The holiday villa "Casa Do Mar" - Our house directly by the sea ... in the extraordinary region "Oeste". The unique, unobstructed view of the beautiful beaches of Areal and Areia Branca from almost all rooms and from the large roof terrace at the end of the row villa, is one of the special features that makes this villa so incomparable. The lounge on the roof terrace ..., a very special retreat! When closed windows front let the phenomenal view on itself, read a book in peace or enjoy a convivial round of wine. With the windows open, a shady spot on the roof terrace. Discover this space, see the beach and the sea. And the holiday begins. In addition to these beaches, which are characterized by their rough and almost untouched dune landscape, the view extends over the surrounding villages. The panoramic rooftop terrace is great for relaxing or for a shared pastime, and a comparable view of the sunsets from up here will be difficult to find anywhere in Portugal. The "Casa Do Mar" is located directly in front of a dune landscape, which is designated as protectet natural area. The climate is well-balanced, the sea breeze ensures that the heat can be well tolerated in the summer months.

This is a stunning location overlooking the surfers in the Atlantic below. The property was extremely well equipped, clean, spacious, and high quality. Khristina was extremely welcoming, well informed, and responsive. Great place for relaxing and touring surrounding villages.

Close to perfection

Great pool, great lounge, great view, lots of space. We also enjoyed our daily breakfast at the beach bar which is a nice 15 min walk away. Highly recommended!

The property was wonderful and as advertised. Kristina was very helpful and friendly and we had a wonderful stay. Very clean house that had everything we needed travelling with our 3 adult kids and my elderly dad.

Retreat by the sea

It was a beautiful property, so much so that we never wanted to leave! The beach walk was beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed all of the amenities the home has. Next level sunsets :)

Luxurious, comfortable villa with and stunning roof terrace

Our family of five adults enjoyed the luxurious, well equipped, spacious acommodation the villa offers. It has the most amazing roof terrace from which to enjoy the views and sunsets. Plenty of lovely seating for dinning and relaxing. What a treat!

Beautiful modern property, and as an end unit, very private. The roof top deck was a great place to lounge and enjoy the views. The entire property was extremely comfortable for our family vacation. There were 5 of us, all adults, and we loved our stay in Casa Do Mar.

Beautiful home

Our family (three sisters and husbands) really enjoyed our stay in Lourinha and this home worked out perfectly for us! Lots of extra rooms for people to have own space, several eating/dining areas and several outdoor deck areas. Well equipped, The views are amazing! Definitely would return! Communication with owner and property manager very good!

Amazing Beach Home in Lourinha!

The property was just as it is listed, amazing. As a family of five with three little kids it was very nice to have so much space, a pool and with such a close walk to the beach. The sunrises and sunsets at truly wonderful and can be viewed on the top of this beach side home. Stefan was very welcoming and was always available if we needed anything. Casa do Mar will always have a place in our hearts. We will definitely be back to Lourinha!

Nice and relaxing vacation

The panoramic view from the house is fantastic. The house is nice and clean with terrific terraces. The pool is quite cold. The only downside is the kitchen-location : no view and lack of worktops. It would have been better to open it to the living room.

Casa Do Mar is an absolutely modern and beautiful home overlooking gorgeous views of the ocean. Beds are very comfortable and the house is beautifully furnished. The top floor has indoor outdoor space that is perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. It was everything we hoped it would be as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the rest of our vacation. Ivan and Stefan were helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend this home.

Life is a beach and a beautiful home from which to enjoy it!

All of the details for renting this property were straight forward and dealt with in a timely manner. And with great hospitality too. We spent six nights during Christmas week with our adult children. We had great sleeping accommodations and felt there was plenty of room to spend time together and wind down alone. The house was spotless and comfortable. The location and setting were spectacular. From beach walks to meal prep to star gazing. This special place had it all!

Rooms with a view

We were so happy with our stay, the house was amazing and Stefan and Khristina were great and jumped on any concerns we had. They truly went above and beyond. Almost every room had a view of the ocean. The towns around the home had wonderful restaurants. If you didn't want to leave the paradise that is Lourinha you don't have to. But if you wanted to travel you can get to Porto in a couple hours and downtown Lisbon and/or Sintra in less than an hour. We wish we didn't have to leave!

Amazing villa with stunning views

We had a great week at Caso Do Mar, the villa itself is amazing and has some of the best views overlooking the Portuguese coastline. The rooms in the villa are all modern and comfortable and it literally has everything you could possibly need. Having its own pool is a great benefit and the outdoor spaces in general were out favourite part! We needed to use taxis to get into Lourinha as the villa is on top of a hill but you can walk down to the beach in less than 20 minutes which is great. The host Stefan was easily contactable and made us feel very welcome - we would certainly go back again!

Perfection!!

We just got back from a 4 day stay at this gorgeous house and the only thing wrong was that it wasn’t long enough!! The pictures don’t do it justice. The house is spotless with a well appointed kitchen and lots of space on the three levels to relax. The beds are comfortable as is the rest of the furniture. And the views are incredible. The housekeeper and host are amazing. Very easy to get in touch with and extremely helpful. We look forward to returning to Casa Do Mar soon! Thank you!!

Safe, Clean & Great Location for Exploring

We stayed in this wonderful unit in October 2022. 4 ladies checking out Portugal and Spain. We LOVED the location for exploring all the incredible little towns near by. The manager, Ivan was a pleasure to deal with and was kind enough to be our tour guide and driver to Porto for the day so us ladies could test the Ports of Porto! A great day! Thanks again Ivan. The unit itself was clean and very comfortable and had all the amenities of home. We were on the go everyday so it really was just a landing place at the end of excellent days of site seeing. I would stay here again, and especially in warmer weather when you can enjoy the pool and the upstairs patio area which has amazing views and vibes. All in all we were very satisfied! Thanks, The Ladies From Ontario, Canada!

Beautiful Property

The property is beautiful with amazing views. It was also very clean. Christina was very helpful in getting us familiar with the workings of the house. When we contacted her to ask that the pool be cleaned due to a big storm the night before, the pool cleaner was there very quickly, and the owner was very responsive to our questions. My only issue was the heating of the pool. I was assured when I made the reservation that the pool would be heated and agreed to pay extra since this was October. The description in VRBO clearly says "heated pool." However it was not heated when we arrived and was told it would be too expensive to heat and would take too long. The owner did say he would heat it if we wanted, but it might not be fully heated until near the end of our stay. If the pool had been heated when we arrived, as I was told it would be, this would not have been an issue. Also, a cover on the pool might make it less expensive to heat. Once again, the property is beautiful, but we were not able to enjoy all of the amenities.

Lovely villa with fabulous views

The villa is large, modern and well equipped. The best area is the rooftop with a lovely outside decking for warm weather and an inside room for cooler or wetter weather. The location is great if you’re happy to walk 10 minutes to the nearest beach, which has a wonderful beach bar open till 8pm, or hop in the car for a short drive to local shops and lots of other restaurants/other beaches. The location didn’t feel very touristy or busy at the end of May but I suspect it is much busier in high season. There’s one large en suite bedroom, and two nice double bedrooms that have a separate family bathroom. That’s all we needed, but the 4th bedroom would be the one in the middle with a fab view and a double sofa bed I assume. The pool is on the ground floor and quite small, and due to the weather and the fact we were all grown ups we didn’t use it. Communication with the owner was good, and despite being German his English is great. The area it’s in is mainly modern villas recently developed, so not hugely appealing, but the views from the villa are stunning and well worth the location. Bring your own beach towels

Incredible Views

The house is situated at the end of the street in a nice neighborhood with similar style homes. Using Google maps, it was easy to find. Khristina was waiting for us, she was very pleasant and showed us the house and provided helpful tips on how to keep things working smoothly. The house is as pictured in the listing. The one room not shown is the kitchen, although small it also includes the washer and dryer. Very compact, but well designed to include all needed appliances, but counter space is lacking. Can’t have more than one person cooking. Also would have liked simple instructions on how to use the appliances, The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. The bed linens could be better, they are made from synthetic material, making sleeping a bit uncomfortable. We also had some issues with bathroom smells, were told that it depended on the wind direction. Khristina quickly provided pointers on how to deal with the issue, and it worked well. The pool was very cold and although a hot tub is listed, there was no hot tub. Getting to the beach from the house is a 15 min hike. We enjoyed the hike. But there was plenty of parking and a great boardwalk and restaurants should you drive to the beach. We were there in September, weather was warm, but often very windy, so on those days we’d head out on day trips. A car is a must, grocery stores are about 6 minute drive away and there are many attractions within an hours drive. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

Traumhaftes Ferienhaus mit toller Aussicht.Wir hatten hier einen wunderbare erholsame zwei Wochen verbracht. Im Haus hat es an nichts gefehlt. Den Pool haben wir so gut wie gar nicht genutzt da es nur ca. 15 min zu Fuß zum Strand waren. In der Gegend gibt es viele gute Restaurants und im Nachbarort sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.
