Very cozy and serene place to stay. Gorgeous wooded surrounding area and the fire pit and grassy area down by the pond was very peaceful! Perfect for outdoorsy folk looking for a ruggedly luxurious vacation
Disappointed with the location of the home, it was not on the lake, but across the street. The photos in the listing are misleading. The cabin was good, however the hot water for the shower was off and when the owner replied we could turn it on, but it leaks. The kitchen stove was electric, and the larger burner did not work. The cooking and dishware was old and not sufficient. Although I had a good time with my son's we all were disappointed with some of the accommodations. The property is not worth the cost per day due to the above items I have noted. Jose Velez
We had a great time on Bass Lake! Great location close to high peaks. Very secluded and nestled in the woods. Great using the kayaks and seeing some fall foliage!

Very dirty upon discovering the cabin late at night - cobwebs and mice droppings all over bedding ! Disgusting and clearly never prepped for guests at all . Dead mice and bugs on window sills. Mice droppings in drawers too. VRBO not providing any monitory relief either. If clean it would have been a nice place. Clearly a disaster

Peter,
Im sorry for this negative review.
Im not sure how any of this could have happened in the hours between cleaning the camp and your arrival.
You informed me you would arrive late. I made sure to leave multiple lights on. We did not receive any concerns during your stay and would have been happy to resolve any issues you had immediately. We remain committed to providing a clean comfortable retreat for guests looking to enjoy a peaceful stay in nature.
The perfect getaway to relax in nature. We've stayed here 3 times and absolutely love it. Quiet, secluded and has everything you need to enjoy the cabin and the water. The host is wonderful as well, great communication and hospitality. Looking forward to returning in the future!
We had a beautiful stay at the cabin. The leaves were newly turning and it is close to many places for a walk in the woods. We hiked to the loom lake fire tower, kayaked, made marshmallows and enjoyed the outdoors. Also found a large amount of chicken of the woods mushrooms in the woods behind the cabin!
We had a very quiet stay at the camp and enjoyed ourselves. The lake was somewhat difficult for me to get back and forth from because of a mobility issue.
We really enjoyed staying at the camp. If you are looking to get away from the city this is a perfect place to stay.
Thank you for the amazing experience!

Iryna,
Thank you for your positive feedback. We love hearing how people appreciate the solitude and beauty of the surroundings. It’s a simple camp to be sure however we are truly happy when people can utilize it for it’s purpose, to unwind. Thank you for being a great geust .

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful, we ventured on the lake, did some fishing, very , very relaxing, we had our dog with us, and he had a great time, he even met some local dogs and was great experience, (he’s a schnoodle) just wanna say it was a great time, definitely come back again
This is a great place! The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is stocked, the screen room is perfect for coffee in the morning, the fishing (off the shore) is fantastic, the boats are plenty and the memories we make here are priceless! We are return campers year after year! Mary responds quickly to any messages. If you are looking for a rustic get-a-way in a very private setting this place is perfect! We are already planning for next summer.
The property was was really nice and communication was great, my only complaint is there was a lot of clumps of dog hair everywhere other than that we were very pleased
Very clean and cozy. The host is attentive and our stay was very comfortable. We will be back! Thank you

Relaxing and serene cabin
Great and remote location! Really liked the layout of the cabin, though the outdoor patio and lakeside table were hard to use with the dust. The lake was pretty! It's not swimmable this time of year with the tadpoles.
Camp Asulykit was absolutely perfect for a quiet getaway. The house is on a quiet road across from Bass Lake, where we spent time daily either jumping off the floating dock, watching loons, kayaking, or letting our dogs play. The house had everything we needed and is close to some great hiking. We would love to be able to go back someday.

Bass Lake is small but big on beauty and serenity. The waterfront amenities really stood out…a screened gazebo, a swimming dock, canoes and kayaks, a cozy fire pit …and a loon to watch and listen to at night. Hosts very responsive when we had questions…many thanks for the flannel sheets and lots of firewood.

Thank you for your positive review. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your time.
Owners include a busy Registered Nurse and Carpenter who have three grown children, grandkids and a whole family of fur friends. The property was originally acquired for a quiet get away outside of how busy life can get. We've been provided such a relaxing safe harbor for our family, and in turn would like to share it with others.
Why they chose this property
A perfect true get-a-way while still being close to main activity destinations. This cabin can be whatever you like it to be. A home away from home in the fresh crisp mountain air and blustering views. Mountain, Lake Therapy while still remaining modest at its core.
