We made last minute plans to travel to Louisville for spring break and found this home to be very suitable for our family of 5. The house was very clean, nice big yard and an amazing hot tub! The hosts were very easy to work with and the check in and check out process were very smooth. We arrived in the middle of the night, much later than the normal check in time, and Tony was more than accommodating to our needs. I would highly recommend this property or any others operated by these hosts!

Great Stay! Amazing Home & Location
We had the best stay at Tony & Christine's Highland Home. The house was spotless, full of charm, and so welcoming. We loved spending time in the backyard, especially on the patio and in the hot tub. The location is amazing, with an easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and bars, all in a safe, vibrant neighborhood. The private off-street parking was a huge plus. Thank you for being such great hosts, we’ll definitely be back!
We had the perfect stay at this charming, beautifully appointed spot. We took our dogs and they had a great time playing in the fenced-in back yard. Definitely highly recommend!

Thank you for noting that the property was nice, Chris. The communication issue occurred because a dog wasn’t included in the reservation, so our pet rules weren’t shared. Those rules clearly state that dogs must be on a leash at all times and that we do not allow aggressive dogs. Your dog was allowed to roam the backyard without supervision and became aggressive toward another guest and my maintenance staff. I made the difficult decision to cancel the stay to ensure everyone’s safety. After 1000 bookings, this was my first cancellation, and I knew it could result in a negative review, but guest safety will always come first.
Our stay was great! The space was comforting and inviting. The location was super convenient as we were in town for a wedding and wanted to do some touristy things. Tony was super attentive and worked quickly to remedy any hiccups that occurred, even during our late night check in.
Love the decor! Everything was great but a bigger tv in the living room area a microwave, and a tv in the main sleeping room would make it better. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay. It was beautiful, and comfortable and again in a perfect location!

Thanks so much for the review Alisha! We do have a toaster oven in the kitchen. Most guests actually prefer it to a microwave after they use it. We have debated on putting a larger TV in the living room, and opted to go with a smaller TV so the focus is more on spending quality time with your group. We may still do this, and based on your feedback we may add a microwave too. Thanks again, hope you come stay with us next time you're in town.

We loved our stay at Tony & Christine’s place! The location was perfect—right along Bardstown Road, with so many great shops and restaurants to explore just steps away. We especially enjoyed dinner at Dragon King’s Daughter (the kimchi is amazing!). Cherokee Park, one of Olmsted’s beautiful parks, was an easy walk from the house and such a great spot for a long stroll with our dog. The backyard was also ideal for traveling with a small dog—quiet, safe, and peaceful. The neighborhood itself is very calm, yet so convenient to everything. Tony & Christine were wonderful hosts with clear, timely communication that made everything smooth. We would definitely stay here again!

Property was perfect for our stay and was just as advertised. Tony was very responsive and extremely helpful. Property is within walking distance to lots of great coffee shops, boutiques, bars, restaurants, etc. (and the area is very safe and we felt very comfortable walking around). We had wonderful dinners at Shiraz and Public House and cocktails at Darlings. This Property is perfect for a couple looking for a weekend getaway.

What a great location just off of bardstown rd and close to cherokee park. We loved it all and ended up walking almost everywhere. Safia coffee great and almost in the backyard(which is fenced and awesome). We also enjoyed Za's pizza and many local watering holes. The place was great and served every need we had. Tony was very quick to respond and stepped up when our previous VRBO cancelled 4 days before our arrival. Thanks for a great stay!

Charming Highland Home
We absolutely fell in love with this home. It was perfect for our weekend getaway. Immaculately clean, charming, and incredibly comfortable, it exceeded our expectations. The peaceful backyard, complete with a firepit and patio area, made for the perfect retreat. Off-street parking is a rare gem in this area and was a huge plus. The location is fantastic, just steps from the vibrant shops and restaurants on Bardstown Rd yet tucked away enough to enjoy quiet and relaxation. The hosts were amazing, providing seamless communication and always being available for any questions. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back!
Easy process with great communication. Perfect location right off Bardstown in the center of everything. Easy walking to all restaurants and shops with lots of reserved parking making it easy to get around. Host was so kind and accommodating. Clean home and comfy beds and cute historic home to enjoy and relax. Loved the big yard and strung lights over the fire pit and hot tub. Super clean and perfect end to the day. I highly recommend this Vrbo and will stay again when I come back to Louisville. 5 plus stars!
Clean. Roomy. Excellent location. Safe, quiet neighborhood. Right off Bardstown Rd, which had lots of restaurants. Very pretty street. Short walk to Cherokee Park, so we could do some hiking. Nice private parking area in the back of the house. Nice outdoor seating. Especially liked sitting on the front porch in the evening.
Great property central to everything…we found it easy to get to downtown or out to other destinations. We were close to Safai coffee, we tried a different shop one day and went right back to Safai. Seviche, was a great dinner recommendation, spot on Tony! The old forester distillery was awesome and close. Lastly, Castle and Key is an amazing story, worth the drive to see the grounds and tour if you can get in! Louisville was a Welcome surprise, was a much better trip than we expected

The location, size, owner communication and pet friendliness of this property was perfect for our family! This VRBO provided great space to hang out. The living space provided comfortable conversation areas; the outside high fenced yard was perfect for our dog to run about and the house was right around the corner from wonderful coffee houses and restaurants and just up from Cherokee Park. The owner was very responsive and timely and very accommodating. If you need a central location from Downtown, to Churchill Downs to the eastern louisville suburbs this home has it! Will definitely stay again:)
