling, I will definitely check the calendar to see if our visit coincides with another car expo weekend. Otherwise, I would happily stay here again and recommend to others! Thank you!!

Great location
Can't beat the location. Perfect spot between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Paved Mtn road up to a gravel drive for a short distance. Parking area at the house is paved. Parking large enough for a truck.

Bear Country!
Such a great cabin. Make sure you check the weather. The rain is quite loud on the tin roof lol but otherwise it was a perfect getaway. We also got to see bears which was a first for us :) Nicole was very helpful. Will definitely rent again!

Top Tier Cabin
The cabin was truly amazing. Perfect size for our small family and 2 dogs. Couldn’t believe how clean the place was inside and out. The owners responded to even the tiniest issues immediately (grill wouldn’t ignite) and TALKED me through it. Nothing I loved more was the seclusion and feeling like it’s was our home away from home. The cabin’s locations was smacked dab in the middle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Hot tub, Movie Theater/Game room area was incredible and was frequently used after doing tourist things. Loved every bit of the cabin and looking forward to booking it in the future. Thank You to the owners for setting the bar on how a cabin is supposed to look and feel. Truly made our vacation unforgettable. Thank you again!!!

One week get away for our anniversary.
This was exactly what we needed and what we wanted. The cabin is up off the beaten path, more secluded than many others and the location is centrally located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge/Sevierville. Just a short drive away and you are in the Smokey Mountains National Park which is where we spent a good deal of time. Sitting out on the deck, there is some road noise at times from the main road that is down by the river below the cabin but nothing that would keep us from coming back. The hot tube was perfect and located inside the screened in portion of the deck and was one of our stay requirements. We used it every day and it was great! There was a king/queen and pull out sofa bed but since it was just two of us, way more than we needed. We stayed for one week and plan to be back.

About the host

Hosted by Nicole Schroeder

Host profile image
We are the Schroeder family and we have been traveling full-time since September of 2017. We started out traveling exclusively in our rv, but fell in love with short term rentals when we explored Europe in 2019. We have been to all 50 states and over 10 countries as we seek to learn more about the diversity that makes each place unique and special. This cabin is a family passion. We are teaching our children about construction, basic repairs, budgeting, hospitality, compassion, and loving others well. They are involved in this property and we hope that they will grow to love hosting as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We have been all across the country in our travels and found that we kept coming back to the Smoky Mountains because we love the area so much. Staying in a log cabin nestled among the trees on the mountain side gives us peace. This is where we come to take a rest and reset. The hot tub and the theater/game room are our favorites. This is where priceless memories are made and we wanted to offer that to others when we were out exploring.

What makes this property unique

The location of this property is something that we love. You are in the middle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg so there is easy access to both. If you are exploring both in a day you can go one way, stop for lunch or a nap, and then proceed to the other city.

The vintage theater seats and big screen tv are also a bonus.

Previous guests have mentioned sitting on the porch drinking coffee and seeing bear down below.

This cabin is authentic with a great location.
