The bad: no obvious lake access, 2 bathroom doors won’t lock, one toilet was broken before our arrival and was out of commission for the entire stay. lack of timely usable feedback from host: didn’t get guidance on which parts of the lake were accessible to us until the evening before our departure.

Perfect place for a group of lifelong friends to celebrate their 40th birthday. Check-in was a breeze and the property included everything that was in the description. I would highly recommend this property.

Cozy, spacious and beautiful

Communication with property manager was clear, timely and friendly. Chalet was exactly as described and more beautiful and cozy than expected. Perfect for our large family to celebrate the holidays.

The house itself is beautiful. I suggest new bedding. The sheets and some pillows were stained. Sofas also had large tears

Great chalet experience!

Executive Dbl 26 is a gorgeous chalet with plenty to do inside. The only upgrade needed in my opinion is ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms, but it wouldn’t deter me from going! Lake is not very close and there is not much to do on the grounds. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway where you just enjoy the pool/hot tub/sauna, then this place is perfect! Communication with the property manager was super easy and they were incredibly responsive. Overall, it is a great place for a large gathering!

Multi-Generational Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at Fiddler Lake - the heated pool was great! It was really nice to have the Hot tub and Sauna too for the cooler days. The large living room, kitchen and dining area worked well for the number of people (10) we had. Even with a walker my mother was able to navigate the main floor just fine. She could also use her Rollator walker on the driveway and around to the back pool area to join in the action there. For cleanliness I put 4 stars as everything was really good except for the floor - we did not wear our outdoor shoes in the house as requested but I recommend wearing slippers or indoor shoes as the socks got dirty pretty quick on that floor. All in all a great stay! Thanks!

Disappointing

I can’t honestly say say we enjoyed our stay and there are several reasons. On arrival, we discovered a green hot tub which never really got perfectly clear during our stay. The sauna had a dirty glass in it and old dried up leaves; not exactly clean in these days of COVID. There was no outside fire pit as advertised and if we hadn’t inquired about one, we probably would not have received one. There was a wasp nest in the hot tub and four of us were stung before it was taken care of. There were red ants crawling around on the cement stones and it took two days to get rid of them. A gentleman arrived to check the pool and told us we would be charged an extra fee for turning up the heat. There was apparently supposed to be a book in the house with rules but was not there. He was arguing with us in front of the children. This could have been discussed by email or on the phone. Inside the house the air conditioner was dripping so badly, we had to put a large bowl under the drip and empty it several times a day. It was running down the picture on the wall which had to be removed. It took 3 trips to have it repaired. The washing machine was so loud we couldn’t put it on while the kids were sleeping because it would wake them. That took several trips to fix. The plug in the kitchen sink was missing a piece and there was only one and it wouldn’t hold water. There were not enough forks for everyone to have one. We had inquired about a blender and was told there was one there. It was broken. It leaks. The free Wifi that you advertised was practically non existent. There were several light bulbs missing and lights that didn’t work around the house. There was a flood in the little utility room off the kitchen and the water leaked under the door and into the kitchen. We had to mop it up and it smelled like sewage. Looked like the room was under construction. To make matters worse we lost our water from about 6:00 pm our last evening so no baths, showers, no working dishwasher, no flushing the toilet and no washing dishes. That wouldn’t have been so bad had it not been for everything else. Given what we paid for the week, these problems are unacceptable, and in light of all this I would like to know what kind of refund you are going to offer me. I look forward to hearing from you. Great time staying at this cottage

My friends and I stayed at this cottage to celebrate my bachelor party. A few weeks before our stay, I had checked the listing and was worried by the one negative review that was listed (by Janice C.). I reached out to the property owners and they assured me that they had come a long way from the issues she faced. I can honestly say that they met and exceeded all of our expectations. We didn't face any of the issues that she faced and want to assure any future potential renters that they will have a great stay here. In particular, I really liked the speed at which Megan and her team would answer any questions I had and address any concerns I had. Would love to stay here again!
