About William Hubbard
My wife and I are retired school guidance counselors and local actors here in Tucson and in California. We split our time between Tucson and Camarillo, CA. We do local theater productions and commercials and film work here in Tucson and Phoenix and California. Bill was born and raised in Tucson, Vicki is from Tennessee and Florida. We have 2 sons...one is an actor in LA and the other is a music producer. This home is a labor of love and we wish we could move it to the beach!! This is our home and we love it! Please enjoy the home during your stay but remember it is our home too. If you break something, let us know. If something needs our attention, let us know. And remember to leave the home in the same way you found it. If you move furniture, please put it back the way you found it. Enjoy our home as if it were yours. Thanks!!
William Hubbard purchased this House in 2000
Why William Hubbard chose Cheyenne Estates
This was the perfect property for us when we purchased it in 2000. It is on a little over an acre of land, and was just big enough to accommodate our 2 donkeys, 3 dogs and 2 cats. It is just outside the city limits...literally! The animals are now with us in California…well not the donkeys…they are living on a wonderful ranch north of Tucson. We have a wide variety of wildlife here, and our guests like the seclusion and peacefulness that surrounds them. We didn't know how to market the property, but Vicki came up with The Bed and Burro. We had 2 donkeys and at the time I don't believe there was another rental that has pet donkeys on the property!! Quill, is our rescue donkey from Nevada and Jasper is our newest. They no longer are on the property...they live on a beautiful ranch near Aravaipa Canyon, but there memory is still present.
What makes this House unique
Your stay here will be peaceful and relaxing. Your casita comes fully equipped with a full kitchen, laundry facilities, linens and towels. You have your own private driveway and parking area and the benefits of the entire grounds to rest and relax. You might be lucky enough to see some of the wildlife here including many bird species, javelina, bobcats, coyotes, and lots of rabbits! We are very close to outdoor activities including the Saguaro National Monument East, Mt. Lemmon and Sabino Canyon. Many guests use this as a base for day trips to Tombstone, Karchner Caverns and Mexico.

Love The Buro!!
Fantastic spot in Tucson! Such a cute spot with all you need to enjoy the Tucson area. Close to parks and downtown.
Warm and welcoming
This is a sweet, compact guest house that was fully equipped. Clean and comfortable it was a great choice! The owners were on site and they were very respectful of our stay there. (They were also very, very nice.). I would not hesitate to stay there again.
Mary, Reading, MA
The accommodations were quite comfortable. The bed is good and the kitchen sufficient. It might feel crowded with 4 adults however the outside area is quite large and pleasant. Having a barbecue and a large table outside in the shade was wonderful. The pool is a nice relief when it is hot. The owner is very helpful if needed. Proximity to hiking is perfect. Everything you need is close by.
Nice small place. Comfortable.
It would be nice to have some bar soap in the shower. The place is a little smaller than it appears on the web site. The pool and BBQ are actually part of the main house and a little difficult to use without bothering those who are staying there.
Thanks for the review Gerald. The grill area, pool and the entire back yard are all common areas for both properties. We will try and make that more clear on the site. They are both vacation rentals and occasionally both are rented. Glad you had a nice stay.
Loving Bed and Burro
We had a wonderful stay in this peaceful neighborhood very near to Saguaro East. We especially enjoyed the peaceful yard, chirping birds and the mountain views. The casita was perfect for our needs. Everything was clean and tidy and comfortable.
Hoping to come back next year.
