Boasting beautiful mountain views, rustic decor, and plenty of room for everyone to spread out, you will have no trouble getting into the vacation mindset. Start each day the right way with a pot of coffee brewing in the full kitchen as you whip up a tasty meal to fuel up for a full day of fun. Fresh air won't be hard to find with the private balcony, so bring your evening glass of wine out as the colors of the sunset reflect against the peaks. When the stars come out, the living area features a wood-burning fireplace, two sofas, and a flatscreen TV to cozy up and enjoy favorite movies before hitting the hay. Don't worry about dirty ski gear either, as a private washer and dryer are available for your convenience.

Skiing is definitely the main draw here at Purgatory Perch, as you will have a free shuttle that will bring you to the slopes in no time at Purgatory Resort, just two miles south. Come summer, hiking and biking will be a great way to soak up the sunshine and fresh mountain air. When you need to grab a few groceries or want to check out the local shops and restaurants in the area, downtown Durango is 27 miles south! Be sure to check out Pinkerton Hot Springs on your way!

Four of us had a great time skiing at Purgatory and taking in the fun at Snowdown in Durango. This condo is very clean with beautiful views and conveniently located to the slopes.

Enjoyed our stay at Cascade Village

Overall, we love staying at Cascade Village due to its proximity to Purgatory, overall amenities and how quiet the facility generally is. We were sad that The Lift Restaurant had closed, but Old Schoolhouse Cafe was great. The cleanliness of our unit was lacking and that’s our only real complaint.

Amazing condo

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! Chris was very quick to respond and help with any questions we had. This place is 100% family friendly, we had a 8 month old all the way to a 65year old and every person wants to come back next year! I’d have to say that my husband and I were in awe with the Mountain View from out bedroom! Thanks again Chris! One big family from Texas!

Great Experience - Perfect location for Skiing or Site Seeing

Excellent! Prefect for our family of 5. My husband took the kids skiing each day; I don't ski - went adventuring to Mesa Verde (~hour drive), Silverton, Ouray, and Durango. Great wifi and streaming options; good amenities; amazing views; pool/hot tub a very short walk; sledding hill right outside the entrance; everything needed for preparing good meals in the kitchen. Communication and process were smooth - east to find, easy to access, straight forward checkout. Would recommend to anyone. One odd thing: no grill - might just be that way for winter.

Pros: Place was clean, plenty big and loved the amenities. Cons:very dark-mostly lit with lamps. Definitely could’ve done better with communication-they did frequently message I just didn’t realize they weren’t very detailed about which unit it was until we were there and had no service. I text and called because I wasn’t sure which would work with my limited service and they gave me two different answers. Took almost an hour to find the right place and get in. Then when we got it there were no shuttle schedules listed anywhere and the code we were given to the pool was incorrect

Healthy Comfortable Stay

Overall a great experience. Updated Condo in Cascade Village. Very clean. Warm and hospitable. Easy access to Purgatory Ski Mountain. Comfortable beds. Plenty of kitchen utensils. 2 large TV’s (but it’s almost impossible to have both of them on at the same time and be able to listen to each of them. The 2nd is in the loft, which is just above the Living Room). Garage is great in winter time (but it’s not an enclosed garage…more like a carport) Few things we would have liked- *firewood they provide wouldn’t burn long term. We don’t know why. Bring your fire starters. But even those don’t help. Much. *water in shower of upstairs guest room was lukewarm at best. Never got hot. *no local channels. (But they have a Roku TV) You will enjoy this property. Plenty of room for 8 adults. Great property.

Great value, very convenient

Overall the location was fantastic. Very close to Purgatory ski resort (maybe 1.5 miles), the pool and hot tub were great, and it was only about a 25 minute drive to Durango. Only suggestion is that listing indicated there was a grill on the balcony of the unit, but discovered upon arrival grills are removed during the winter months. There was a grill at the clubhouse in Cascade Village that worked just fine, but feel like the listing needs to reflect a unit grill is not available during winter months. Overall, very convenient for a ski vacation and would rent again. Appreciated the communication with the owners.

Not Purgatory 😊

Our group enjoyed the location and natural beauty in the area just north of the ski resort. The layout of the unit and dedicated parking for 2 was a plus for us. Our only negatives: the unit smelled a bit smoky or stuffy when we arrived (that we aired out) and the unit was never as bright and airy as it looked in the photos.

Father's Day Fun

The property was as described. My family and I really enjoyed the time we spent here. We did a lot of outdoor activities and it was nice to come back to a clean, roomy and cozy place. The kids loved the bunk beds and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out.

Perfect Getaway

Plenty of room for the whole family! Perfect location- at the ski resort, but still close to Durango conveniences. (Instacart delivers for those who don't want to deal with shopping :)). Well stocked home. Will be back!
