A calming respite just 8 minutes from the embankments of the Saône, my home is a rustic Canut converted into a contemporary duplex. Perched above the rooftops of Vieux Lyon, it offers a stunning panoramic view of the city and one of the only hanging gardens in Old Lyon, a rare and peaceful escape.

The apartment is ideal for couples who want to stay close to downtown Lyon while enjoying a quiet retreat, far from the traffic and crowds. Guests will be nestled in laid-back Vieux Lyon, surrounded by Renaissance-era mansions, picturesque cobbled roads, and charming cafés and boutiques.

The duplex is 15m2 with a tiny winding staircase that leads to the bedroom. The living area is where guests will find all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, with a small high table with two sets of bar stools, a small kitchen that's more than capable of cooking full meals, a mini-fridge, an electric hob and an exhaust ventilator. Make yourself a warming latte or a strong black brew with the complimentary coffee machine provided.

Upstairs, the bedroom has a low-slung ceiling that lends an inviting ambience, but taller people will have to mind their heads. It has a double bed, complimentary hotel-quality linens, and a work desk with a window. The bathroom is underneath the bedroom and has everything for guests to freshen up, including towels, toiletries and a hairdryer.

Vieux Lyon sits on the River Saône quayside, overlooked by Renaissance-era mansions with hidden courtyards and terracotta-tiled roofs. The medieval Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste is noted for its ornate astronomical clock. At the same time, the Movies & Miniature Museum showcases scale models by miniaturist Dan Ohlmann. Hilly, medieval streets lead to fine-dining restaurants and stylish bars selling Beaujolais wines.

Most parts of Downtown Lyon are accessed on foot, with the city's taxi and ridesharing services readily available.

- Lyon Saint Paul Station is less than 3 minutes away by foot.
- Vieux Lyon Metro Station is less than 10 minutes away by foot.
- Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport is 40 hours away by car, depending on traffic conditions, or 1 hour by train and metro.

Please note that late check-in after 22:00 has a surcharge of €20. Check-in after 00:00 is subject to confirmation.

Kindly note that completing the mandatory signing of the contract before your check-in is necessary.

Renting this apartment requires a lease signature constituting a legal obligation to be made in parallel with the reservation.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €300 smoking fee, at minimum.

Pets are not allowed in this apartment, and both inside and outside areas are non-smoking. It is crucial to maintain quietness, as no noise is tolerated in this building. Thank you for your understanding.
