Esta increíble casa de estilo rancho recientemente remodelada se encuentra en 100 acres de propiedad boscosa privada y tiene varios cientos de pies de orilla del lago en Sunset Lake. El hogar y la propiedad funcionan muy bien para retiros corporativos, reuniones fuera del sitio o reuniones familiares. La casa se encuentra alejada del lago en una zona totalmente apartada que da a un gran patio trasero rodeado de miles de pinos maduros. En 10-15 minutos puede jugar al golf o cenar en el Ruttgers Bay Lake Resort, o pescar en el lago Mille Lacs, uno de los mejores lagos Walleye del país. Hay varios otros restaurantes y campos de golf en la zona, así como docenas de buenos lagos de pesca, incluido Sunset Lake, que es ideal para Bass y Northern Pike. This was the best furnished ever! A perfect place with activities for 3 generations. The kitchen was great for many cooks, every room had special touches but we all appreciated how clean everything was. Peaceful Retreat

This home is perfect for a family getaway! There is plenty of space for everyone to be together or do separate activities. The lake is beautiful! The house is located close enough to stores and other activities, but far enough away to be a quiet getaway. Definitely would recommend visiting!

Great Cabin

We rented the location for a business retreat. Plenty of room for Our group to stretch out. We cooked a bunch of meals and found the kitchen to be very easy to work in. It’s a bit of a walk to the lake, but that wasn’t a big deal. We had a great time and will certainly be back.

Great location!

This house is expansive and provides enough space even for large groups. Access to beautiful Sunset Lake was easy. I would recommend renting the optional pontoon boat - it made our lake adventures a lot more fun.

perfect house

This house had plenty of space to gather or to have alone time. The kids loved it, especially the game room basement! The pontoon was fun and easy to use.

Cabin family reunion

Relaxing Getaway

The house was perfect for our needs! There was a lot of space and things to do ( ping pong, sauna)! The property was beautiful and very peaceful but it was a buggy walk to the lake. Jerry, the property manager was around and very helpful!! A lot of memories were made by our family during our stay!!

Best vacation ever in Northern MN

This cabin is a hidden treasure, everything you need in a comfortable house. We felt like is our own home, very organized huge cabin more than 8000Sq ft and surrounded with an amazing natural wooded area and private trial. We speeded hours of fishing on the lake and felt like the lake is ours.

Beautiful large home for family gathering

Property was large and had everything to make the stay great. Lots of pots and pans, spices, all the things needed for and clean up. It was very large and a good place to enjoy family and give people the room to spread out and have some of their own quiet time. Kitchen, grill and fire pit were great. Screened in back porch was delightful.

Secluded getaway.

House was very clean. A/C kept you cool and comfortable. Internet worked well as did the direct tv. Nice and quiet. Fishing boat that came with your stay worked great. Lots of bass and northern were caught and released. Plenty of room to do your own thing or do as a group. Fire pits was fun.

Family Fun

The house was perfect for the 11 of us. Prior to our stay I kept thinking of questions and the hosts answered all of them promptly and courteously. When we pulled in we got to meet Jerry (caretaker - great guy) and he was about to gas up the pontoon so that was ready for us. I also brought my own boat, the landing isn't the best but very interesting lake, we caught lots of small fish but the action was nonstop. We also golfed 3 times at great courses less than an hour away. Thanks for a great week!

Huge home in the Woods

The house was gigantic with plenty of space for everyone and lots of neat decor. It was a bit tricky to find, depending on which way you come in. The kids loved the oroperty manager's two dogs, who came around regularly. Communication was prompt. An older home with a few peculiarities but noyhing we couldnt deal with. Awesome game room downstairs for nightly competitions. We enjoyed our family stay with kids and grandkids. Thank you!

Outstanding for a large group

We were 6 college friends looking for a lake property that could hold us all and this home was perfect! Although it was a short walk to the lake, the location was excellent. We enjoyed the pontoon boat and saw more birds out on Sunset Lake than the Rice Lake Wildlife Refuge. Loons would greet us each morning, osprey fishing, sandhill cranes and, of course, Canadian geese. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, large tables for dining and a great room couch that could fit us all comfortably! Everything was clean and well arranged. The huge back deck came with a gas grill and a screened in sun room. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

The pictures do not do it justice!

This place is huge. Not in the mansion each room is big, but they are, but there is so much space our 6 guys didn’t even start to use the rooms available. You couldn't ask for a better place to get away from things. My friends and I are going to try and make this our yearly stop. Its perfect and has everything we need.and then some! Worst thing about the place is that I don't live there own it! Thank you for a wonderful place to spend times with my closest friends. WE shall return, again and again and again.

Another great golf/poker outing

7 middle-aged men, friends for 40+ years get together once a year and have an annual Poker/Golf outing. This is the second year in this location and we couldn't be happier. Secluded, peaceful and welcoming are the words I would use to describe this home. It's close to at least 2 very nice golf courses, the large dinning table is great for gathering for dinner and of course the very competitive nickel, dime, quarter poker games! Everything is so clean inside and out. The basement bar and rec room is nice, but we didn't get a chance to use it. It's golf in the mornings, dinner, then either sitting on the large patio below with a nice fire going or a poker game. The bedrooms are comfortable and far enough away from each other that the very loud snoring some of us do wasn't an issue at all. As far as myself and my group of old buddies are concerned, this is where every annual gathering will be until they won't let us come back. Great place, great people to deal with, and we will be back, again and again. Thank you for another year of great memories!

Critters Cabin

Cleanliness: There were mouse droppings found in many places in the house. Two drawers contained acorns/shells, a toad in a bedroom. There were multiple dead mice, in traps, There was a mouse seen in the kitchen in which we set a trap for a caught ourselves as well. This infestation was known by the property manager and undisclosed to us before arrival. This was in stark contrast to the cleanliness standards expected from Vrbo listings. Amenities: The path to the dock was completely overgrown, in order to access we were given a weed wacker by the property mgr to clean up the area ourselves. We paid for use of the pontoon, which was in poor condition (1 functional seat, plastic chairs, sun shade with holes in it, moss overgrown on the whole thing, loose fishing lures, and an inoperable trolling motor). The pontoon was difficult to start and a couple days into the week left us stranded on the lake. We brought the indicident to the attention of the property mgr, were told it may be a dead battery, we charged the battery ourselves. And replaced it only to find out that the pontoon still did not start. The property mgr told us he could look into it on our last day, The fishing boat was full of water and unable to be used. I kindly request that you review this complaint and process a refund for the total amount paid. This experience was not expected from a Vrbo rental. We would like a refund for the pontoon as well as compensation for the work we had to do while on vacation.

Hi Amy - we really appreciate your feedback and apologize for these issues. We plan to get Orkin pest control to the property ASAP. We will unfortunately never completely get rid of the mice, given the location of the property in northern Minnesota. We will send through a refund for the pontoon not working during your stay. We have since then had it repaired.

Our 3rd or 4th time staying here. Love the how big it is as it’s where we have our annual golf/poker long weekends. Bunch of guys in their mid 50s . It is so quiet and peaceful. Yet minutes away from a great golf. Purse and close to others. It was clean, incredibly well stocked, and we look forward to our trip every year. Will be back next year, Side note, just wanted to say how sorry we all were that Jerry, the on site property manager, passed. He was a very nice guy and we missed him this last year. As well as his dogs. RIP Jerry

Great Home, Great Location

What a beautiful home and location. My family enjoyed grilling on the back patio and hanging out in the three season room and deck in particular; we had no issues with mosquitos or other insects (early Sept). Jerry was great and we loved his dogs, Newfie and Akita. The dock was easy to launch our kayaks from, we had great bike rides, loved the bird watching, loved the hiking trails you maintain, and enjoyed the star gazing. You have a really well-equipped kitchen which made it easy for a bunch of foodies to focus on enjoying our time there. Thank you!!

Property was great! Lakeshore is across the street- no view from cabin

We fit our whole extended family comfortably! The backyard was perfect for bags and a fire. And the indoor space was so much fun for all our littles. The patio furniture could be updated. We saw the reviews and sprayed for bugs but they were still noticeably bad. I did expect this to be a lakeview, not looking as carefully as I should of. The lake is down a long driveway or a path through the woods (which had poison ivy along the way) and a few ticks were found on people after walking through the trail. We opted to take the driveway route after that. Also, the dock is very unstable and overgrown with plants to walk on. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was nicely stocked. Communication was easy and quick with property owners!

Great Space

Well, we just spent a great week at the property and I can't recommend it enough. The house is large. Its not just large to house three families, but large to give people privacy and space. Lake is gorgeous and kids spent loads of time fishing with the gear available. Yes there are mosquitos and flies, not so bad in early August. The pontoon was a great fun way to spend time around the lake. Would recommend as a great place to do reunions. Shootout to the caretaker for looking out for our group and answering any questions we had.

Terrific Family Lake Home

Grandparents, parents and grandkids had lots of space to play, hang and eat. House is very clean, owners are very nice and easy to work with. We’ll equipped kitchen, access to fishing gear and we enjoyed the lake and pontoon. Consistent with other comments, bugs were the biggest negative and prevented more outdoor time but we made the best of it and everyone had a great time.

Spacious, comfortable property

This cabin serves us well! Plenty of beds for our large family (we had 11 people), and lots of space for the kids to roam and play. It’s tucked nicely in a wooded area and served as a great backdrop for our family pictures. We would stay again!
