The apartment is in a perfect location with a full street of restaurants backing directly onto the building. Access on arrival is difficult if you have large suitcases as there are five flights of stairs to get to the apartment. However, you only have to do this once and tradeoff is that you have a great view of the Basilica right from your lounge. The host is extremely helpful and we enjoyed our time in this apartment.

Vincent was a wonderful host, met us in the tiny alley off one of the best streets for dining in Lyon (pedestrian) to give us keys and explain access.The place was clean, complete, quiet - more so after the Thai restaurant downstairs shut down at night, with a small washer in the bathroom, good hot water shower, nicely arranged kitchen, comfy sleeping for three - our son took the couch. Our bed was small but comfy.And the view!We were a short walk from the old city and funicular to the cathedral, just a few blocks from the Cordelliers tram station. Electric plugs were conveniently located, the lighting was well done, all the basics.The hike up nearly a hundred ancient stairs could be tiresome, but for the price in central Lyon that is not a dealbreaker, unless you cannot haul luggage up.We could have used aircon, but it was ok in June. Vincent recommended an affordable restaurant a block south that was spectacular and cost us about 80 euros for three.The other options were either less central or more costly. Lyon is a young, bustling, amazing town. If you can afford to visit in any way, I recommend it. Just be prepared for some French realities, like the stairs and no AC at this price. Also no TV, but we have iPads so no matter.If you can climb a few flights it’s a good deal.

Perfect location

Great location - near restaurants, boulangeries, must see sites. FYI - if you are mobility challenged or have large suitcases the apartment is on the 5th floor and a walk up. As typical of French apartments the stairs are narrow and winding and may be difficult. Vincent was extremely communicative and clear with directions for check in and out. We hit a heat wave in Lyon and he was gracious enough to provide an extra fan. I would stay again (hopefully in cooler weather).

EMPLACEMENT TOP

L'appartement est super bien placé, propre, lumineux et joliment décoré. La plupart des visites peuvent se faire à pied ce qui est fort appréciable. La vue sur ND de Fourvière est un plus. La communication avec Vincent a été excellente. Très bonne adresse!

Super apartment in heart of Lyon

This is a wonderful apartment. The view is spectacular, especially at night. You are in an area full of cafés, bars, and restaurants on rues piétons. Host is super responsive and kind.

Vincent was attentive and helpful - we loved the location in the heart of the restaurant district and right across the river from Old town Lyon. There were some steps to get to the apartment on the top level but it was spacious, very clean, well appointed and a spectacular view of the Basilica from our living room window. We would recommend this to friends and stay here again!! Lyon exceeded our expectations - this stay was lovely!

Every little thing requires a communication with the host

Upon arrival, bad wifi. One single roll of toilet paper. No knives. Clogged shower. Barely any hot water. Worst of all, the washing machine permanently stained all of our clothes. Host refused to compensate for damages. Host was very responsive and did his best to help issues, but he has a lot of improvements to make in his property. He should not be renting out this property again until he fixes the above issues. You should fully expect to have to ask him for many things during your stay.

Perfect spot

The apartment was in a perfect location. There were many restaurants close by and such a close location to the Saone River. The owner was quickly responsive to us (had an issue with internet).

Beautiful apartment in perfect location

My teenage daughter and I stayed here in early spring 2024. It's a beautiful apartment, ideally situated in a traboule with a nice restaurant at ground level. Host was very helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend.
