On chilly evenings, switch on the gas fireplace to keep cozy and chat with a loved one on the sofa. You can read a captivating book or tap into the high speed Wi-Fi for a browse on the web.
The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, pots and pans, and dishes so you can easily cook on vacation, and the dining area doubles as a work or homeschooling space. When it's time to sleep, hit the hay in a mix of 1 king, 4 queens, 1 queen bunk, 1 queen sleeper sofa, and 1 twin daybed with a trundle. The location on the lake is nice for families. Unfortunately, the house was not very clean. Spider webs in windows and in the couch. Dishwasher does not work properly. Stove did not function correctly. Dishes in the cabinet were not clean. We did find a couple of roaches. Air conditioners did not work properly. We had an alarm going off on the ac unit, as the condensation line was clogged. attempted to contact the emergency number as it was after hours. However, we did not get a call back that night.

It’s upsetting to hear that cleanliness and maintenance weren’t at the level they should’ve been, especially when you were hoping to enjoy a lakeside getaway. The spider webs, dirty dishes, and pests are absolutely unacceptable, and we sincerely apologize.
The issues with the dishwasher, stove, and AC unit also should never have happened, and we regret that they created even more frustration. We wish we had known about all of these concerns during your stay so we could’ve worked to make things right while you were still there. Not receiving a call back after reaching out to the emergency number is particularly disappointing, and we’re addressing that failure directly with our team.
Your detailed feedback is already being used to guide improvements to both housekeeping and maintenance checks. It’s really unfortunate that this was the impression you were left with. We’re truly sorry this was your experience and regret that your family’s time at the lake didn’t feel as smooth or relaxing as it should have.

Last minute property swap
2 days before we arrived, Cabins for you emailed saying our rental was closed for repairs. We did not get to stay at Smokey Mountain Lake retreat. They had no other waterfront properties so they put us in one up in the mountains, 40 minutes from the lake. We’re not very happy. Cabins for you manages these properties, but is unable to answer specific questions, I.e. is it a Keurig or regular coffee machine.

Cabin
Location was nice for the cabin, however, was not very clean. Linens were soiled and floors turned your feet black. Unfortunately, The property needs an exterminator and maintenance inside and out. Game room has many things that need to be fixed that do not work. Lower plate rack, and dishwasher Keeps popping out when you load it needs repaired as well

Very Disappointed
I have been a frequest VRBO customer for years. This experience makes me think twice about the future and will never stay in property managed by CabinsForYou.
Major problems
1. 2nd floor AC didn't work well at all - used fan for circulation first few days and weather cooled after that so OK.
2. Downstairs fridge started dripping water night 1. Discovered freezer was frozen with a block of ice which we had to remove and then defrost. Couldn't use that way.
3. Driveway needs full pavement; drop off (very steep) when transitioning from blacktop to stone made it difficult to enter or exit without excessive maneuvering to avoid scraping car bottom and throwing stones everywhere.
4. The floating dock was partially grounded on land at house end making it sloped and unstable.
I called CabinsForYou mid-week to report these items and more. Asked that they not disrupt the remainder of our week by showing up while we were there to fix everything. Was surprised to learn they would offer no consideration if not given the ability to remedy. They would not provide email or phone contact info for owners either.
I also asked CFY for checkout instructions and they said they would email. Never received.
Other items:
1. Daybed (trundle) is sunken in the middle and past its useful life in my opinion. Same for queen in Bedroom 2 (VRBO site)
2. bedrooms numbered differently on VRBO as compared to CFY and the bed sizes were different too.
