Sometimes, nothing but beachfront will do. And if that's the case, Lighthouse 1402 is for you! This 14th-floor condo offers incredible views of the Gulf of Mexico from its private balcony, where you can relax in a comfortable captain's chair with a cool, refreshing beverage in hand.

The inviting living room opens up to the deck, so you won't miss the view even when you're inside. There's a full kitchen to assist at mealtime, as well as convenient counter seating. The primary bedroom has balcony access, so you'll be able to admire the view from bed if you so choose. The private en suite bathroom has a double vanity, a garden tub, and a separate shower. A bunk room and a laundry room complete the floor plan of this family-friendly condo.

Spend your days relaxing on the beach and enjoying the included amenities on-site. Lighthouse boasts two gorgeous outdoor swimming pools (one zero-entry), an indoor pool, a fitness center, two saunas, and a hot tub - all in a convenient location within walking distance of great restaurants and shops.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Relaxing in Gulf Shores

Great location and beautiful view of the beach from living room and bedroom! Plenty parking (a fee). The pools are and hot tubs. Secure safe place to stay. Updates are still being made in condo which is a plus!

Cleaniness

Condo was not clean upon arrival. They provided us with a toilet brush and pan. I did not go on vacation to clean. Couch was very stained. Very disappointed!

Nice, but could use a little TLC

PROS: large balcony, nice location, nice pools. Had chairs, umbrellas, and toys to use. Elevators are fast. CONS: 2 of the three beds didn’t even have flat sheets. Linens barley fit the king bed kept coming off. Whole place could use a deep clean. Owners or magnet should have been more clear on the building construction. Waking up at 7 am to hammer drills directly above your bed room isn’t ideal on vacation. Luckily for the next people the roof is about done. However stucco repair and painting just started.

Considering the value, we won't be returning

My husband and I recently stayed at this condo at the Lighthouse in Gulf Shores. While we had a generally positive experience, we did have some concerns given the price we paid, such as the requirement to wear wristbands by the pool, the tight parking deck (though, thankfully, we visited in the slower October season). The couch was very uncomfortable and had a worn appearance, and it was lacking an ottoman for relaxation. The uncovered balcony made it impossible to use in the rain, although the balcony chairs were incredibly comfortable. The bed was high and wobbly, and we felt that the condo could benefit from having some rugs. In summary, our stay was enjoyable, but considering the value, we won't be returning to this property in the future.

Honeymoon Trip

We love Gulf shores but was disappointed in this unit. We have stayed in the Lighhouse previously and love it but this was by far the worst room we have had. The unit is not kept up, several things was not working. The condo did have to purchase some things and bring to us that was not in the unit. The ice maker did not work in the fridge. It looks like the owner has things stored in the closets which makes it impossible for 2 people to use them. We did have to get the cleaning service back in to clean after we got there. The air conditioning doesn’t cool the room. The balcony is is large but it is not covered. No where in the description doesn’t it disclose this.

No ice maker. Not enough cookware and utensils. No table to sit and eat at in the the condo or on the balcony. No pitchers for making tea and such, no spatula suitable for grilling, No large pots for one pot meals or large skillets. Can opener occasionally worked. Not enough bath towels. Poor quality bedding and mattresses. No room in the master closet for guest items because it’s being used as a storage and is full of stuff. Only 2 chairs on the balcony. No roof on this balcony which would have been nice to know. Refrigerator did not ever get as cold as it should. TV or computer monitor in bunk room did not work. Dust is packed on the ceiling fan blades. Parking passes are now $40 a piece. We’ve stayed at the Lighthouse for the last 10 years but $4000 for a week to experience this is pricing families out of range. And if you don’t get your umbrella and chairs out by 5:30 am, you’re expected to sit behind the rented blue umbrella chairs. We had 5 condos rented between my relatives last week and had to stand our ground everyday that we were just as entitled to waterfront as anyone else. They’ve never put the rented umbrellas right on the water before so be prepared. It was like our $20,000 meant nothing. We could have gone many other places and next year we probably will.

Great place to stay, but needs major updates

Love the view, which really you can't get a bad view anywhere at the Lighthouse. As always, Vacasa does a great job at making sure everything is clean and they keep you updated on entry codes and what to do when checking out etc... the only issue we had with this condo was the fact that the appliances were super old and not working properly. The dishwasher was rusting at the bottom, Microwave did not heat thoroughly, toaster only toasted 1 side, fridge wasn't cold enough, freezer was too cold, no matter what setting you put it on. Washer and dryer worked, but were also very old, and very loud when in use. Was not aware from the description on the listing that this is the top floor on that side of the building, so there is no cover on the balcony to protect from rain and the blistering sun. Also not much privacy on the balcony. The chairs out there were pretty awesome though. Not a whole lot was put into decor. The bed in the main room was terrible. Not comfortable and the bed kept sliding across the room on the tile floor. Living room couch very uncomfortable; We stayed at another condo there a year or so ago and it was pristine and very updatedand comfortable. Made you want to stay inside some. This place didn't have that vibe. We were there for 5 nights. I would say anything longer that, you should maybe check into another condo that has a more homey feel for the price. Elevators on the property were great. No waiting and they were fast to get to the 14th floor. Parking at the Lighthouse is great. Covered and secure. The Vacasa management is great. I will always be sure to rent from them when getting another condo. I think with some updated working appliances and a little more love with comfort and decor, it wouldn't be too bad. Overall we had a good stay.

In need of updating

Upon entering the condo, I was initially disappointed. The condo did not look like it was pictured online. Furniture and appliances outdated and the condo is in need of some maintenance. Vacuum didn’t work and their was a broom but no dust pan so impossible to pick up the daily sand brought it. However, we made the best of it and enjoyed the beach and pool.

Very nice and beautiful place

This was a very beautiful condo and had a spectacular view of the ocean. The condo was very clean and the staff were extremely nice. The only negative was the dryer made a loud thumping noise while it was turned on and the refrigerator may be on its last leg. We did call Vacasa and reported the issue. These are normal things that can go out so nothing to get worked up over. We will definitely stay at that condo again.

Could have been amazing!

The unit and location were great….our timing was not! We arrived on Monday and for the next 3 days roofers (directly above us since this is the top floor in this section) started replacing the roof at 6AM!!! Yes, 6AM! I have a 5 yr old! It was the loudest noise you could possibly endure. An actual jackhammer directly over the bedroom at 6:15AM! My husband tried to address it the first day with the workers. We totally understand that this kind of work has to be done BUT starting at 6 AM everyday when people are vacationing and have paid a premium price?! Come on! Give us at least until 8! The other huge setback was the air conditioning. Again, just bad timing. We could not get the room cooler than 81 degrees. Ugh. Maintenance was up and completely replaced the unit but not until the day before we left. If those two things would not have coincidentally happened during our stay it would have been wonderful.

Worst condo rental I’ve ever experienced

We rented unit 1402 at the Lighthouse condominium. The 14th floor is the top of the condominium on each side. There was roof construction for our entire stay - each day they worked on the roof directly above us from 7am until 7pm. Needless to say we DID NOT ENJOY our vacation. I feel it was totally unethical to rent us this unit during this time frame when they knew full well there was construction.
