Girl's Week-end

The stay was great. Very clean and inviting. The downtown has a lot to offer. The location of the property is perfect for walking to everything. The only suggestion I would offer is for safety; the hallway where you enter the apartment needs to be well lit. The light fixture needs either the bulbs changed or another bulb. It's difficult to see what you are doing when you are trying to get into the property. This is not necessarily for the owner to worry about but the property is located across from a parking garage (which is great) unless someone's car alarm goes off at 2:45 in the morning. That was rough. All in all our stay was really good!! Staunton doesn't get enough credit for being a great small town with lots to offer.

Wonderful girls weekend!

The property was extremely clean and cozy. The AC worked well. Water pressure was awesome. The property was smack in the middle of everything downtown, amd we did not have to drive anywhere. Everyone was SO friendly and gave excellent places to check out. The farmers market saturday morning was the perfect place to kick off the weekend. Highly highly recommend and will be back!!!!

Even better than the pictures!

I was looking for a different option in Staunton for a weekend wedding, and this location fit my needs. What was surprising was how much nicer it was than I expected. It appeared to be newly remodeled; the mattresses and textiles were all great, the kitchen complete for making meals in when needed. Absolutely recommend the property and the owner!

Cute apartment over a loud business

The apartment was very cute and clean. The bed was super comfortable and most everything was provided that was needed for a nice getaway. The bakery below the apartment tended to play music starting around 4:30am. On our last day it started at 3:30am and was much louder than the other mornings. Because of that I wouldn’t stay here again. There was also no hairdryer and the Wi-Fi given wasn’t an option so no Wi-Fi either. The actual apartment was VERY nice and well stocked. It’s a shame that our experience wasn't good because of the business below it.

Good home away from home

This was the second time my friend and I stayed in this apartment and we are planning another Staunton visit in the Fall. It is so convenient to good restaurants and little shops.

Easter Sunday

Fabulous weekend taking in a show at the Shakespearian Thearter, Easter service at Trinity Episcopal Church, and wonderful shopping at the Farmer's Market and up/down Beverley Street. The 2-bedroom apartment was well stocked and perfect for two friends as there were two bedrooms and two baths. Best of all, the apartment was the perfect location as we parked our car when we arrived and never drove it until we left. Everything was in walking distance - only way to do it in this cute quaint town. Thank you so much for providing such a great place to stay.

Perfect location

Stayed for a weekend. Apartment is directly above a bakery (stairs only) and is exactly as described. Parking is either on the street or in the parking garage across the street (free on the weekend). Visitor’s center is directly across the street as is a small grocery store which had a nice quick breakfast. The farmer’s market is within walking distance as is the playhouse, university and the presidential museum. Tons of stores and restaurants around the corner. My husband loved the cigar lounge on the next street. Everything is within walking distance of this apartment including the winery. If you are a light sleeper, you will hear traffic as well as people walking and talking. Also heard trains. But then again you are in downtown! This is a beautiful apartment in a great location and I would stay here again if we come back into town.

Perfect apartment for stay in Staunton

This two-bedroom apartment was perfect for our stay in Staunton. It was right in town, within walkable distance of everything. The apartment itself was immaculate, and everything about it was well appointed - nice furniture, good lighting, well stocked kitchen area. We enjoyed the good cafe that was at the bottom of the stairs. We especially appreciated how close the apartment was to the American Shakespeare Theatre. And of course it was delightful to be in town in the autumn. We hope to be back!

Comfortable place in a great location

The property was just as described. It was newly-renovated, fresh and clean with plenty of room for 2 people. Ample storage, lighting, and kitchen gear. A small non-stick frypan for morning eggs would be nice to have, but other than that kitchen was well-supplied. It is a perfect location for exploring the historic district of Staunton, walking distance to the WW Presidential library and many fine restaurants and shops.

Great space for extended weekend

The place was very comfortable. Great location in Staunton. Really good linens. Comfortable eds and furniture. Well equipped kitchen and even had a laundry. Highly recommend this! Owner was very responsive to questions.

Second time…

We stayed here in August 2021 and again in August 2022 to attend the Staunton Music Festival…10 days of amazing classical music. We could walk to all venues…perfect location…great place to stay. Warning for seniors. (At 81 and 75 we qualify). ..21 steps straight up to a lovely apartment. Look forward to returning

Lovely downtown apartment

My friend and I thought this place was just perfect. It's spacious and very comfortable. We also liked the close proximity to restaurants and enjoyed great breakfasts at the Cranberry Market and Eatery, conveniently located across the street. It was easy to give this rental five stars.

Great two bedroom apartment conveniently located

We really enjoyed our stay and loved that we could walk back and forth to the apartment in between activities. The apartment is very clean and has great air circulation. It was also nice to have a laundry machine as we needed it a coue of times. Our host was very responsive and attentive. We were always welcomed with cold water in the fridge 🙂!

Ideal location and good amenities

We enjoyed our stay as a party of three. The beds are very comfortable, the apartment is clean and nicely decorated. The goods from La Reunion bakery get your day started on the right foot. The location is excellent, in particular when attending the Heifetz Series of concerts or a Shakespeare play. Dining is around the corner as well.

Great place in downtown Staunton

This is a delightful, very clean and roomy lodging choice in the heart of downtown Staunton. Modern styling and attractive high ceilings. Extremely easy walking distance to the American Shakespeare Theatre, Woodrow Wilson Museum, Mary Baldwin University, local shops and restaurants. It is important to note that it is upstairs (no elevator) so that should be taken into consideration . The property manager is very gracious and responsive. Highly recommend!!

Fabulous cozy apartment in downtown Staunton

We spent a week here for our wedding anniversary. The location can’t be beat - across the street from the visitor center, above a bakery, and an easy walk to all the awesome downtown activities. The apartment itself was super comfortable - temperpedic mattresses, fluffy pillows, two bathrooms with showers that have great water pressure!!! We went to the Farmer’s Market right after we got in and made a couple of meals in the kitchen, which had a great selection of pots/pans and dishes. The washer and dryer were also a great resource - especially after we got caught in the rain one afternoon. We had a fabulous time and would definitely stay here again.

A GREAT Graduation weekend stay!

This property turned out to be a PERFECT alternative, after searching almost a year in advance, for a hotel in Harrisonburg for our son’s JMU graduation weekend. We found this property to be exactly as shown, actually, even better than the pictures in the advertisement! I am a “clean freak” and for the first time, even I, was comfortable enough to not mind at all walking around barefoot! The property owner promptly responded to any online inquiries I made before and during our stay which was very comforting to learn since this was our first time renting through Vrbo. The apartment is so fully stocked - he seemed to think of everything! While, I packed my own coffee and creamer, he had that too already in the cabinet. Our stay here was more than perfect and very much felt like “home” quickly. To our delight, we found a wonderful shop across the street just a few doors down, “Cranberry’s Grocery & Eatery” where we had a delicious breakfast each morning! We would highly recommend this property, this property owner and this neighborhood for; responsiveness, pride of property, cleanliness & comfort, safety and friendliness of everyone we met during our stay Staunton. We would easily make a repeat booking right here in the future. Thank you for a beautiful stay!

Weekend in Staunton

I stayed at this charming apartment with my small Havenese while attending my late husband’s 55th Staunton Military Academy Class Reunion with his classmates. The apartment was perfect. Well-stocked, comfortable beds, and lovely decor. Situated above Reunion Bakery, where one can find a superb latte and delicious croissants and quiches, it was easy for me to get to campus, restaurants, shops, etc. The owner was quite helpful and easy to communicate with when I had one small bump in the road.

Location, location, location

The apartment was very clean and, though small, spacious enough for 2-3 people. Beds and living room furniture were comfortable for sleeping and relaxing. Kitchen area well-equipped for preparing simple meals and for eating in. Within a short walk to several good restaurants and boutique shops. The bakery downstairs is awesome, but only open Friday, Saturday, Sunday during our stay. (Maybe they have more hours in the summer season?) Highly recommend the almond croissant! The property management responded to questions promptly and professionally. 5 stars.
