Thanks Jane! Nice to hear that. Would love to host you and your family again in the future!
The cabin is conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but high enough to get away from all the noise and traffic and get a beautiful Mountain View. Communication from the host was very timely especially since we booked it within three days of arriving.

This property was gorgeous, so relaxing, and so clean! Owner response time was excellent. The road getting up to the property is winding but so worth it. 100% recommend. Amazing views off the balcony.

Thanks Olivia! Always happy to help. I'm glad the property met your expectations. Yes, the drive to the cabin is winding but definitely pays off with the view off the balcony. I look forward to hosting you again in the future!
The host was super responsive. The location is beautiful, literally amongst trees on a hill side, the roads uphill were a bit of an adventure doing it the first time, but totally doable.
The cabin was well equipped, the seating on both sides of the house was very much appreciated, as it was lovely to sit on either side, depending on where the sun came from. Would totally come back if in the area again!

Thank you Claudia! Yes the initial drive up can be adventurous but totally doable thereafter. Would love to host the both of you again in the future!
The cabin was just as described. It is in a perfect location away from the main parkway, but not too far up into the mountains. The view off the back deck is just like the pictures! Only a 10 minute drive into Pigeon Forge for all of those attractions, or 10 minutes into Gatlinburg to shop the strip.
Plenty of starter amenities - more than in other cabins we’ve been in! Fast WiFi! Very clean, and everything in working order! The kids loved having the big loft with the football table. This cabin is at the top of our list for our next visit to the Smokies!

We enjoyed this cabin! This was our favorite vacation it was so relaxing. It was just what we were looking for and more. The location is absolutely perfect. Centrally located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. You didn't have to drive far to get anywhere. We loved being up in the mountains to get the view. The cabin was perfect for our family. Our two boys loved the loft area with their own TV and foosball table and we could have our own area away from them to relax! The kitchen had everything you would need. The decorations were lovely. We will definitely come back to this cabin and recommend it to anyone in the future. Simply perfect!

We loved the cabin; comfy, clean, and beautiful. It has everything you need to stay out of your home and still feel at home. The owner, Brad, is always available to give detailed explanations about the cabin and more. It is highly recommended!

Thank you Dora! I'm happy that you and your family loved the cabin. Would love to host you again in the future.
The only downside we found are the beds are stiff and hard as a rock. The roads are just as described by the owner. Get there before dark for your first time. The view is amazing from the patio and the hot tub was perfect! We had everything we needed.

Thank you for the review Tiffani. Sorry about the beds being stiff as they are brand new. You're the second guest since we got them. I've had previous guests say the old mattresses were too soft so we opted to go firmer with a medium firm and firm mattresses. Hopefully, it gets softer as they get broken in. Yes, the roads can be a little tricky and intimidating if your first time at night. Glad you got used to it. Yes, the view is a hidden gem for the cabin and area. Hope you visit the Smoky Mountains again!
The cabin was just as described, the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need for short trip or to get you started if you were staying the whole week. The road up was a little tricky, but Brad provided step by step instructions and was kind enough to give a heads up about arriving before dark the first day. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Thanks Kenny! Yup the drive up can be a little tricky but you made it. Looking forward to hosting you again in the future.
We found the cabin to be extremely clean, comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked.
We loved the bear decorating theme (unfortunately those were the only bears we saw all week!).
The hot tub and the foosball game were nice bonuses.

Thanks Michael! I’m glad to hear that the cabin was extremely clean and you guys were comfortable. Sorry that the bears didn’t visit while you guys were there. Maybe next time!
Ohana Bear Hugs is a beautiful property. The host Brad is very responsive and helpful. Loved our stay here and enjoyed the scenic views while chilling in the hot tub. The drive gives to another level of thrill. I loved every bit of it. :)

Thanks Mona! I’m glad to hear that you and your group enjoyed your stay. Hope to host you guys again in the future.
Ohana Bear Hugs was a phenomenal place for our family to return to the Smoky Mountains! We were here for our daughters National Dance Competition but wanted to add in extra time to spend hiking, family friendly shows, and having our downtime spent at this beautiful cabin with Mountain View’s that make you feel deep peace in your body. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There are games we found in the cabinet/hutch located in the living room too. The drive up to the cabin does take some getting used to. It has some steep hills, but the views once your up are all worth it! We even saw a bear on our last drive out of the community which made everyone’s day! Brad was awesome and checked in on us a few times. Our daughters dancing time got extended and he was able to offer us an extra day. It was so helpful and we were relieved that we didn’t have to find accommodations somewhere else for one day. Our kids loved the cabin and so did we. Wonderful family memories were made!

Ohana Bear Hugs really felt like it was on top of the mountain, but is centered perfectly close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. My family had a great 5 day stay at this property. Its a nice quite cabin with wildlife everywhere, even had a bear near the cabin on our last night. Brad was real helpful making sure we got checked in and out easily.

Thanks Jim! You were great guests and left the cabin in top shape. Happy to hear you and your family enjoyed your stay. Yes, those bears do make some appearances! Hope to host you and your family again in the future.
-Brad
The place was beautiful and very easy to check into. Brad checked on us often to make sure things were going good and to see if we had any questions. The only downfall to the place is that it is high up into a mountain and is hard to get up at night or if you don't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Other than that no complaints and would rent again in the future!

About the host
Hosted by Brad
I grew up in a little rural town on the Big Island of Hawaii about an hour away from either big city. From the beaches to the mountains, I love the outdoors. Now, I live in the city so enjoying the outdoors is quite a drive away. I had to get a place that would remind me of my childhood and allow me to enjoy the outdoors. I came across the Smoky Mountains and fell in love. So, getting a cabin that my family and I can go to and enjoy the area made sense. It's a perfectly sized cabin for our Ohana (family). Hence the name Ohana Bear Hugs. When we're not using it, I would love to share it with others so they can enjoy the outdoors as much as I do.
