Free Spirit Cottage at Lazy Days on Manitowish Chain

The Free Spirit Cottage is one of 4 homes at this resort style property with 200 feet of frontage on the beautiful Manitowish Chain of lakes. The Free Spirit has a calming and natural vibe. It's tucked back in the corner of the property, but is only a short stroll to your dedicated dock and sundeck with chairs to enjoy while you play in the water, tie up your boat, or spend the afternoon with some cold drinks and a line in the water.



The lime green door marks the spot where you can leave your cares behind and enjoy a relaxing get away. This cottage has clean lines and natural textures of polished stone, stunning granite and rich walnut cabinetry. It has a huge master king suite with curbless, walk in tiled shower, a second bedroom with a queen bed and a second bathroom with tub/shower; all on the main level with your kitchen, dining, living room and laundry. While the lower level has an additional full bathroom with a shower, a 3rd bedroom with a queen bed and 4th bedroom that has 2 twin beds that look like tents and a pull out trundle - super cool for kids to feel like they are having their own camp out for the week!



The lower level also has a lounge area with a 70" TV. This gourmet kitchen is fully stocked for all of your culinary desires, (or just making popcorn) and the beautiful Black stained Alder table seats 8. The wrap around porch leads you right out back to a private firepit - this is a common path that our resident albino deer walks so if you are quiet, you will probably get to see her.



Hop on one of the complimentary kayaks (2 included), rent a pontoon from us or bring your own. You will love this cabin and enjoying a chain of water that you can explore for days.



Even though this cottage is on a resort style property, great care and planning has gone into making private separate outdoor spaces for each home so that everyone is sure to have their own space and a wonderful time!

North woods retreat

We had a wonderful visit in a beautiful resort home. Would love to get 4 families up there to stay on the channel between lake Manitowish and Alder. Accommodations were amazing. The house is very well planned and equipped. I am sure the other properties would be equally as amazing!

We would recommend this lovely home to anyone looking for a very comfortable stay up north! This is our second time staying in one of the Lazy Days Cottages and we could not have been more pleased. So well stocked with anything you could need or want. Plenty of fire wood for your night time fire pits too! These cottages are extremely spotless and the check in and check out process is clear and easy as well. Such a peaceful spot to get away and take in all the north woods has to offer. We hope to stay again soon!

Extended weekend to the North Woods

My family and I recently spent an extended weekend (fri-mon) at the Free Spirit Cottage. There were 8 of us in total and there was plenty of space for all. The older girls really enjoyed their own space downstairs and we all took advantage of the fire pit area and screened porch. We even saw the albino deer and her baby one evening!

Would book again!!

We stayed with two other couples and this was a great place. The finished basement was great to have two babies crawl around. Angela is a top notch host. Our bedfeame was busted and immediately the next day they came and fixed it along with replacing the dead boat battery. We could not have been happier with how responsive they were. The place itself was clean and provided all the ammenities for a long weekend with friends. The screened in porch was great for dining, the fireplace was a fun time to hang out at night, and the proximity to the water and providing apontoon rental made for a great time on the water fishing. I would recommend and we plan to stay again in the future!

Beautiful property. Very clean

Angela made the check in/ out process super easy. She was in contact a week before our stay to make sure we had all the information we needed. I feel she was very accurate in what would & wouldn’t be provided at the property so we could be well prepared. The home itself and the grounds are beautiful and so we’ll maintained. Everything was so clean and the finishes were beautiful. I would say our only downfall was the mosquitoes! They were relentless, which made enjoying outdoor evening activities non existent- however, there is a beautiful, large screened in porch that we spent a lot of time in. The mosquitoes are nothing the owners can do anything about and wouldn’t stop me from staying again- just be prepared with your bug spray! Would definitely recommend and consider staying again!

This property is the perfect mix of convenient and private and serene. Easy to reach off main highways, but tucked away on 6 wooded acres. Being on the Chain, with your own dock, gives you access to some of the best and most desirable water in Northern WI. We have built the cottages with much thought into making everyone's stay extremely comfortable, beautiful and peaceful.

What makes this property unique

Modern amenities with space for the whole family; perfect for multiple generations. Out of the hustle and bustle of tourist areas for a true relaxing stay, but plenty of great restaurants and activities nearby.
