This was our 3rd year here and just love it. Quiet, gorgeous views just an interesting place. Cupboards full of incidentals if you forgot a small item. Lots of cutlery and cooking items. Running out of different places to eat at in Durango. lol. & after trying 4 diff pizza places haven’t found one that was more than meh. Would love to have a tv in the 2nd bedroom on 1st floor.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "lodge"! The hosts and caretaker were very welcoming and helpful. The log home is absolutely beautiful, and it provided everything we needed to enjoy a wonderful vacation with our family. The large kitchen was a big plus... We had enough room for everyone to help with the cooking! We enjoyed fishing on the lake, dips in the hot tub and taking walks that provided amazing views! We definitely recommend this house and hope to come back next year.

Our stay at this property was outstanding! The hosts were amazing and Joe went above and beyond to help us get settled and answer every question that we had. We came in after dark the first night and our Maps app was having difficulty locating the house based on the address (it directed us to the beginning of the property line, rather than to where the actual house is situated). Joe contacted us immediately and kindly talked us through clear directions to the house, entry procedures, and everything we needed to know to get settled quickly. The house was such a great setup for our family. My kids really enjoyed the loft area and found the pull out sofa to be far more comfortable than expected (since the ones found in hotels are never the coveted bed choice). We had everything we needed during our stay--plenty of towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, etc. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware too. The fireplace provided such a cozy ambiance for the cabin, and the heated floors in the bathrooms were a fabulous bonus too!We skied at Purgatory during our stay and it was great being located so close to the resort. It took only a few minutes from leaving the house to parking at the resort. Just as the listing photos indicate, the views from the VRBO are just breathtaking! We are very much looking forward to returning to this property again, during both the summer and winter months. Thanks again for everything Joe and Marcia!!

We utilized this mountain home in the summer to be close to some of the San Juan mountain bike trails and nice and cool temps, away from the warmer weather and business of Durango. The home was quite accommodating four our group of four. A large kitchen with an incredible view of the lake convinced us to eat most of our meals in. Also, we were delighted to find a couple of fun restaurants nearby, as well as a convenience store to refresh some supplies. In the evenings we often sat on the deck or relaxed in the comfort of the hot tub. The home was clean and spacious, and the owners were in contact with us to make sure everything was great, and it was! A delightful stay that went by all too fast.

Spring Break Stay

We loved our stay at this cabin! Lots of room to spread out and very close to Purgatory for skiing. This was our second stay here, and I’m a little sad that it is already fully booked in July or we would come back this summer. Thank you for another fantastic stay!

Beautiful, conveniently located setting

Our family had the best time… the views are incredible, and the house is so thoughtfully appointed! We really enjoyed spending time on the deck and soaking in the hot tub after skiing just across the way! We will definitely be back!

Awesome week end for skiing

The house was bigger and better than we thought, very close to Purgatory ski resort less than 5 min from it, balcony with amazing lake view and Jacuzzi , I recommended 100% and I would like to use it again

Peaceful Stay
