About the Property

Enjoy spectacular views of the Blue Pacific from this 35th floor unit Waikiki Banyan Tower II condo. Our unit has ocean views (from living room, bedroom and balcony), probably the best at the Waikiki Banyan (and the our annual property tax bill seems to confirm it), of both the Golf Coast and Canoe and Queen’s surf breaks over St. Augustine Chapel. We also have a partial view of Diamond Head and a view of Kapiolani park adjacent to the Honolulu Zoo. This high floor Waikiki Banyan unit faces west and has direct, frontal panoramic ocean views. Of our five condos, because of its unparalleled views, the Hawaii County Assessor sends us for this condo the highest property tax bill every year.

Our unit has a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioner, DVD & CD player, free wifi, and free unassigned parking in Banyan's large attached garage structure. There is a lanai (balcony) facing the ocean with a table and two chairs for breakfast.

In residence guests can enjoy our sixth floor pool deck with a large swimming pool, two jacuzzis, a sauna, tennis court, electric coin operated (quarters) BBQ grills, lounge sunning chairs around pool, children play structure, fast food booth. Up to four persons staying in a condo can use the pool deck at any one time.

Unit has a cheerful island motif and was upgraded March 7, 2017 with new kitchen maple cabinets, kitchen center island, granite countertops, tile floors throughout, new oven & microwave, new wall art work. Bathroom was enlarged and upgraded two years ago (granite counter top, new cabinet, cast iron tub, travertine tile). This will turn "standard condo" to "deluxe condo." Free unassigned parking in Waikiki Banyan's attached multilevel parking structure and free wifi.

The bedroom has a very comfortable king sized bed and the living room has a pull out queen sized sofa bed (comfortably sleeps one) . We can also bring in a high quality inflatable queen bed, twin bed(s), or play pen. For a fourth person we charge $30 more per night but you need to contact us first. There is a full sized kitchen with a microwave, large assortment of pots, pans, dishes, glasses etc... All linens are provided. The laundry room is down the hallway on the right. We supply hair dryer, iron & board, beach towels, some toiletries.

Our condo does not get the morning sun waking you up. Each exquisite view is a work of glorious art!

Calendar reflects the actual occupancy in our condo and you can book right away by simply clicking the 'BOOK IT' button on your right & filling out information on the VRBO generated form. The exact price for your stay will appear for you to approve. The GET tax is 4.712% and the TAT tax is 9.25% of the nightly rate. Cleaning Fee is $125 + 4.712% GET tax and 9.25% TAT tax for stays under 30 days and $175 + 4.712% GET tax and 9.25% TAT tax for stays over 30 days.

We have enabled VRBO "Instant Booking" so your booking request is instantly confirmed without further hassles. When final payment is due 75 days prior to your arrival date, VRBO will send you payment request invoice for balance due. Once paid, you will be sent detailed entry instructions including entry punch code, so you can enter condo anytime after 3 pm check in time, wifi codes, and other important information for your stay.

Our Waikiki Banyan 35th floor condo is large, comfortable, and private. We provide FREE WI-FI internet access, a DVD, VHS, CD player. The bedroom has a queen sized bed and is separated from living room by sliding doors. The living room has a queen sized pull out sofa bed. Portable fouton bed stored in closet and/or we can bring in a high quality electric inflatable queen or twin bed. High grade carpeting and high quality curtains were installed in 2013. Condo was decorated by an interior decorator in a cheerful Hawaiian motif.

Breakfast on USABLE LANAI (balcony) directly facing the ocean. Full kitchen including pots, pans, cutlery. All linens/towels, beach towels, two beach chairs provided. Coin laundry on every floor. Phone with free local calls. Alarm clock/radio. Cable TV. ONE FREE SECURED COVERED PARKING SPACE in the Waikiki Banyan parking structure. No pets or smoking please.

Our Waikiki Banyan condo is owner occupied part of the year, and we welcome vacationers who will take good care of it. We painted the walls with decorator colors and had an interior designer redo floors, cabinets, and wall décor in a “Hawaiiana” island motif. A brand new enlarged bathroom was installed with marble floors, tile walls, new cabinet & sink, granite countertop, cast iron tub & tiled shower, mirrors & new entry door.

The Waikiki Banyan is a fun resort ONE BLOCK from the warm sands and blue water of the world's most famous beach. Soak up the sun, stroll on ocean board walk, swim in warm ocean, snorkel across from the Zoo in fish preserve (some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii), surf, or just relax on the Waikiki Banyan's comfortable lounge chairs on recreation deck near pool or in shade. Two blocks from shallow swimming area in ocean protected by sea wall.

The huge recreation deck on the sixth floor of the Waikiki Banyan offers to resident guests only a large pool, jet spa, sauna, gas barbecues, children's playground and take out/snack bar. At the Waikiki Banyan you can meet vacationers from around the world.

The Waikiki Banyan is unique in that it offers large units with kitchens in upscale Waikiki in a resort environment at affordable prices. No other condo offers such a large amenity package (no amenity or parking fees in our condo) at such reasonable rates in such a desirable location, one block from the beach, churches (St. Augustine's and nondenominational Christian church in community center just east of Banyan on Sunday mornings), bus line, restaurants, and two blocks to a gorgeous park and zoo.

Making it exceptional, our unit has one of the best ocean views at the Waikiki Banyan (on the west side of Tower II), for which hotels would charge a small fortune per night. What's a vacation in Hawaii without panoramic ocean views, watching surfers from your living room, and spectacular sunsets!

Bus stop one block away from Waikiki Banyan. Ala Muana shopping center is 10 minutes away by bus. You don't need to rent a car. Take Reliable, Robert's or Speedi shuttle from airport to Waikiki Banyan ($20 or so round trip). Mini mart & snack bar in building. Walk to food pantry supermarket at 2370 Kuhio Avenue. Walk to Parkshore Starbucks across from beach. Longer walk to new Safeway at 888 Kapahulu Avenue.

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that we really enjoyed our 10 days in your condo on the 35th floor at the Waikiki Banyan. It was clean, very well equipped and in an excellent location. We spent many mornings and evenings out on the spacious lanai having our breakfast or dinner. The views are beautiful! The condo had absolutely everything we needed, including beach chairs and towels. It's a short walk to the beach, shopping, bus and the zoo. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent your condo again!

One block to Waikiki Beach, one of the best beaches in the world. Two blocks away is Kapiolani Park with the Honolulu Zoo, an aquarium, large green fields. Walk through the park to the foot of Diamond Head or walk along the beach. Adjacent the park is a protected fish preserve you can go snorkeling in. Our property is one block from the beach. The main street of Waikiki with all types of restaurants from fancy to fast food & a wide array of stores is one block away. An area protected by a seawall is also one block away.

About the owner: I have an MBA from UCLA in international finance and for three years was employed by Credit Suisse, Los Angeles. Subsequently, I was employed by Twentieth Century Fox Film Studios as Assistant to the Controller. I've been in all facets of the real estate business thirty years. I hold a Hawaii Broker -Salesperson license with Faith Naluai LLC (808)395-0127). I've been married 25 years, and have two college age sons. My wife is from Calgary, Canada, and is a registered nurse in cardiac rehab. She also has a Master's in Health Education from Loma Linda University. I particularly enjoy snorkeling and swimming, which I do daily. I don't like driving when on vacation, so the Waikiki Banyan, being one block from the beach, and two blocks from great snorkeling with restaurants and shopping everywhere is ideal.

Why the Owner Chose Diamond Head - Kapahulu - St. Louis, Honolulu, HI, USA:
I bought this unit for the view. In 1962, as a ten year old, I stayed at the Princess Kaluani Hotel on the 12th floor (I believe) and was astounded at the incredible ocean view from the hotel room. Nearly half a century later, we bought this unit because of its incredible 35th floor ocean views of both the Gold Coast and the surf breaks over St. Augustine's Chapel. My wife is from Calgary, Canada. We've lived in Colorado and central California on the coast. We like the fact that the unit faces west, so there is no morning sun waking us up. We bought this unit at the Waikiki Banyan because it is only one block to the beach and two blocks to a huge park in southern Waikiki. We enjoy snorkeling and there is a large fish preserve across the street from the park with a beautiful reef and all types of tropical fish. The Banyan is a resort property with incredible amenities.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
I just returned from staying in our condo last week. Every morning I took a 35 minute walk to the Lighthouse at the point on Diamond Head. The walk is along the ocean boardwalk, the Gold Coast, a quaint residential neighborhood, and up Diamond Head, bordering a scenic road. The view is spectacular. You can see great beaches with surfers below you. There are pathways down to the beautiful beaches. Every afternoon I went snorkeling either in the fish preserve by the zoo and the park or on the reef to the north of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. It is an incredible, relaxing experience. The great advantage of the Waikiki Banyan is that it is two blocks from a huge undeveloped lush green park area.
