My family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during our recent visit.

  • 4 of 5

My family recently stayed at this property to find it clean & comfortable. It felt as if we were staying in one of our own homes. Our party consisted of 9 adults for 3 days. It was comfortable for our group at this duration, with places to go for groceries or dining close by. I would certainly recommend this property with very nice views as a place to gather or get away. It is my opinion we were at the limit as far as the number of people to stay comfortably. I had read in some other reviews that the cabins decor was dated. I think that reviewer was being critical of what we found to be charming, comfortable and clean. I asked all in our party if they had any negatives for me to list here, ultimately that was no. We would certainly recommend a visit.

Tranquility

  • 5 of 5

-My family and I spend 4 beautiful days in this scenic log cabin. It had more than enough room to house all my brothers and spouses along with my sisters and their spouses. The first night we sat out in the rocking chair enjoying the peace and quiet. It then turned colder for the weekend but didn't deter us from exploring the country side and by Monday, sun was out, warmer weather so we took in a few tourist attractions in Chattanooga, Tenn. All in all, it was a very nice place to spend time with your love ones.

This home welcomes families!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cabin! It was perfect for our 3 generation vacation. Marty & Teri thought of EVERYTHING to make our stay comfortable and inviting. Tons of games, full size game tables downstairs, very comfortable beds, etc. The kitchen was stocked better than mine at home, and we loved using all the cookware, and grilling on the gas grill. The back porch has a fantastic view of the mtns. and it was so peaceful and quiet. Everything was exactly as described, except better in person. This home is loved and has the most welcoming atmosphere! We highly recommend it, and plan to return for our next vacation!

Amazing Views and Cozy Feeling!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at this cabin for my husbands birthday and it was amazing! The cabin definitely had a cozy, warm feeling. There is an awesome view on the back porch to sit and drink your morning coffee or relax in the hot tub! We enjoyed the game room downstairs with air hockey and pool. There is also a hiking trail that leads to a creek; the guys enjoyed some fishing! This cabin had everything we needed! It was a fun and family friendly trip! Also, the town is only a couple miles away! Chattanooga is about 25 miles away but it was such a short drive to get to Ruby Falls! We will definitely be looking into renting this cabin again!

Great Weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was a great getaway for three families including children. The kids enjoyed having the downstairs essentially to themselves complete with games, pool, air hockey, and videos. The adults definitely appreciated a great porch and hot tub to enjoy the outdoors and mountain view. Having a bonfire at night was a definite bonus. Both the kids and adults took advantage of the walking trails and fishing in the creek located on the property. The location is not far from all the activities offered in Chatanooga. On a side note, the property manager is fantastic as she went out of her way to address a couple issues and ensure we were comfortable. Moreover, the owners' desire for all to have a great stay is apparent and exceeded expectations by graciously returning articles inadvertently left behind.

Enjoyable stay!

  • 4 of 5

August, 2017. Enjoyed our week's stay! The owners were kind and quickly responded to questions we had prior to, during, and after our stay when we realized we left some important items behind. The cabin had ample sleeping space for our family of 9 adults and 3 toddlers. Loved the back deck with plenty of rockers/chairs to enjoy the scenery. The deck wraps around the side and front too! Master bedroom has a walk out deck. We ended up not having time to use the hot tub on the main deck, but that was there too! The kitchen is wonderfully supplied... only place we've rented that had cast iron pans and good pots! We used the grill on the deck as well. The owner has supplied many board games for adults and children, not to mention the billiard, foosball, and air hockey tables. A/C is a must for me when in the south, and the 2 units worked great! My husband and I stayed in the master suite, which has a big bathroom, with big walk in shower and whirlpool tub. TV's are in some of the bedrooms...esp. enjoyed the big one in the family room. The place was clean and well maintained. Do heed their rules on the deck regarding animals ... keep garbage cans secured with the bungee cords, which we did. However, one night we left a child's car seat on the front deck. There were cracker crumbs in the seat and an animal came that night trying to get every crumb it could, ripping out some of the car seat stuffing. Fortunately the seat wasn't totally ruined, but we learned our lesson. Also, regarding young children... you may want to bring a baby gate so little ones don't use the spiral staircase going to the lower level. It's a bit steep and you might not want little ones using it on their own. However, our 3 and 4 year old quickly got used to it, and had no problems. Could be difficult for senior citizens, but they wouldn't have to use these stairs at all if they sleep in the main floor bedroom or loft or master bedroom. But you can get around using this staircase by using the separate lower level entrance, if needed. We used this entrance often, which was great for those staying in the downstairs bedrooms, bringing in their suite cases, etc. or if someone wanted to go downstairs but did not want to use the spiral staircase. We enjoyed the country atmosphere but were not very far from Chattanooga and other areas where we found fun things to do and good places to eat! Grocery shopping and other stores are pretty close by.
