Great Condo at the beach!!

My family and I had a great time at this condo. It was beautiful, clean, convenient and had the most beautiful view. The building was a little old, but you can tell they’re renovating it. We will definitely stay there again.

First time condo renters

Perfect view, great pricing, awesome neighborhood. Other than the dirty dish in the microwave and left over/drinks in the fridge, the place was pretty clean and was perfect for our family.

Edgewater 1203

Condo was nice and in a great location. Loved being able to just walk out to the beach and not have to walk across the street to get to it. Lots of food and shops around the condo.

Great location, clean, check-in check-out was great!!!

Overall it was an excellent stay. The only thing is we felt like we were being watched the whole stay. The HOA talked to us in our room through a speaker, it's not a kid or teen-friendly condo. This place feels like a 55 and older condo.

Great Condo! We will be back

Everything worked great, Smart TVs made for easy streaming. Location close to great restaurants, grocery store and outlet shopping. Huge Beautiful Private Beach, Managment company communicated multiple times, very easy to get all gate and door code information. Our condo was clean & very nice. We will Book Again!

Nice place

I love the place I stayed in. The only thing I did not like is that owner would not let us use their beach chairs and umbrella. Some of the owners at Edge Water let the guest use their beach chairs, so I will be picking a Edge Water property that includes beach chairs and a umbrella when I come back next year. I love the pool and beach is beautiful and clear!

Great Condo

This is a great condo. The location is great aswell. It is about 20 minutes to down town Destin and 20 minutes to 30A. Great restraunts both directions. I read the past reviews before booking it and the only complaint was the TV's. The TV's worked fine. You just have to know how to use the input botton on the TV remote to get to cable or Nexflix, Prime, etc. Overall a great condo with a great view. I would stay there again.

Edgewater review

Property is nice and fairly well maintained. The pool areas are especially nice, and the cabana offering food and drinks is great. Beach is pristine. The entrance gate leaves a bit to be desired, as you have to contact the operator or security guard (depending on the time of day) for each entrance. Also, elevator access is quite disappointing in the quality/wait times required with only 2 elevators serving 180+ rooms. One last gripe: Beach chair/umbrella service was not included, so be aware. But overall, a very pleasant stay.

good condo, bad tvs

Great location and a very nice condo. The TVs (3) were a problem. No instructions, had to call and get an AV person to come over. They could not figure it out, so 1 tv worked fine, 1 worked but not well, and 1 did not work at all.

Terrible Experience with Host and VRBO

Do not stay here, we had a leak on the ceiling on main bedroom for two days and carpet and floor got all wet. I asked to be changed to another room and was denied because "this is not a catastrophic incident". They fixed the problem for two condos above where the problem was, maintenance came and peeled the roof. Bedroom smelled bad because of the carpet. Never could get a hold of the hst, and Ocean Reef just said they would not do any type of refund, and Vrbo just never did anything to enforce it. First and last time using both

Beautiful modern condo

We had one couple and one adult child. 2 BR/2 BA was perfect. Very beautiful decor/furnishings. Modern/updated appliances and fixtures in kitchen and baths. Very well stocked. With only 3 people we had lots and lots of towels. Plenty of trash bags for us. Only 2 mild complaints. No calling fans, 1 box fan. It’s too hot/humid there for no fans. And access to the property was spotty. You don’t get a code to let yourself in. Either someone is in the gate and makes contact each time or you dial in a phone number that may not be answered and you sit at the gate. I left on foot once and came back to no one at the gate and no answer. Luckily the front building was open at that hour and I had to carry my groceries around and through the building. Idk what I would’ve done if it was closed for the night. Overall very pleased and rebooking. Our booking did not include beach umbrella service, but it was okay.

Television issues, rude office staff, unable to use personal beach umbrella, canopy

The property was nice. Multiple day problems with television over 9 days. Made 3 phone calls (first call never got responded to) security officer came after the 2nd call but could only get utube tv, Retta came after 3rd call and was able to fix problem. She even came back the next am to make sure everything was working. Video explaining what you should bring needs to be updated. The unit had a crock pot, Keurig, and a hair dryer which we could have left at home. Guests need to be notified that you can not use personal umbrella, canopy or tent. That leads to a several hundred dollar expense for your stay if you want shade on the beach. On day 9 the office would not open the gate, we had been coming and going everyday with no issues. I was told to park and come into the office. The man at the desk was very rude. He said I should have been signing in daily. I told him we had been there 9 days and didn't know anything about it. He said, in a rude and unprofessional manner, there is a guest register that needs to signed daily. On the following days when I went in to sign the staff never even spoke.

This was a fantastic property and we would definitely stay here again. Our only issue was upon arrival. It was a gated community and the expectation upon arrival was confusing. We weren’t sure the code we received was for the gate or the condo. The instructions are on the speaker at the gate which states to dial 0000 before 6:00pm and 0001 after 6:00 pm. However, it wasn’t clear in the initial instructions what the code given was actually for. No one is at the guard shack 98% of the time. I walked up and heard him explain the instructions to another guest. Once that was cleared up, no issues whatsoever. The guest bathroom tub and shower would be difficult for someone with mobility issues to use. Just sharing this as an FYI. It was not an issue for me. Also, the guest bedroom has a queen bed and then bunk beds. It worked for the 3 of us on a girls trip as one guest chose to sleep in the living room. The view was fantastic and I thought it was easy access to the pools and beach. We would definitely stay here again.
