The view is perfect from the sunroom overlooking the pond. You will be comfortable and happy in this kid friendly home.
Favorite Activities: Some of our favorite things to do. We love the restaurants in town, especially Tea at the Sagamore Hotel, great lunch & dinners at Lakeside Rest. There's Kate's for great Italian food and great music on Sunday's at Fredricks. Our favorite shop is Happy Jacks which has three shops in town including a great new candy shop. The kids love our after dinner strolls for ice-cream at Ben & Jerry's. We love Tuesday night movies under the stars at the town beach across the street from our road. There's always craft festivals and things going on in this fun little town. My husband and son love to golf and have hit all the nearby courses. Although a little pricey the Sagamore Golf Club is beautiful. Our family absolutely has a blast at the nearby Adirondack Extreme. But most of all we love to be out on the water. Whether you bring your boat or rent one, you have to get on Lake George. Words can't describe it's natural beauty. It's our favorite thing to do!
Beyond expectations. Well furnished and beautifully decorated home with nice view of pond and wildlife from the sunroom. Easy walk to town, resturants and beach/park on Lake George. Would return again without question.
Thanks for a great week.
If you are planning to come visit the Lake George area, look no further! This house is walking distance to all of the beautifully quaint town of Bolton Landing. You can walk to Lake George, the Sagamore, the beach, the restaurants and shops of town. This house is close to everything in Bolton Landing and a short drive to anything in Lake George village area. They have beach chairs, towels, lots of space to sleep 10 or more including a crib or pack n play for small children. It is really well kept and Pat was excellent and easy to work with.
The kitchen is stocked with anything you might need for plates, pots and utensils, fridge, stove, microwave, blender. There is a big eating table that easily seats 6. This house easily accommodated our family with two adults and four young children.
We were able to rent a boat to go on the lake just down the road, visit the beach, hike, horse back ride, visit six flags, ride the steamboat, shop, dine and go to the rodeo all with ease with this house as the home base of it all. Thank you Pat/William, we really enjoyed our stay!
We just returned from our second stay at this home. We first stayed here during the summer of 2012 and liked it so much that we returned again this summer.
The house is clean, spacious and in an excellent location. You're litterally a two minute walk from Bolton Landing (which is absolutely charming) and moments from the shores of Lake George and the beach. You can also walk to the Sagamore (nicest hotel/resort in Lake George) in 15 minutes or drive there is less than 5 minutes. You're also about a 15 minute drive from Lake George Village, which is perfectly fine for us, as its a nice place to visit, but Bolton Landing is a much nicer place to stay.
The home itself is great. This year our kids slept in the basement rooms, while we slept on the second floor. Therefore even if you're with your kids you can have some privacy. We also loved the back of the home by the pond, as is was a great place to hang out and our kids loved feading the families of ducks that would congregate every morning.
I will also say that the home is well managed and Pat is great to work with. She's really responsive and will provide you with good insight into the area as well. Not that we had any problems, but if anything were to arise, Pat is the kind of person who would make sure it would be addressed right away.
All in all this is a really great home and we are really happy that we've found it. As I mentioned, we just came back from our second stay here and I can tell you that we're already looking forward to coming back again for our third stay in the summer of 2014.
My family of four spent a wonderful week here. It is the cleanest rental house you’ll ever see! It was a very quick walk to town for shopping and great restaurants, as well as the public beach. Anything we needed was provided, from the beach parking pass, to a cooler, to DVDs for rainy days. Highly recommended!
We just returned from a week at this awesome home and couldn't have asked for anything more. There were 4 adults and 6 children and this home supplied everything we could have needed and way more!! Believe it when I say that all you need to bring is your clothing! The house was spotless and the location was perfect. We only had to cross the street to go to the beach or to walk around beautiful Bolton Landing. However if Lake George Village is more your thing it was only a 10 minute ride away. I certainly will be returning to this " home away from home" and that truly is what it felt like to everyone in our party, aged 6 to 55. My thanks go to Gina and to her wonderful housekeeper Pat who we got the chance to meet on our first day, because of a problem with the hot water heater that was taken care of IMMEDIATELY. Thanks so much for sharing this great home with us and WE WILL BE BACK!!! Bob and Mary Beauregard and Family
Really delightful house. Clean as can be. We loved sitting in the sunroom and on the back deck. The back outdoor fire stove was a real hit with our kids. The walk to Bolton Landing was a delight. Thank you for a great vacation. We would love to return next season (and perhaps in the winter for some skiing).
