If you are looking for cultural activities, you can visit the Universe adventure park or the city of Sønderborg. In the city, you can explore the charming waterfront promenade that passes Sønderborg Castle - a national treasure that tells the story of Sønderjylland, Schleswig and 1864. From nearby Fynshav, you can take a ferry to Fyn or Ærø. For shopping, Flensburg is 50 km away, where the city's long pedestrian zone is worth a visit.
