Set on a half-acre, this newer, single-level, two-bedroom home is the ideal place to spend a family vacation no matter what time of year you visit! The living area features a large, flatscreen TV mounted above a handsome gas fireplace, plus lots of comfortable furniture. You'll love watching your favorite DVDs on the TVs while the central AC and two ceiling fans keep the home nice and cool. With stainless steel appliances that include a French-door refrigerator, double wall oven, and a dishwasher, the well-equipped, full kitchen is waiting to help you prepare fantastic family meals. The kitchen also offers gorgeous morning mountain views. Serve your culinary masterpieces at the wood dining table or take them outside to enjoy al fresco.

Watch for the fog to clear and the mountain to appear in the mornings. The deck is furnished and spacious, and the kids will love romping around the yard while you fire up the private gas grill to throw a little char on some freshly caught fish from nearby Coweeta Creek. The creek also features rapids that are perfect for summertime tubing! Enjoy reclining on the hammock by the stream, and rinse off from swimming or fishing in the outdoor shower. Play a game of cornhole with the family! In the evenings, gather everyone around the firepit to share some lively conversation or enjoy some stargazing. The private washer/dryer will help keep everyone's laundry sparkling clean, so you can afford to pack light for your trip. Don't forget to use the free WiFi to research a few fun outdoor activities or download a playlist to your device. And when it's time to tuck in for the night, you'll have two spacious bedrooms to settle into including a main bedroom with a gas fireplace. You'll enjoy a prime location to enjoy gem and mineral shows in the gem capital of the world.

The house and property were excellent. We cooked on the grill several times, which is on the patio over looking the stream, nothing better! The house is well appointed and has everything you need. i would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to get away from it all and have a very enjoyable experience!

Wonderful getaway!

The cabin is super clean and well decorated. We especially loved being right on the creek and being able to fish. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed. My only suggestion is to provide some grill tools and a meat thermometer. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful!

We enjoyed our time at Coweeta Rapids so much. The cabin was very clean and beds were comfortable. We loved going down to fish and tube in the river. Guests that struggle with mobility would have trouble going down to the river and coming back up because it is pretty steep. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Creekside Home

We had a wonderful stay at Coweeta Rapids.The layout of the home was fantastic and everything was clean. We really enjoyed the gas fireplace in both the living room and master bedroom. We opened the windows so we could hear the rushing water of the creek up in the home. The views of the creek were fantastic and the creekside seating and fire pit area were wonderful.

Christmas Stay

The house and property were even better than expected. The last part of the drive was a little rough, but not long, so it was not an issue once we saw the house. We have family in the area and this was the perfect spot for us. I loved the view and hearing the creek every time I went outside.

Beautiful home in the mountains

We loved the location of the house , it was perfect for us 3 and had everything we needed. The creek was our 2 year old’s favorite thing although it was cold this time of year.Fall was in full effect. Will be coming back for sure.

Great get away

We had a very nice stay. The house was located a ways off the road, however it was not as secluded as we thought when we booked. Beautiful home cozy. Had a difficult time finding instructions for fire place use.

Everything you need is here!

The creek was the main attraction! My family and I spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying the sound of the water. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal. The rooms were clean and everything worked great! This is a great rental, especially for older folks.

Beautiful Home

The home is beautifully furnished. We were too early in the season to make use of any of the outside amenities. The drive in the first time was a bit unnerving (narrow, worried about meeting oncoming vehicle) and locating the house at the dead end...the Vacasa symbol sign helped a lot.

Quick getaway

This home in the mountains was just what we needed. It was so nice to get away to somewhere so quiet for me and my fiancé to recharge from the hustle and bustle of work and life in general. The home was very clean and cozy. We were able to experience the train ride also in Bryson City. If you’re looking for a quite nice getaway I highly recommend this place. The only downfall was the master bedroom didn’t have a TV and it is hard for us to fall asleep with no tv so we ended up staying in the other bedroom.

Great Weekend Getaway

This property was a wonderful place for a weekend getaway. The house is well maintained and has most things you need for your stay. Most importantly, everything seemed very clean. The master bedroom has a king bed which seemed to be memory foam which was quite comfortable to sleep on. We used the gas grill to make some steaks - I have never seen a cleaner gas grill at a rental house. Down the hill at the bottom of the property, we relaxed by the stream and loved the sound of the rushing water. Very close to a lot of adventures in the mountains. The house right before you reach the property seems abandoned with broken down trucks in the driveway. Other than that, the neighborhood was nice and peaceful. Great stay and I would recommend.

Beautiful setting

We had a wonderful time at this little cabin. It is rather a bumpy ride the last mile or so on a dirt road, but the GPS took us right to the place. The hill to get down to the creek pictured in the description is quite steep up toward the house, but still peaceful to listen to when the windows were open. The master bathtub had a ring of dirt around the top where a water line was, so I didn't want to use it. There were also fleas in the cabin, although the description says absolutely no pets. I came home with quite a few bites. Other than those few minor things, we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The home was comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were updated. The fall foliage around the cabin and in town was spectacular.

Pros and Cons for this Stay

PROS - Very clean and as pictured inside the home - Well-stocked kitchen -Comfy beds , if you like Tempur Pedic. CONS -Houses and on-going construction surrounding the place. Pics are very deceiving and serve to make you think it is in a more secluded area. - “Yard” is a treacherous dirt hill covered with weeds and anthills. - Creek is so far away that it’s not really enjoyable from the house (my main reason for booking) - No cornhole game to be found , as advertised - The Christmas Decor is bit off putting in summer - Wifi is just good enough to give you some hope, but frustrate you. We had a family emergency and had to drive down the mountain to get any service because the Wi-Fi was dangerously useless. - Always either entirely too hot or too cold in the house . - Tub WAY too deep , Could not in good conscience use it, as it took over 45 minutes to fill it halfway and that was not enough to use the Jets - Not a single bathmat in the entire house. Almost slipped several times and cracked my skull open

The amenities surpassed our expectations. The house was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated and the kitchen was up to date. The view from the cabin was beautiful - loved sitting by the creek and listening to the rushing water. We will definitely return, but next time it will be for two weeks rather than one! Top notch!

Weekend getaway

The house was easy to find, the house is clean and the neighborhood is quiet. We did have to reach out to vacasa for some simple issues but other than that it was a good place to stay for the weekend.
